Fuck you! Ran a whole tvhm m11 run with this and all the challenges and smoked em(except guardian trial cause fuck that) and it did it all! Never beat Hemovorous above m3 with my own farm builds and nuke him in m11 with this. I'll never improve it, ruined the game

Just wanted to add for anyone else who has joined borderlands 3 late. Your hustler class mod NEEDS splash damage radius and your tobbogan artifact Needs AOE damage in 2nd or 3rd slot. If you do not have both, this build will simply not work at all.
Damnit cause my toboggan has shock on it and I could not get nothing to Boresplode like he does.

@@Estuscancel again tho by that point I wouldn't need the build hence it would be pointless. It's why I hate every build guide for Borderlands games. If you are building a character and have no clue what type of stuff you should be aiming for allllllll the guides are like get this stuff by farming the toughest creatures hundreds of times and hoping for a good role. Meanwhile you get dropped instantly because they never mentioned how to build up so you can face the toughest creatures. Hence pointless build.
I love how much more in-depth the explanation was in this video compared to the original one. I learned a lot through this video and I can't wait to test the build.

It goes full circle. Each character has the strongest because of the next interaction in the list above funny enough, for example; flak has the strongest melee because his pet can scale its damage and your dmg to buff melee.
To further what i mean by the next interaction; move CAN have the strongest splash because of her action skill, which is what i said in the zane sentence and zane can have and even stronger action skill if his digiclone spams fishslaps proccing lightning chains.
Or paragrin fl4k with fish slaps, white elephants
I don't really like calling fishslap melee it literally requires barely anything to be good equip a unleash the dragon without skill points and it could probably kill a boss faster then some gun builds

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but the Complex Root has a really cool interaction with eraser as well. I suggest trying it out its crazy.
This build brings me back to the old days where i would try to kill hyperious with the starter pistol and bore and fail miserably, but im sure this building will be easier to do than that lol

I was never able to do the damage that moxxy gets with this boresplosion, but mobbing is hella fun!!!

Took me a dozen tries to one shot it with copy of exact build after a couple days getting used to it..and wasn't nearly as cool. The way he edited with the perfect track adds to its massive epicness. I've watched it sooo many times

I've been farming for a hustler with splash radius for a week now. I have enough blind sages to take ona devil king, enough faulty stars to decorate the night sky and hustlers to start a pyramid skeme, but not one with aoe radious.

i was doing the same. then i gave in and popped the github coms mod for slaughter shaft. and less than a day farming and i got a hustler with splash damage and radius.

He has people make the items, he got caught once because the people who made him the items messed up the item where the item wasn’t possible to theoretically role.

@@IIXLR8II your skill points are probably bugged. You should be getting 70 everytime you respec. Also i have this exact build and it works just fine for me.
1 swap weapons
2 barrier! Important for bosses, option for mobbing
3 Toboggan slide
4 mantis to proc ASE abilities
5 Aim down sights...
6 While sliding...
7 don't hit directly or if you do make sure to crit
8 hit multiple enemies or 1 multiple times
9 Kill EVERYTHING!
I consistently get like 3 or 4 of these and kill hardest shit in the game

@@balenciaqua Goal is multiple hits, so that example works best with the creamer where rocket repeatedly cause an explosion every 50 feet, you want first explosion to damage boss as it passes then for boss to get hit when rocket hits ground or another enemy to multiply damage. If you direct hit boss(when not a crit) projectile stops traveling so you don't remultiply damage over again.
Alternatively shoot downway with a splash gun with multiple projectiles like shocker. Some pellets will damage on impact, then remaining pellets will damage again when splashing off floor giving you the multiplier
@@balenciaqua I hated builds like this that required multiple steps to max damage but a couple days testing what works best for you and you'll get a feel for it. I recommend replaying Athenas trying different weapons and slightly changing strats to test cause it's a map most have played a ton so you'll notice when something is working
@@balenciaqua practice in rooms with tons O mobs to see how you get the multiple extra explosions. Haven't had much feed back so don't know what else to say. I didn't think i could run this kind of build but just takes practices learning. Mox can only do so much for us

you have to try it with the plasma coil (or some other radioactive weapon). when the enemy dies, it causes an explosion of 100-200m damage

Oh my god, this build. At first I thought it was terrible because I didn't have great rolls on some of my gear and I was dying constantly. After sticking with it and figuring out the tricks to using it, this thing really does hit hard. I can't get the damage you've been doing until I improve some rolls, but I'm still enjoying the hell out of what's been happening so far.
How long did it take you to grind for all the right rolls?

