Maybe the type of Jpop I've heard just wasn't similar to Kpop, but most of Kpop groups' JP songs to me just sound like slightly different/lower quality Kpop in another language 😅. The only song released by a Kpop group that sounded like Jpop through and through to me was IZ*ONE's Suki to Iwasetai and a few (but not all) of their other JP releases (and Le Sserafim's Jewelry too).
Riku and Yushi’s vocal tone are very unique but Daeyoung would definitely fit in SM’s main vocal line. The talent for a month old trainee. SM’s hidden gem unleashed.

日本人からしてみると、KPOPが出す日本語ver.よりもNCTNEWTEAMの曲の方がしっかり日本語が聞こえて聞き取りやすいです。日本語ではなく韓国語に聞こえたという感想は興味深いです👍
