I read Pamela Nomvete's book (the greatest actress who was on Generations and currently on lock down). She says when she was down and out, all the big shot industry friends did not help. In fact she was helped by a petrol attendant most of the time because she became a regular at a particular petrol station as she was parking there regularly trying to sell her valuable possession (her car) to make end meets. So that petrol attendant used to buy her coffee at times and was assisting her in selling the car. The script is not that off where friends in high places are concerned. Rich people like other rich people most of the time. The minute one is down and out they are not part of the elite society. Zweli blackmailed Lindiwe with a recording, it was either risking going to jail or cutting her off financially so the black cards were probably surrendered.
