Dear Rabbi, when I use your arguments on Christians here in South Africa they simply cave in and run.
I hope one day to come to walk the streets of Jerusalem with you to debate with these Christian missionaries and win our people back.
I'm a Christian and I'm not running. The genealogy of Joseph emphasizes that Jesus inherits David. Even if Jesus didn’t share his DNA, he was Joseph’s adopted son and therefore the legal royal heir to David's throne.
As for Jeconiah's curse that his offspring would not rule and he will not prosper (therefore Jesus having Jeconiah in his lineage couldn't inherit David's throne due to the curse)... that curse was either meant for his lifetime (in Jeremiah 22:30 it says that he would not see his descendants on the throne IN HIS DAYS), OR it was lifted due to his possible repentance. Proof for that, in Jeremiah 52:31-34 shows that (contrary to the curse) he prospered. Also his grandson Zerubabbel (1 Chronicles 3:16-19) became governor of Judah (Haggai 2:2, 23). Another proof that the curse was no longer valid is Matthew mentioning Jeconiah (he surely was aware of it but represented a non issue).

According to the Bible, Joseph had two male parents (Heli and Jacob).
Who was Joseph's father? From which of David's sons was Jesus descended, Solomon or Nathan?
Solomon?
"David the king begat Solomon ... and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ."
(Matthew 1:6-16)
Or Nathan?
"And Jesus ... Jesus was known as the son of Joseph. Joseph was the son of Heli.... who was the son of Nathan, who was the son of David."
(Luke 3:23-31)

This shows that the NT has been written most probably by Greek scholars who had no idea about Jewish traditions, They couldn't have been the actual Jewish disciples roaming in Jerusalem at that time
The New Testament is a product of the Roman Empire. Constantine gave explicit instructions to the council of Nicaea who’s job it was to create a new religion. Some of the most antisemitic writings are found in the New Testament as well, this is because the Roman Empire hated the Jews as they fought back against the occupation of Jewish land by the Roman Empire.
I agree that the nt was written by a highly educated group of people for that time period. It could possibly have been written by one person, but he would have been a singular intellect.
At that time, almost everyone was what we might term “functionally illiterate.”
However, whoever wrote the nt was familiar with Torah because he/they had the Jesus character say the loving parts of the Torah and contradict the difficult parts of the Torah. He/They also threw in a bit of Greek aestheticism.
He/They were diabolically clever, for the Jewish people were nearly destroyed.
As we know, though, “Behold the Guardian of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121 v 4).✡️❤️

When someone hates a group, race or culture they twist a persons words or something that happened to fit there hate agenda to harm people. Jesus was born a Jew, his followers were Jews. Jesus died for everyone’s sins; past present and future people. The Romans executed Jesus. People who hate Jews chose to blame the Jews for his death but those that do forget that he died for everyone’s sins. The New Testament is the story of Jesus life, Paul letters, how the early Catholic Church got started (which at the time Catholics were called Christian’s at the time because not everyone excepted and believed Jesus as the messiah, the savior, the son of God

I can tell by listening to you that you are very intelligent and will pray that you see God moving to protect Israel by divine intervention not the wisdom of man. God Bless you my friend !!!
When you read Ezakiel 18:20 "The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them", it becomes clear that the early Christian writers did not read Old Testament very well, how can God send his so called son to die to our sin, when he does not agree for this.

HASHEM would not impregnate a betrothed woman. It's against HIS own law 🥴
So also are a lot of things "HASHEM" did in the OT, including murder on a massive scale multiple times, both personally and vicariously through Israel's armies... killing the guilty and the innocent, alike (e.g., multiple Canaanite cities viciously and mercilessly attacked and their peaceful populations slaughtered during the Conquest of Canaan).
The point here is not to indict "HASHEM"... but to point out that for His purposes, He can and often has been above His own Law. Thus, if (more accurately, when) a first-generation hybrid son is required, He has sired Him to accomplish that key purpose (a la Genesis 6:4). And, yes, Yeshua ("Jesus") was one of those... but His mission here was not a Christian one; He was NOT the "Messiah," was NOT the "Savior", and never started a new religion.
As Yeshua stated, He was "sent unto none but the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel." What the World will never know is exactly who and what those "Lost Sheep" were... and still are today. And they have not Thing One to do with either religion or spirituality. It all has to do with... bloodline... and the Mystery of the Kingdom of God on Earth that Yeshua talked about, yet never revealed to those falsely claiming to be His "apostles"... hence why that Mystery is never revealed in the Gospels or elsewhere.

