Great review man! Very in depth and well put. I pick up my fz6 in two days time and this review makes me even more excited to be getting it. Ride safe and stay safe Bro!
@@paulyboy2311 No I didn’t buy this model but bought an older FZS600 Fazer which is just a good and is fitted with the Thundercat engine not the R6 engine and the gear box is much smoother 😊 I’m now selling it as I’ve got a Vstrom for touring but I will miss the performance 🙁
I owned a brand new FZ6 from 2005 until 2019 until i had to give up riding due to having a stroke. It killed me to sell my FZ6 but i was getting tempted to take it for a ride out. If i didn`t have the stroke i would still have it as it was brilliant bike for commuting and rides out.
Nice review. I am going to look at a 2004 FZ6 at the weekend and it is good to find some opinions about the bike. Sounds like a good all round commuter.
Own a 2005 one and pretty much agree withyour review , don't know if you still have it but you can do an exhaust mod pr the price of a big drill bit for extra noise and doesn't effect the fueling or anything
I sold the one in my pic still miss this bike I traveled up and down the country on it never failed me and she was quick fun and handled like a dream best bike ive owned to date
It doesn't exactly take brains to work out your bike's mpg! Got one of these, they do 52mpg, commuting, 56mpg touring, which us identical to the old 600 div. Btw they weigh 200kg wet, much less than a 600 bandit or cbf600
ridden bikes since 1977 owed one of these for nearly 2 years great bike for everyday riding to and from work and when required and given the right revs becomes an animal , two things I would say not a first big bike as to much power plus even though handles great and power delivery is plenty the dame clutch is its only real fault clunky and harsh , mpg when ridden hard 35/40 at 70 at just under 6000 revs on motorways average 62mpg which is great.
Fair review , but really it should be titled what you didnt like about the fazer. Was waiting for the things you liked but it was bye from you before we got there so .. i'll move on to another review
Amazing review compared to others I've viewed.. I've read about the pre-2007 models of the FZ6 have a little more torque. Which is what i'm planning to purchase pretty soon :) thanks for all the little tidbits on the video covered all the things i wanted to know I'll be keeping a eye out on your solo tour up in scotland. Subbed
They do between 50 -60 mpg, the average being 53. That's the same the same as the old Divvie despite having much, much more top end power. BTW heavy? It's a good 20kg lighter than the 600 bandit!
What kind of phone mount is that? I have a Yamaha FZ6 S2 2008, but I think it should be compatible with the same set you are using. About the cons you mentioned: I have a little adjustable extension on my windshield and it helps a lot for the wind. Alse the 2008 have analog rev indicator, you could propably install one of those for this older model. I know some people have done it because they prefer the never.
MrHooveri Hi mate thanks for the comment. The phone/GPS holder is just a Ebay jobby I have moved its position now tho it was getting in the way a little on the bars, so its up near the clocks now. If this was my main bike I maybe would change the dials over but its my work horse so it gets used in all weather so Im not goin to put money in to it unless I have to, other than service work that I do myself. Any chance you could send a link for the screen...cheers
Hi my last bike was a 78 Harley shovelhead 1200cc, I found it to have the right amount of torque for me, do you think I would fell a big difference going to the fz6? Thank you
Well I think maybe one supermoto is enough haha. My CCM is doing great. Got the leo vince evo 2 carbon on it. Souds awesome! The Polisport front mask is finally on it. And also got the daytona Odometer wired. Looking forward to make a vid. Wheelies are getting better too.
Perhaps a bit unfair to suggest it's not a weekend bike. Any bike is fun compared to all but the most exotic cars. And this humble commuter would murder most of them. Surely that's the idea?
I'm 1.86 m tall, will i look funny on Fazer 600? I mean, will the bike look like a toy compared to me? I won't look ridiculous and absurd with my height on it?
Using hazard warning lights for filtering is illegal Highway Code rule 116 says you must not use hazard warning lights while driving or being towed unless you are on a motorway or unrestricted dual carriageway and need to warn other drivers behind you of a hazard or obstruction. ahead
Just bought one of these last night,, less than 8000 miles on the clock,, in great nick,,, loved your review mate,, hope I love the ride.
An excellent review. Very organized, and helpful. Just bought a 2006 tonight ! Thanks.

You comment sounds more like a genuine review of what the bike is capable of doing.👍 He says not a bike for the twisties 😄Yeah right.

Nice review, everyone seems to be passing you are you going slow or are they in a rush?
You don't run mirrors ? !
