Thoughts on the pool table scene? I enjoyed it but it was not enough, definitely not as good as the authors hyped it out to be. Sometimes I think they're just playing us and giving us false hopes to bait us into watching the next episode. Don't get me wrong, I loved this scene and I'm glad that Beth and Rio finally shared an intimate moment, I just wish things would move a little faster.

This was meant to be the first episode of the new season, and it was promised to have some evolution, but indication of showrunners, writers and actors/actresses indicate that nothing serious and lasting can be between them. Is just not how the world works. Does not mean they not gonna get involved a bit, for awhile... The series bosses are aware that is the only thing keeping GG alive, for now....

Ok but prior to all this Rio probably never had a woman in his life like Beth and that what draws him to her. She wanted to continue to do jobs and hopefully she realizes she chose this he isn't the only criminal here now. Hopefully when she meets his family members and is exposed more to his world she develops a soft spot for him. And all this Beth hating on him will stop. He obviously wants to be around her and keep him in his world so I want them working together!

I think it won’t be so much meeting his family as it will be Beth snooping to get information on Rio. And getting caught spying on him with his mom or something. I think it’ll take Rio telling her how he became Rio and his real name. And it’ll take Beth betraying her latest scheme and admitting she wants him still. That this is the life she wants now. And possibly divorcing Dean. They’d need to be pushed to that extreme for both Beth and Rio to trust one another fully and maybe for the first time. Because then it would mean they both hold the others life in their hands.

Is just me who thinks Beth (Cristina Hendricks) never shows the same intensity of feelings? Is just Rio/Manny Montana pulling the fandom (and the series) in his back, she is just... there.
I don't think it's Christina's fault. Beth is dealing with the consequences of what she's done - she wants to get rid of Rio, to forget him and to be free again - and that's why she's always cold to him. I think Christina is just trying to show how messed up her character is right now.

After Beth got Rio arrested he challenged her to shoot him, and when se couldn't pull the trigger he shot Dean instead

Don't want to be that person but brio is done for. We had what we wanted in season 2 but they're relationship just evolved into what it is now and I don't see it coming back and making sense. Whatever we get is precisely to keep the people who only watch it for them watching.
The authors are teasing us but I still have faith, Beth and Rio are still into each other and I think it's possible for them to go back

Truthfully, a part of me wants Rio to just get rid of Beth. She's done so much shit to him and she is the biggest hypocrite on the show whose destroyed so many people's lives, does she care what she's done to Stan? How is on Rio that she conned Lucy into making that counterfeit plate? She wormed her way into the lives of Rhea and Marcus yet apparently felt no guilt of making the kid fatherless because she's been trying to do that all season and that Boss Bitch from season one and two, she's been replaced by a selfish, entitled, idiotic bitch who still believes she isn't a criminal. Turner was actually right about her, she hides behind her Suzy Homemaker image and believes that should allow her to get away with breaking the law. Also, until she kicks Dean to the curb once and for all, I don't think I will ever be able to fully respect her because her inability to stand up that asshole is all on her and has zero to do with Rio just like her decision to rob Fine and Frugal is on her not Rio.
You're right, she shot him and didn't feel guilty for making Marcus fatherless, but Rio shot Dean in S2 and that makes them even. I think Beth and Rio are both to blame, we must not forget that she shot him because he kidnapped her, she hadn't planned that.
@@autumnxleaves Rio didn't shoot Dean for the hell of it, that was the consequence of Beth trying to put him in prison. As for him kidnapping her, I honestly have no sympathy. All she does is say she can do this on her own, that Rio's solutions are not necessary like he carries a gun because he likes it and not because everyone he deals with is carrying one and he never knows if he's going to need to use it yet time and time again, Beth has insisted she can do this whole crime thing better than Rio even though she's been in it a few years and I'm guessing that Rio needed to do more to get his own operation yet she feels entitled bc she works hard, as if that actually matters and then when her solutions create even bigger problems, she resorts to actually asking Rio for his help then has a problem with how he does it and let's not forget this is the same woman who actually yelled at an FBI agent about how she did his job for him and he should be thanking her for it. And what's going to happen when her actions cause even more damage like when Ben finds out what his mother and Aunt have been up to the last few years? Annie is going to lose Ben probably for good plus if not for Annie, Ruby would be dead and I place more blame on the girls especially Beth for Lucy's death than Rio. So I simply don't see them as even since everything Rio does is precipitated by Beth doing something stupid.
@@ElvisRose_ You're right, but she got him arrested after he made her drive the empty truck and then told her they were over. It's a huge chain reaction, it's impossible to say who started it - and frankly, it doesn't even matter. It just has to stop cause we're all tired of this situation.
As for Lucy's death, I really can't blame the girls for that. They didn't know Rio was still alive when they asked her to design the counterfeit money, and it was Rio who kidnapped her (why does he always kidnap people?!), asked her to make another plate for him and then got rid of her.