Great explanation of why Jesus is not from the House of David!
Not great at all. The genealogy of Joseph emphasizes that Jesus inherits David. Even if Jesus didn’t share his DNA, he was Joseph’s adopted son and therefore could have legally inherited the legal right to David's throne.

@@johnanchovie2b John Gospels were written in Aramaic- Matt genealogy Joseph the Gawra of Mary- kinsman redeemer, uncle, protector- a few lines down Mary is betrothed to Joseph her Baalah her husband proper- they are not the same Josephs
As an ex-christian, I debunked Jesus' lineage a long time ago with the New Testament in more concise detail. Hearken to my explanation, please, you will be satisfied.
Mary in the NT has no genealogy except for it being hinted at in Luke 1:34-36. The angel confirmed Mary is biologically blood related to Elisabeth. And Luke 1:5 clearly states that Elisabeth is descended from Aaron. Therefore, since Mary is blood related to Elisabeth, she also follows that lineage. So we can conclude Mary is descended from Aaron of the Levi tribe. There is no mention other than this of her genealogy.
We can disregard her being descended from king David at this point as she is not mentioned anywhere in the NT that she was descended from him anyway. Now, even though Joseph is descended from king David, he is disqualified from having any affiliation with Jesus since he made no biological contribution to Jesus' birth as clearly mentioned in Matthew 1:22-25. Only after his birth did Mary and Joseph biologically "consummate." This is a clear indication that Jesus failed this messianic prophecy.
Your claim that Mary’s connection to Elizabeth proves she’s from the tribe of Levi is speculative and not definitively supported by the text. The New Testament does not explicitly state Mary’s tribal affiliation. While Elizabeth is from Aaron’s lineage, this does not necessarily mean Mary shares the same lineage (Luke 1:36).
Moreover, dismissing Mary’s Davidic descent overlooks the possibility that Luke’s genealogy could trace her lineage, connecting Jesus to David through her. Luke emphasizes that Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s promise to David (Luke 1:32-33), which implies a connection to David’s lineage.
Regarding Joseph’s role, Jewish tradition places significant value on legal descent. Even though Joseph was not Jesus’ biological father, his legal fatherhood grants Jesus the rightful claim to the Davidic line (Matthew 1:20-21; Matthew 1:16), fulfilling the Messianic prophecies (2 Samuel 7:12-16).
Finally, the prophecies of the Messiah are fulfilled not just through biological descent but through the unique circumstances of Jesus' birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:22-23), His legal inheritance, and His divine mission, all of which the New Testament presents as fulfilling the requirements for the Messiah (Romans 1:3-4; Luke 3:23-38).
@@danielmayer1977 Isaiah 7:14 The woman in this prophecy was described as an almah (the Hebrew word for "young woman of childbearing age") not a virgin (betulah (בְּתוּלָה) in Hebrew).
While one may be hopeful that all young women of marriageable age are, indeed, virgins, not specifically stating that fact when it is the most significant part of the story would make it a bad prophecy and a stupid thing to do.
Also, the only significance the child she bears will have is to mark the date when the armies of Ephraim & Syria will no longer threaten to attack Judah, which will happen "before the child knows to reject the bad and choose the good'"
