I honestly believe with the pitch as good as it was, Warwickshire were concerned Essex would pile them on and they’d have to deal with Harmer and critchley on a 4th day pitch. They made the right call, just messed it up!
Great run chase....but Warks were absolutely naive in not enforcing the follow on. If we have any ambition to haul Surrey back in we need to be so much better in the 1st innings