I really like the nukem with this build. The giant explosions everywhere that you are immune the the damage is just so satisfying.

@@jacobrobinson8639 Yes. Borderlands uses weighted drops. The character you play, will have items weighted to drop for them more.
IN the BL3 Redux mod Boresplosion zane is fun! :D the Norfleet returns in the mod and it's quite the fun weapon on him, with it's pretty damn big splash radius and damage it's quite fun to kill with! just wear a transformer just in case if it's in shock
actually no. redux remove anointment system, even made normal mob stronger(iirc badass in slaughter 3k has over 100m hp)

nah, its verry hard. gearbox is mostly just fixing bugs. and its an DLC skill tree, and 99% of all good items ingame are from DLCs (re-volter, light spot, purple tree, etc)
they didn't nerf scraptrap nest, so no way they are fixing this

Id love to see all the guns that work with this build at some point, i found that the conference call can have some interesting effects if it works correctly (bring back will it eraser pls! if theres nothing more to test, i understand)
but also I wanted to make a note regarding *my* experience with this build.
I don't fully understand how your gear requirement rating scale works, specifically whether more stars is more gear dependent or less stars is more gear dependent
*If the latter is true, ignore the rest of my comment*
You need a hustler with splash damage radius. this alone can take hours to farm as the hustler has a 10% drop rate and you need one passive effect out of roughly 30+ possible choices
If you dont, you can still just hit normal crits, but the build is much less viable for mobbing, so the mobbing potential is directly correlated to that single piece of gear.
If your hustler doesnt come with splash damage as well, then you need it on your artifact. not necessarily a back breaking requirement, but it is something to remember to farm for.
The most consistent launcher I found to use in most bossing scenarios is the globetrottr, which is definitely not the easiest weapon to come by. (the creamer is too finicky with its midair explosion imo) as well, you need two elements out of the 5 possible ones, so 3/5 globetrottrs will be useless for the build if you are farming them. A similar point goes for the complex root too.
With these points in mind, id argue that the build is very gear dependant, considering theres only a small handful of weapons that even work with the build at all and you need any class mod with at least one specific passive to kill bosses and a specific class mod with two specific passives for the build to be able to kill ads effectively.
I feel like Moxsy might need to revisit this build and explain it more clearly since for some people it works and for others it just doesn’t. Might be a mechanics issue people just don’t get. Because for sure I’ve looked at hotfixes that have been posted and none mention nerfs which would effect this build.

Y’all should try to pierce more targets, read what Eraser does again, it increases damage per target pierced. If it’s just one boss with no enemies whatsoever it won’t work. Your damage basically is increased for each target you hit. I just got it to work, put my game on Mayhem 10 and rolled for modifiers that gave me more targets (ex: Healy Avenger Drones).
@@CentauriTT The build still works on bosses with no enemies near it. It relies on the crit spot. The crit spot will create splash explosions and extra piercing with the rocket shots. The hardest boss to pull the 1 hit off on is the final boss in the discipline takedown. Even then that's when you use something like a creamer, when you use a globetrotter you can just shoot the floor and it will shred the boss nearly 1 shot even with no enemies near.
The reason this build works for some but doesn't for others even after all gear and mechanics are replicated is that xbox one and ps4 ( old gen ) and pc servers have different mod and artifact effects. For instance when you roll 55% area-of-effect damage on the toboggan 1st column it has a different effect than it would be in the 2nd or 3rd column - the second or third column gives additional benefits to the area-of-effect %. It increases the splash damage radius and area of effect damage % as well as a hidden splash damage bonus. On the ps5 and xbox x the effects are fixed to where regardless of the column area-of-effect rolls on it gives only the effects listed instead of the hidden effects which is " area - of - effect damage increase 55% ". Making the borsplosion ineffective.
Its funny how this build is so strong it makes the thumper viable, Ive been doing rocket launcher zane builds like this since cold bore got buffed but ever since zane got erasure (bore) its been freakin crazy...