This verse in Isiah is one of the most egregious distortions of Hebrew scripture that Christians use.
@@Herschel1738
In Isaiah 7:14, the term "almah" is generally understood to mean "young woman of childbearing age" and does not exclusively mean "virgin" in Hebrew. However, in the cultural context of ancient Israel, an unmarried "almah" was typically assumed to be a virgin. For example, in Genesis 24, Rebekah is described as an "almah" (Genesis 24:43) when Abraham’s servant seeks a bride for Isaac. Just a few verses earlier, she is explicitly identified as a "betulah" (Genesis 24:16), meaning "virgin." This suggests that "almah" in contexts like these implied virginity. The Greek Septuagint, a Jewish translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek completed centuries before Christ, translates "almah" in Isaiah 7:14 as "parthenos," which specifically means "virgin." This translation indicates that early Jewish interpreters understood "almah" in this context to imply virginity.
The prophecy in Isaiah 7:14 is indeed set within a specific historical context, addressing King Ahaz during the threat from Ephraim and Syria. This prophecy likely had an immediate fulfillment in Isaiah’s time, possibly referring to a child born during that period. Many scholars agree that biblical prophecies often carry both an immediate application, relevant to the contemporary audience, and a future, more significant fulfillment. Within the Christian tradition, Isaiah 7:14 is viewed as having its ultimate fulfillment in the birth of Jesus, whom the New Testament presents as Emmanuel, "God with us" (Matthew 1:22-23).
The concept of dual fulfillment is not unique to Christian interpretation; it also exists within Jewish tradition. For example, in Jewish eschatology, the prophecies concerning the Messiah often have multiple layers. Isaiah 11, which speaks of a future Davidic king who will bring peace and justice, has been understood historically to refer to Hezekiah or another righteous king in the line of David. However, it is also seen as pointing forward to the ultimate Messianic figure expected by Jews. This illustrates that the idea of prophecies having both immediate and distant applications is a shared interpretive approach.
It's important to recognize that different traditions approach these texts in various ways. The suggestion that the Christian interpretation of Isaiah 7:14 as a prophecy of the virgin birth distorts Hebrew Scripture overlooks the longstanding Jewish tradition of interpreting prophecies with multiple layers of meaning. The Christian perspective builds on this tradition by seeing the prophecy as part of a larger messianic expectation fulfilled in Jesus, while fully acknowledging the prophecy's original historical significance.
What is your rebuttal? Actually, everything I said is the only supported text of evidence for Mary's lineage. Even the Quran is correct when addressing Mary as the daughter of Aaron of Levi; Sura 19:27-28. So even the quranic authors knew these bible verses I quoted.
As I noted, read Luke 1:5 and luke 1:34-36 again. You ignored this explicit connection there of Mary's lineage. She is a descendant of Aaron of the Levi tribe. It's quite clearly mentioned there. Ignoring key points in an argument means you have no argument against what I said there. And please don't speak to me like an AI debate bot, thanks.

