The 31-year-old talks to Tommy about the journey from growing up in Great Barrier Island to representing Ireland on the world stage, his initial struggles having first arrived in Ireland and how he's grown under Andy Farrell.

To lose the first 2 in NZ and to have the steel to win the next 3 shows the metal of the current Irish team.
And they didn't just lose, they were absolutely outplayed and hammered.. only to then turn around and do exactly that to the opposition in the next 3 games

Relax, he's a humble man. He understands the challenge is immense. He's hardly going to expose himself and say, yes, we're going all the way. Little by little. I think the boys will do us proud.
I see it the other way. Leaving a slight pause can be a sign of confidence. I think it was a pretty badass answer, if not giddy and excited to get to work.