It doesn't. I tied it out. Initial shot doesn't do much dmg and the orbs don't do splash damage.
Toboggan can't have Heavy damage and Magazine size at the same time, cause they are both primary parts and Toboggan can have only one primary part
(Toboggan has a limited list of secondary parts can be used and there's no Mag size part in that list)

Would you be able to make a clear list of Weapons, Shields, artifacts, grenade mods, class mods, and the most useful anoints for the builds in the future? If not, all good, I know that’s a lot of extra work

For dummys Like me:

I have a perfect creamer, finally got a splash hustler (282 Hustlers to finally get one), and I can take down bosses 10x faster and easier with my Breath of the dying or Butcher. I have to be doing something wrong! I've yet to do any noticeable damage with my creamer, let alone 1 punch any boss.
Admittedly this is my first time trying to emulate somebody's builds. Moxsy you make great videos which give lots of inspiration, but I cannot for the life of me get this to work like yours in the slightest. Keep up the good work though!
I added a cutpurse launch pad to the build, it seems you run out of ammo pretty fast with the build, I got mag size, AOE and heavy weapon dmg on it too.
Damn that’s a good find, I just started a Zane character to get back into the game, I have a pretty crazy rakk attack flak build but the Zane builds just look so fun

Not really sure whats NOT working for me... got the mod, got the re-roll, and went to check it on Ruiner... I must be doing something wrong as when i shot it wit my splash dam launcher i felt as if Ruiner should look at me with this "suprised swear drop" going down his "face" as not much damage was delt. Or by any chance i got the worst version of Huslter Class mod?
Such a joke that he put two stars on the gear requirement. You have to have your anoints perfectly rolled for this build to work or your not doing shit for damage.

i realize this video is over a year old but feel the need to say that i'd love to try this build but am on console and play solo and apparently suck so anything that includes arms race gear is out of the question...

For some reason this build doesn't want to work on bosses for me. It works on normal enemies but when I try to use it on bosses it doesn't seem to want to work for me. I also have everything needed for this build. Any ideas?

Great video but the gear requirements are way off. A good tobaggon is HARD to get. Along with a few others, I would classify it at least 4 stars.
I think 2 stars means it's very bad on gear requirements aka very hard to obtain, the right rolls on class mod, artifact, and all the splash annoints. So 2 stars means very very hard to get this build set up.

Sadly, I've been farming for this gear since the first video came out and still don't have the god rolls 😭 I keep getting Hustlers with near god rolls except don't have splash damage radius 🤦 on the plus side, I've near mastered one-shotting Locomobius right as it enters 😁
I have discovered that you'll still get good results if you just have a Hustler and an artifact with AOE damage BUT it has to be on the 2nd or 3rd line of the artifact to increase SD radius otherwise it just increases damage. Just recently learned this.

Some of these rocket roles you get from save file could take 3+ years of grinding 10 drops of the rocket a day. It's insane it annoys me but I am one of the people who uses save files to put the gear on my character and when I am lvl 72 I equip it. Then I farm the gear with the op gear so it's half rewarding. I wish I played this game like you

Says no damage on initial shot but is a 4th of its shield bar.... like I get comparatively thats its not a lot but id be happy doing just that first bit of damage per shot let alone freaking one shooting the 2 most difficult bosses in the game...

I think they nerfed the build. I must have over-penetrated 12 enemies at one point and the build barely went above 4M damage

Trying this build out, and I'm not able to make it 1 shot seer. I've tried a few times, but this doesn't really seem to work?
Important note: Ravager AoE damage part DOES NOT WORK. The artifact's AoE damage part HAS to be AreaDamage (the latter appears lower in the list of passives when sorted among them than the Ravager version does). You can check the name of the AoE part with a save editor, but most people just go by how low the effect is listed in the passive list. This can be misleading sometimes with other passives that appear lower than both, but you'll know when you have the right passive when your shots actually chain Eraser. Splash radius on class mod is important, too, as there seems to be a glitchy interaction between the AreaDamage part and other splash radius boosts (it's the combination that makes the radius nuts, a "greater than the sum of its parts" kind of deal). If anyone trying a Hustleraser build like this one isn't seeing Eraser chain with splash weapons, it's because splash is missing from the COM, or the AoE part on their artifact is the wrong kind - check your gear before giving up on the build if your Eraser chains aren't happening!
Note that this particular splash radius combo (class mod + AreaDamage part on artifact) is what makes the Complex Root hit entire rooms and the whole area around you, which is how Amara's Indiscriminate can ricochet enough to rip off 25% of the HP of a 10 billion HP level 142 enemy at Mayhem 11 using level 72m10 gear (keeping in mind the 70 level difference gives insane damage reduction of like 99.9%, or more). Of course, melee Amara hits 1,000x that hard against a level 72 enemy, but still...