The Mother of the Jesus as the Messiah must be a Virgin
CCC 437 To the shepherds, the angel announced the birth of Jesus as the Messiah promised to Israel: “To you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” From the beginning he was “the one whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world”, conceived as “holy” in Mary’s virginal womb.2 God called Joseph to “take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit”, so that Jesus, “who is called Christ”, should be born of Joseph’s spouse into the messianic lineage of David.
You can believe whatever you wish. The New testament is a work of fiction but if you believe it's the work of God that's your business. But when Matthew says that the proof of Jesus is actually in the Hebrew scripture that's what we have to draw the line. Matthew couldn't read a word of Hebrew. He was using a Greek translation and he went through it to try to find things that sounded like it might apply to Jesus. But if you speak Hebrew you find that they're all complete nonsense. Christian scholars know this. However, they cannot admit it. If they do, then Matthew falls apart and fails and with it Christianity. That's why you get thousands and thousands of pages of endless arguments trying to explain Matthew 7:14 and Psalm 110 and Daniel 9 and Isaiah 53 and on and on and on and each one of them more scandalous than the rest. Hi, I'm a Catholic from Italy and I promise I won't delete the comment. Maybe someone like me has already answered, I didn't check, but the argument doesn't make much sense, because the evangelists Matthew and Luke, authors of these genealogies, themselves affirm that Mary conceived by the work of the Holy Spirit. In Matthew, in the same chapter of the genealogy, it is said three times, first by the angel of the Lord to Joseph (Mt 1:20), then through the prophecy of Isaiah (Mt 1:23), then by the author directly and equally explicitly in verse 25.
In any case, you speak very well and it's a pleasure to listen to you.
Praise be to Jesus Christ
So Joseph was not the father. The Jewish messiah is from the house of David. You can call him your Christian messiah but not the Jewish one.
You're arguing for immaculate conception. This video addresses a different issue. The whole idea of a Messiah, is one born from the House of King David, who belonged to the tribe of Judah (out of the 12 tribes of Israel). It is his "identity" if you like - before any other trait or divine workings. There have been other people divinely touched throughout history and written about in the Bible. But they are not claimed to be the Messiah. It is the genealogy of the Messiah that is a prerequisite for the title.
And since it is the male line that determines the tribal lineage, if Jesus has no human father, the whole claim to the House of King David- which the Church tries very hard to establish- is completely irrelevant.
@@lotooky4461 For Catholics, the New Testament and the Holy Scriptures in general are important, but so are Tradition and the Magisterium of the Church. Now, for the last two, not only Joseph, but also Mary is of the House of David... and not only of David, but also of Aaron. Because the Messiah is King and Priest, according to our interpretation and according to a broader vision of the messianic promises contained in the Tanakh/Old Testament. In fact, Tradition has given us the names of Mary's parents, that is, Anna, descendant of Aaron, and Joachim, descendant of David (we celebrate them in our liturgical calendar on July 26). The Gospels do not say it explicitly, because the evangelists have to say many things and they have to do it in the most concise way possible. However, nothing in them is against this version that has been handed down to us, indeed, in the Gospels Mary appears as a virgin engaged to a man of the house of David, whose only known relative is Elizabeth, her cousin, mother of John the Baptist, who is married to a priest who officiated in the Temple.
@@lim7lim Now I understand the speech better, the rabbi wanted to affirm that the Messiah must descend from David through his father and that even the evangelists with that genealogy try to justify this thing. So, according to you, Isaiah's prophecy of the virgin giving birth would not concern the Messiah but some other character or prophet.
My answer is that the Church was founded by Jews and not all of them coming from the people, but also from the educated classes (Saint Paul, Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimathea, etc.). Now, they believed that Jesus had all the necessary characteristics to declare himself Messiah and be it, so I don't understand why two thousand years later he no longer has them. What the religious caste of the time, according to the Gospels, accused him of was not the lack of correspondence with the messianic prophecies (except for coming from Nazareth, from Galilee, which for them was inappropriate), but what they put him to death for were the miracles performed by Jesus on the Sabbath, and "for the blasphemy" of calling God his father, "- and because you, being a man, make yourself God - " (John 10:33).
P.S. In Catholic theology, the Immaculate Conception does not refer to the virginal conception of Jesus, but is a concept that expresses the fact that Mary was created in the same conditions of sanctity in which Eve was in Eden before committing the sin.
@@lim7limTrying to explain that to them is like talking to a brick wall😊. They can't handle it.

