Pete and Joe do back up vocals live, however in the sudio version other people sing in the background: Elvis Costello- "Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet" Gabe Saporta- "Where Is Your Boy?" Travis McCoy- "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" Brendon Urie- "Dance, Dance" Doug Numan- "This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race" Alex DeLeon- "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" William Beckett- "Growing Up"
Patrick co wrote the song with Pete about a friend of both of theirs. Trust me I looked at a shit ton of interviews. Pete even stated so himself. Fall Out Boy is may favorite band and have been for the last 6 or 7 years. I know them
They aren't retiring, they're going on a break. xD And it's about Pete and his friendship with Patrick. Live, he often introduces it like, "This song is about a friend who doesn't know how awesome they are," or something along the lines of that.
Dylan Barwick omg these comments from 6 years ago are killing me, lol, because they're still relevant but it reminds me of the times of the hiatus and its triggering lol
So they don't do the end part of the song live? With all the quotes and stuff from other songs.... Who usually does backup vocals anyway? Can Pete sing?
god i live in england and i already hate this show. whenever i see videos of good bands playing on it the vocals always sound shaky like they can't hear themselves properly. (granted he did pick up at the higher parts where it was easier to hear himself, second chorus was EPIC) plus the audience care more about getting 2 seconds on tv than actually enjoying the show. posers.
In this performance you can see a rarity. Andy is playing with his shirt on.
"see" are you sure about that?
But uhh he uhm doesn't have shoes onD:
3:01 Andy's proper going for it!
I'm pretty sure if the camera was shone on me, it would turn away really fast to keep the viewers from seeing my sobbing face
Who knows... life is long, maybe they'll get back together someday, I'll NEVER lose hope!
PeepHardy omg, I'm seeing the comments and it says from 5-6 years ago and it doesnt feel like its been that long ago, jesus. Time flies
Matthew :’)
They’re back
Damn 😭
oh boy do I have amazing news for you
this song is lowkey such a comfort song to me ☹️
Every time I hear this song it reminds me of why I fell in love with Fall Out Boy a couple of years ago
i know it was a folie single but this was a craaaaazy choice for the today show

That someday might be tomorrow, if the rumors are to be believed.

No, Fall Out Boy are not quitting. They are touring for a full year and then going into the studio and recording a double disc album.
This was incorrect lol. They indeed went on a 4 year hiatus

And Panic! at The Disco
Twenty one Pilots
My Chemical Romance
I miss this band !

@shoooeee1 They'll come back. They all just wanted a break from the norm. There will always be a Fall Out Boy. They're immortal.
@atolm1 Yes, he's got an amazing set of vocals on him. But unfortunately they are not around anymore
Dylan Barwick omg these comments from 6 years ago are killing me, lol, because they're still relevant but it reminds me of the times of the hiatus and its triggering lol
All the camcorders... man. Insane that smartphones taking over weren’t that long after this .
no they are back :D
I love the way you used "shitty" in the description
who on earth would dislike this? thats just stupid
thanks for this mic stand being really tall um
LOVEIT
@emmanueltumala15 That's not all Pete's fault bacause Patrick is recording his own album so I think Fall Out Bot won't come back :(
Nah, it's Patrick.
Pete said the song was written mainly to remind him of Patrick.
@andydbeats oh he is!!
you don't know that... they didn't break up or anything, they are just on hiatus.
Oh wow I didn't know that, how interesting. They should really get more credit then...
@oppositeofme1 I really love them and I want them to come back but nobody knows what's gonna happen with Fall Out Boy
Did you chase Corie kia when she was a kid
lolol I'm wearing almost the exact same thing Andy is right now.
So they don't do the end part of the song live? With all the quotes and stuff from other songs.... Who usually does backup vocals anyway? Can Pete sing?
That first girl that laughs as the camera points a her made me laugh my bollocks off.
Joe is the guitarrist! O.o
What do you mean quitting? O.o
They didn´t :)
It is about a friend of Pete's but is not about Patrick. It'sabout someone else
Andy is wearing sandals LOL
It's Pete's fault!!but hope that they will back again as a band.
whats with those fools in sailors outfit lol
2:57
Its like the audience is dead O.o
Dont really know this band but based on this song the lead singer has a great voice, very impressive. This crows sucks btw.
