Yep! sometimes you go to change down and have to catch yourself, convincing yourself everything is going to be ok... when it doesn't 'clunk' down anymore..🤣 Important to report motorists, for everyone else sake if not retaliation and it is hard to not be mad, Who gives them the right to risk your life... only gotta get moved a bit by a pot hole or stone and it's all over! I do wonder if the police actually follow any of them up though.. the policy in Sussex is if you report online you won't hear if they are convicted or anything... unless you use another method?? Great bit of climbing, hate hills but do as many as I can to get that stamina... Did the ditching beacon and thought I was gonna pass out haha!!🥵 Stay safe man.
Great job! That last one is a "two cake climb"! Stabilization off is an interesting idea. It does add to the effect of what it feels like to climb a very steep grade. Well done!

last time i went down Coldharbour there hundreds of mtb's going up a few years ago now but always sticks in my mind really good vlog enjoyed your suffering 🤣🤣 and Barhatch is pretty tough at the top there is a lovely climb off of it Alderbrook

I recognised Leith Hill from Zwift actually 🤣 I should go out more often. I did most of them but Leith still didn't do it. There's quite a few step hills around there, the hardest I've done is Bec, but is a bit further east 👉 Great content btw! I subbed, see you up some hills ✌

Great ride Ben! Stabilization off definitely helps to show the effort you're putting in, but sensitive souls like me get a bit of motion sickness after a while lol! Annoyingly I've been off the bike all summer because of a persistent hip injury 😭but the last ride I did in Surrey back in May was pretty much this exact route! I love the atmosphere around Coldharbour village, tucked away in the forest, up on the hills. When I was there, the lanes descending back down from Coldharbour were lined with Rhododendrons in full bloom, it was pretty magical. The only thing that spoils it for me (even worse than cars!) are the road surfaces. Had a squeaky bum moment on a twisty descent down from Coldharbour when rear wheel skidded out on gravel and then later hit some big potholes just as I started the descent from Barhatch. Couldn't judge the road surface at all in dappled sunlight in my shades and as I was picking up quite a bit of speed (with cars behind) didn't want to take my hands off the brakes/handlebars to take the glasses off. Was quite a stressful experience! Congrats, the hill challenge is coming along nicely, but you've still got quite a few to go... if you're not careful, your Festive 500 might have to include a lot of elevation this year! 🚵♀⛰🚵⛰😅😓😫 👍👍

I've had the problem a few times before and thought it would work itself out but I think I need to book a physio asap. I guess you have to choose stabilization on/off when you record the video, or can you do it in editing? You could have it on for the long sections and then turn it off just for the steepest segments? I notice Simon's book includes a hill on the Isle of Wight, so that should be a fun trip! I hear cycling is great round there, looking forward to the vid! Keep up the great work!