Hello Tovia
I have the same problem with xtians. I was talking to a catholic Bishop. He was trying to get me to come back to the j man. When I refused & told him why, he blocked me on Facebook & messenger.
Was what you said to him that disgusting?
@@HisMessenger-wf5qd The woman was speaking to a catholic Bishop and called Jesus a "j man". The good Rabbi appreciated that and he prized her with a heart.
Why is it so difficult for you to understand?
😉
@HisMessenger-wf5qd I told the catholic Bishop he was wasting his time trying to get me to come back to the j man. I didn't say j man to the Bishop so as not to offend. I explained briefly how that trinity doctrine is not biblical, but pagan in origin. Therefore it is idolatry to worship or pray to the j man & I refuse to return to idolatry. I also mentioned that the j man means nothing to me. I guess I offended the Bishop. I do tend to be upfront with people when talking about the truth of the Hebrew scriptures. Perhaps my approach was wrong, but I have no patience when xtians try to get me to return to idolatry.

But historically there was a man named Jesus that existed and preached love and forgiveness
Some will always believe in him as the savior and others won’t.
I disagree with you, Rabbi. They are lying. They’re not stupid. They see what the text says, just like you and I do. It is crystal clear. There is no ambiguity. But clinging to their beliefs, whether by societal or familial pressures, is more important to them than realizing and admitting the truth.
I once identified as a Christian and I believed everything these pastors told me. I don't think the average layperson in the church knows because as soon as I realized that the so-called New testament completely I was Torah teaches I started asking my pastors and my Sunday school teacher is a lot of hard questions and they did not like it! I think the pastors and the people who went to Bible college absolutely know the truth but they want to believe this lie so much they practice something called doublethink like in the book 1984 by George Orwell. They completely believe two opposite things at the same time and they believe them both completely. It's called indoctrination it's called brainwashing and it's called severe mental illness. I ran from Christianity as fast as I could and became a Noahide! When your religious authorities that you have known for years and you trust tell you something you assume they're telling you the truth. Huge mistake! It's really sad what Christianity has done to this world.
Jesus is the Messiah, born into David's lineage as promised, and you use the immaculate conception as an argument against his divine legitimacy... So you would rather have David's sin stained heritage than God as the king? Look at God's warning to Israel when they ask Samuel for a king... It is not you they have rejected, but me. Non the less, God sends his Son, able to heal and undo every sin passed down the generations, who defends the Mosaic law to its fullest, who declares death conquered, to be a King that is different from the previous suppressors, one who exalts the oppressed and makes no demands but for his people to love one another and be humble enough to forgive and be forgiven, to change for the better and to listen to God. He is the true leader of Israel. All his original disciples are Israeli descendants, and God will ensure their right.
Under the law set out by God through Moses, Tovia is correct.
You have to separate the church from Jesus.
The church was used politically to gain control of an empire that was falling apart.
Read about the early church and the arguments between the different factions.
Peter, Paul, Mary, etc.
Let me ask a question.
Why would God set up the disciples and give them the Holy Spirit, for them to sit in a boat fishing because they did not know or understand what happened.
When God talked to Moses, he wrote it down. When Joshua took on Moses mantel, he had everything recorded.
As of yet, there is no testament written as Jesus spoke.
There is nothing said by Jesus that is not in Torah.
The symbolism is the same.
If you take the Torah symbolism, the pass over meal means something completely different to that preached by the church.
Jesus never said I am God.
He said he talked to his father.
Revelation takes most of its symbolism from Isaiah and Ezekial.
Why would that happen?
If you understand the Torah, you understand what is being referred to in the gospels. This is because Jesus understood the laws.
The church inadvertently took the old testament to the world.
It is just that they did not understand it.
The Internet has allowed people to see the truth.
The false prophets are those who seduce you to follow the preacher.
The one who says follow God and test what I say, is the truth.
@@milkrabbit4109 your response is filled with assumptions and you have absolutely no evidence to support veracity. First of all Jesus was not born of a virgin. There is no way that you can confirm this other than by blindly believing two contradictory and wildly discrepant reports in the New Testament. They both say that according to prophecy blah blah blah. But there is no prophecy of a virgin birth. Anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of Hebrew knows that this was not a prophecy for 700 years in the future. It was a sign for King Ahaz in that place and time. And common sense would tell you that even if Jesus had no biological father, that fact alone would disqualify him from being the Messiah. The Messiah comes from the line of David. Without a biological father Jesus is disqualified. The truth of the matter is that you are blindly believing a Roman invention. Things like virgin births were quite common in Graeco-Roman and pagan religions, and it seeps into the Roman’s creation of Christianity. Finally, believe the words of the Almighty. The Tanakh is replete with warnings that God is NOT a man. Move away from polytheism and the Roman invention of Christianity. Worship the Lord God Almighty, who is one.

Thanks for clearing up that mess in the New Testament. I was so confused.
Lol, he's wrong.

@@WH6FQE The Hebrew Scripture even if doesn't mention adoption as legal procedure BUT Joseph registered Jesus as his son. He was present when Jesus was born in Bethlehem - where Joseph went to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. Cesar Augustus issued a decree that all people should be registered and so they had to go to Bethlehem as Joseph was from the lineage of David. And while they were there, Mary gave birth to baby Jesus (Luke 2:1-7). So technically Jesus was considered Joseph' son and therefore had the right to inherit him.
In Torah there's no legal adoption BUT there's cases where some people considered the children they raised as their own even if they were born from the relation of their partner with someone else. Abraham, before the birth of Ishmael and Isaac, took in consideration for his slave Eliezer to be his son (Ge 15:2-4). Also, both Rachel and Leah considered their handmaids' children with Jacob to be their sons - "born upon their knees" (Ge 30:3-8, 12, 13, 24) Those children inherited Jacob just like the ones born with his legal wives.
And we have the Talmud that says that those who raise the child of another are considered as if they gave birth to them.