rongly suggest you trying 5/5 +3 on cryo wepon swap with kickcharger and toboggan it wrecks bosses as if they were skag pups

From what I’ve seen on Reddit it doesn’t work on new consoles since SDR now only does splash damage and this build really needs that radios to work well. Weird how they changed it for new gene but not pc or old gen consoles

Very cool ...the thing that sucks is you buy season pass 2 and your on psn there nobody to match make to play arms race and two keys this build are tucked away in there.... I hate hate hate arms race !!!! I havent been able to get the shield or the artifact since they were added and we don't have access to save files like p.c. players. Oh well very cool build none the less
Just a heads up this build DOES friendly fire dmg!!! It is really bad I highly recommend not using this build when playing with friends
Just dont use rocket launchers that deal friendly dmg like yellowcake, nuclear jerico, ect ect.

@@logancrumly1824 plaguebearer, hive, nukem, satisfaction/creamer, globetrotter, major kong and even snipers that have rocket launcher underbarrels...
these will prove to be very fun as they attain the crit dmg, get them with digiclone regen ammo and use a supersoldier shield with amp and absorb prefferably or a 3x absorb/amp/power charge revolter shield. Could try halloween ammo regen to see if that regens the rockets on snipers, might not be needed with zanes skill and ammo regen, make sure your classmod AND artifact has mag size tho attempting sniper rocket builds.
There is one other rocket launcher similar to plague that does a singularity nade after firing called backburner that also does friendly damage unlike plaguebearer which does not. Let me know how it goes.

I have all these items hut it IS NOT working, my hustler and toboggan have Nothing to AoE or Radius for the launcher though, is that my issue?
I have the hustler but not any splash damage, I have the creamer with 125% splash radius but I don’t do any damage. On my tabogon I have 55% splash radius. Still nothing
The toboggan is adding 55% damage, so without the radius increase on the Hustler and more of a Radius on the creamer your Eraser procs are probably popping to far away from the target to trigger a second/third time.

Yeah I couldn’t make this work the first time consistently even w the hustler and splash damage and a tobagon artifact. But I see I didn’t stack the splash damage bonus high enough. I didn’t even get a hustler w the bonus on it… it’s too damn hard to farm that dumb artifact smh

Just getting back into the game after a year or more off it, anyone help me out where to get gear etc? Everyone says you need this shield, that gun, this mod etc and I’m lost 😅

Yo brother you need to run w friends bc my mate has been running a build similar to yours fr about 8 months now n you have know idea tht alot of those splash guns knock your teammates no matter where there at on the map these are facts globetrotters yellowcake devils foursome n a few others will definitely kill your team you should definitely test some of your builds w friends 😉🤣😎😜😏

I need to give this a try again because I'm not too pleased with Zane ATM. I am level 71 and it just feels that i'm dumping bullets into enemies which gives me big sad.
Does all the weapon splash dmg anointed perks stack? even if you don't have them equipped in your hand. Same with splash radius, is it just for that specific weapon?
Can’t farm the hustler class mod because my map is bugged and it won’t let me progress to the boss :(
I've got the gear ..and I'm not getting this second and third damage phases? Nothing even close?
Do you got the same parts/passives? I can't be certain, but I think this is the kind of build where it doesn't work until you've stacked enough +Splash Radius. I don't think you can just equip any old Hustler, grab a basic Creamer, and it just magically works. I think it's very finicky about the passives and what launchers/weapons to use with which bosses. I'm in the same boat, I'd almost like a video or a guide detailing what launchers work best with each boss with this build too.
@@ryancooper280 that was kind of my thoughts. My hustlers has splash damage bonus, my toboggan is kind of generic but all weapons are spot on..I don't know if one roll makes a difference. ? Maybe ? I love to farm but , that's just not a valuable use of my time..I dunno
