Came up very pretty; but trying to figure out why you'd rinse off the lower levels, then the upper one? Wouldn't it make more sense to go from the upper level down? or no? 8:52
So uh.... where did you find the stain? Our home depot or lowes absolutely does not carry semi transparent mahogany for the past couple of years and that's why my decks have been.
stay away from Home Depot stains. They don't last. This is Penofin for Hardwoods Natural stain. It's not a mahogany stain. Parr Lumber carries it. This stain enhances the natural color of the wood instead of staining it. With that, if your deck gets a lot of sun it may turn gray within a year so you would need to clean, brighten and stain every year to maintain the color.
Hehe, funny, when pressure washing makes the surface darker. 😀 Unexpected. Stupid question: why do you need to pressure wash, when you sand it then anyway? Wouldn't sanding be enough? Also, can Mahogany easily be bought in the US? In Germany the import is regulated, I think. So, no one uses it anymore.
Not a stupid question. It is way easier to remove old stain by stripping it off with a stain remover and soft wash it than heavy sanding it off. I only lightly sanded the surface before staining to remove the fuzzy texture left behind from stripping the deck.
Gorgeous ❣️ Nice job Dan, takes time, but boy is it worth it.💙
That deck looked pretty good already but you made it look magnificent!
OMGosh! That whole process was amazing and the final result is stunning!!
👏👏👏💯💯👏👏👏
Beautiful job!
It looks beautiful 😊
Looks amazing
Wow, beautiful! Great job - 😊
I thought it looked fine--until you began pressure washing. Then it looked spectacular! Amazing before and after!

I sprayed the lower level first so I started washing that area off first. Doesn’t really matter as long as the entire deck gets well rinsed off.
@@dannysgreensurfacecleaning3638 Result was gorgeous. Thank you for clarifying 🙂