@@WH6FQE Zechariah 14 : 9 describes a time when the Lord will reign as king over all the earth, and all nations will come to Jerusalem to worship Him which is what will happen at the second coming of Jesus. The point that made me realize that Christianity cannot be true, is when I saw how insane the doctrine of the trinity is. That was the point for me when the ice broke. Rabbi Singer found another point, the virgin birth, that is also a point, maybe for other people, for their ice to break.
Lucas 1 , 26-56
2:03 the תלמוד בבלי in חגיגה discusses that it’s permitted for a כהן גדול to marry a בתולה שעיברה so even if a virgin gets pregnant it’s not divine it’s like the case of אמבטיא so why do Christians automatically believe that the false virgin birth is divine?
Thank you Rabbi for that astounding message!. Yes! Just look it up in the scriptures. If you are sincerely seeking the truth, HaShem promised that you would find it. See for yourself. Baruch HaShem!

* We don't care whether he is doing miracles. What really concerns us is that he is doing them on the Sabbath day and thus he is violating the Law.
* We don't care whether he was born from a virgin. What really concerns us is that he hasn't a biological father, so he can't be from the House of David, so he can't be the Messiah.
This is a precious jewel. Thank you, Rabbi Tovia Singer!
41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
42 saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “The son of David.”
43 He said to them, “How is it then that David, in the Spirit, calls him Lord, saying,
44 “‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet”’?
45 If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”
46 And no one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day did anyone dare to ask him any more questions.
Matthew 22:
You know the only person who would actually write a narrative where rabbis didn't know how to answer this question are people who cannot read Hebrew and who never asked a knowledgeable Jewish person to explain it. Do you want me to explain it to you? I mean it's going to really upset you to find out that one of your main go to Jesus arguments is an absolute deception by the church. Actually, in fairness there's a little more to it than that. It's quoted in Matthew but Matthew couldn't read Hebrew. So he was working with a Greek translation and I think he was not malicious. I believe Rabbi Singer thinks that Matthew did a deliberately at maliciously. I don't agree with that. Matthew just didn't know. Christians today are completely aware of how this is mistranslated and they still perpetuate it. Why would they do this? How can that be? Because if they simply tell the truth then Matthew falls and with it the rest of Christianity. It's the same thing in Isaiah 7:14. There are volumes written to try and explain another mistranslation. Again, not Matthew doing it maliciously just out of ignorance. The church can't say it. So there are cottage industries trying to explain this stuff away. Anyway, back to my first question. Do you want the explanation or would you rather just be happy and pretend Jesus is God?
Thank you Rabbi, your words are words of life and wisdom. May HaShem bless you and bless the IDF in your battles.
, at least the prophets wrote their prophecy into text. From Jesus we have nothing from his own hand. Somehow he himself didn't thought his teachings where that important."
THANK YOU, Rabbi Singer!!! YES... this is the exact same point I have made innumerable times to Christians, as well. And, as always, I get two responses to this:
1. They attempt to claim Joseph supposedly adopted Jesus, for which there is no evidence (one verse saying others considered Jesus as Joseph's son is not proof of formal adoption), and that assumed adoption satisfied the patrilineal Davidic requirement for the Messiah, which is impossible given adoption doesn't grant any such (and, further, makes that key Messianic requirement virtually worthless given anyone could simply make the same claim); or
2. Luke's genealogy for Joseph is actually Mary's genealogy, which is not what Luke clearly says! And, most tellingly of all, violates the patrilineal Davidic requirement... and also the millennia-old tradition of making any royal claim conditional on patrilineal descent, not matrilineal. (The problem here for Judaism's claimed future Davidic Messiah is equally bleak given there haven't been patrilineal descendants of King David for at least 2,000 years ... and no amount of "tradition" can circumvent this historical fact.)
And specific to that last damning fact for Judaism, also... as the Messiah MUST be a patrilineal descendant of King David, you obviously can't be a patrilineal descendant of King David without a biological father who also is! And that means, that father CAN'T be God... and, obviously also, the mother CAN'T be a virgin!
Additionally, we have to add to this what I call the Christ Conundrum: Either Jesus was the literal begotten Son of God, in which case He couldn't have been a patrilineal descendant of King David... or else He was somehow the Davidic Messiah, in which case He couldn't have been the literal begotten Son of God. What Jesus could NOT have been... is BOTH!
Such a no brainer! And yet, Christians to this day still don't... or won't... see this!
Luckily, John and Mark did not write genealogies. Or else, Jesus would be having 4 different grandfathers.

