First Lost Foam Casting: For the first time I would like to try to do a lost foam casting. as a first attempt I would like to try to sculpt a chess horse in polystyrene and then turn it into a small aluminum statue.

nice carving. i like the chess piece. the rough edges are from loose sand. vibrate it in and you will see a big difference. should bury around your pouring basin also. not fun when they tip over in my experience. cheers

That came out really nice, i don't even understand how it works, though't you'd need oil and something else for the sand to not crumble.
