correction most of yunos character development happened in this arc. We never had to see this guy physically and mentally struggle to keep pushing forward before, even when he fought Licht and Zagrid he had this composure to him that was still calm. Zenon shattered Yunos sense of reality, and made Yuno earn to have the right to be a rival in our eyes, to make us see that he isnt a mary sue character.

Albert is surprised to find out that Prince Yuno Grinberryall has Wind Magic. Why is he surprised? Because in chapter 309, we get the revelation that the Spade Royal Family possesses special magic attributes based on Celestial Bodies (Sun, Moon, Stars). That magic attribute ended up being star magic. I fail to see how that's an asspull.

Since Julius (the one who fought Patry) isn't beloved by mana, doesn't have spatial magic with mana zone, nor does he have greater mana amounts than 100% Zenon (a devil host who receives a portion of the mana of one of the 3 devil rulers) then Julius doesn't have any ways to bypass SMD. DH Zenon is an even bigger problem.