Jesus' genealogy through Joseph is a topic of interest in biblical studies. The New Testament provides two genealogies for Jesus:
1. Matthew 1:1-17: This genealogy traces Jesus' lineage through Joseph, his legal father, and shows Jesus' descent from King David and Abraham.
2. Luke 3:23-38: This genealogy also traces Jesus' lineage through Joseph, but provides a different list of ancestors.
The genealogy in Matthew emphasizes Jesus' royal lineage, connecting him to King David and the Hebrew kings. This genealogy includes some notable figures like Solomon, Hezekiah, and Josiah.
However, it's important to note that Jesus' biological father is not Joseph, but the Holy Spirit, according to the New Testament (Matthew 1:20, Luke 1:35). So, Jesus' genealogy through Joseph is a legal or adoptive one, rather than a biological one.
The early Christian church saw Jesus' connection to King David and the Hebrew scriptures as crucial for understanding his identity as the Messiah. The genealogies in Matthew and Luke serve to establish Jesus' credentials as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies.

Zoroaster Created Judeo Christian Religions
The most insightful Jews of that time recognized the nature of the Roman Empire, understanding that its rule was grounded in extreme, utilitarian cruelty. They created a framework that provided refuge for traumatized and oppressed people, fostering a different kind of emotional development where empathy was more prominent. This framework focused on breaking cycles of violence by expanding Jewish religious principles into something accessible to everyone. In doing so, they laid the groundwork for more complex, interconnected societies by tempering the predatory instincts within human nature. The debates about the existence of God or Jesus, as well as the mystical aspects of faith, are ultimately irrelevant in this context."
Given this perspective, it's clear that the true significance of these developments lies not in theological debates or supernatural beliefs, but in the profound social and psychological impact they had on society. The focus on empathy, inclusivity, and the breaking of violent cycles contributed to the evolution of a more humane and interconnected world. This shift enabled people to transcend the brutal realities of their time, fostering a sense of community and cooperation that was essential for the development of more advanced civilizations.
In this light, the contributions of these early Jewish thinkers can be seen as foundational in shaping the ethical and moral frameworks that have guided human progress. Their efforts to create a more compassionate society, where the suffering of others is recognized and addressed, resonate far beyond the religious context. It is this legacy of empathy and moral evolution that holds lasting relevance, far more than any metaphysical or doctrinal disputes.

What can we ascertain from Luke and Matthew?
Joseph was Jesus' biological father, who is a descendant of David, thru either Solomon or Nathan.
But if we follow back the Luke genealogy, we find Jesus' lineage as '.....Seth, son of Adam, son of G-d'
So we can concede that Jesus is a son of G-d, thru his father Adam, the first man
"But what about Mary the Virgin?"
She was a Virgin Mother. As in, a Virgin Womb. As in, Jesus was her first born son of her virgin/maiden womb.
As the L-rd decreed in Leviticus, He chose the tribe of Levi to be His, but He does retain the right to all the first issue of the womb, First Borns, to make up for the Plague of the First Born.
And let's just touch on the prohibition of marrying an Egyptian. It's also prohibited that a Moabite will ever be excepted into the congregation, In Deuteronomy 23.
But that didn't stop Him from making an exception for Ruth.
I'd also point out that no where in Torah is it said that ones Jewishness comes from mom.
I've heard another Rabbi claim that Jewishness comes from ones belief in the 13 Principles of Faith.
But on the other hand, G-d told me that ones Jewishness comes from Him. So there is also that to consider. Like secular raised Baal Teshuvah.
We are also coming from the perspective that Moshiach ben David comes after Moshiach ben Josef.
Maybe we're wrong.
Maybe Moshiach ben David proceeds Mosiach ben Josef.
It's prohibited to marry an Egyptian, but we all know that the 13th Tribe, the Tribes of Josef exclusively retain Egyptian maternal descent, thru Asenath, daughter of the High Priest of On, Potifara.
The L-rd has a tendency of making exceptions to the rule.
Mary was not a literal Virgin. But the fetus of Jesus was conceived in her Virgin Womb.
This is my opinion, based on my conjecture of studying Torah under Rabbi Moses and Rabbi Jesus
Thank you for your explanation. I love listening to you, and enjoy your wisdom.
I am not a christian, (I was one for more than 40 years). I then started to read the Bible for myself, and studied it. Now i do believe in the Torah of Yahuah(YHWH) and the Renewed Covenant.
For me, i looked into many aspects of our Messiah and the prophecies of The Impalement of our Messiah Yahusha in Isa 53 and Ps 22. I believe there to be 191 fulfilled prophesies on the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Yahusha. There is evidence of a tremendous list of eye witnesses(1Cor 15) and His life and ministry. His miracles and even a list of History books of Jewish history and of NON Jewish History which mentions the life of a Jewish man which depicts our Messiah and His impalement.
Some of these prophesies done more than a 1 000 years before His life. Impossible to have been put in place by man to deceive mankind. How do you explain that away?
If you read the Renewed Covenant (not from a christian perspective) but from a Torah observant perspective, it does NOT contradict the Tanakh at all. On the contrary, it underscores the importance of Torah observance.
Rom 3:31 Do we then nullify the Torah through the belief? Let it not be! On the contrary, we establish the Torah.
The Torah will rule over us, all of our lives:
Rom 7:1 Or do you not know, brothers - for I speak to those knowing the Torah - that the Torah rules over a man as long as he lives?
For me it completes the Tanakh, because the Renewed Covenant fits like a hand in glove with the Tanakh.
I hope you will reply to my question.
Thank you and Shalom
Rabbi or any follower, please explain how the Servant in Isaiah 49:5 [read below] can be Israel if He [The Servant] is commissioned to bring Israel back to Him?...
Isaiah 49:5-6
5] And now the LORD speaks the one who formed me [Jesus] in my mother’s womb [Mary] to be his SERVANT, who commissioned me [Jesus] to bring Israel back to him. The LORD has honored me [Jesus], and my God has given me [Jesus] strength 6] He says, “You [Jesus] will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you [Jesus]a light to the Gentiles [Christian], and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”
Jesus in the Old Testament!!...
Come to your Messiah!!
According to the few quotes we have of The Ebionites , the original Hebrew Matthew and Luke which copied from it , didn't have the genealogies or the birth narrative . The Ebionites were the true followers of Yeshua , they obeyed His words and kept Torah but they didn't teach substitutionary atonement , it was His teachings that bring salvation , not His death on the cross , or the virgin birth or that Yeshua was Yeh Ho VaH The Father
JESUS IS GOD 👑✝️🕊️
😂😂😂😂🤡😂😂
Two things:
Firstly, Jesus came to prominence during age of Pisces and the sign opposite, balancing, was Virgo.
Secondly, Jesus celebrated as born at winter solstice would have been conceived at spring equinox (spring, thhe virgin). St. John's day is summer solstice and would thus have been conceived at fall equinox (woman past child bearing age).
These were subtext communications of the temporal solar cross as being the cross related to dying and resurrection of the light, and taking them as literal is a superstition that misleads.
All Israel shall be saved 🙏
From their enemies... look up the word save learn what it means in it'd proper context..
YT deletes messages. It happens to me all the time, sadly
“Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces and being called rabbi by others. But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves. “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’ You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that has made the gold sacred? And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gift that is on the altar, he is bound by his oath.’ You blind men! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred? So whoever swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and by him who dwells in it. And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who sits upon it. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel! “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness. So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous, saying, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ Thus you witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers. You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell? Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and persecute from town to town, so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. Truly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! See, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’””
Matthew 23 ESV
Amen! The Messiah God provided to Israel and the word had a virgin mother (Myriam, young woman of Nazareth, from King David lineage) ; the messiah of Tovia and the rebels had an ordinary one.
