THE REBOOT ME MUSIC VIDEO IS FINALLY HERE!!! I've probably been working on this animation/lyric video/original song for maybe a month or two now??? Hopefully it's worth it and you love it. I tried to sprinkle in a lot of detail in it. Like dates and times, specific programs and objects that give clues to some of the characters and their background. And even some foreshadowing????
This video was inspired by a mix of Hello World and Vocaloid. One day I might show some of the super early concepts, because it was verryyyy different when I started working on this!

So apparently, judging by dates. in 2001, the girl our main char is reffering to is 17, so it may be something where that girl had just gone off to college. Perhaps that is why she hasn't been in home so long, and has transferred into adulthood.

This is such an amazing idea, the concept of a simple desktop buddy that becomes sentient at some point prior to getting infected by a virus, the owner abandons the PC because it's infected by said virus, causing the desktop buddy to get lonely causing the desktop buddy to become even more unstable, and judging by the fact that close to the end when the virus makes its presence known to the watcher, one of the things it does is say everything is fine and making everything scary looking, it suggests that the desktop buddy has been taken over. I would love to see this get expanded upon later. 😊

What snake
Everyone has already touched on alot of the things that the video contains. However, I would like to bring everyones attention to one of the only file we dont see corrupted. Virulent.
Which translates too,
*virulent -- infectious; having the ability to cause disease*
could this be what corrupted Ele.OS to bug out. that caused Ally's computer to be virus infected? that caused Ele.OS to fall victim to her program no longer operating?
Another thing to point out is that the only other program that seems to be intact is the internet. Everything else has some sort of connection to photos and memories. I theorise that the virulent is actively trying to make sure that pictures aren't being able to be uploaded. That Ele.OS is unable to access them and fall accustomed to the life of others, because she has become sentinent? Or if not that-
I have another hunch that maybe the brother is up to this. He seems sort of distanced from the family, maybe there was some sort of rivalry? Maybe he wanted to rid of pictures and memories because he felt jealous. Maybe *HE* installed virulent. The entire program is named after something able to cause disease, and programs don't just show up on computers. Someone has to actively download them.
and as a final note.
we don't know of the brothers name, all we know of the brother is that he as a sibling of ally who owns the computer, and is a boy. so putting these two facts together, it would make sense to suggest he as a boys name?

We didn't see Virulent until "There's Nothing Wrong" gets sung so this means it can be like Proagent Something that disgues itself as something that protects you from viruses but is a Virus itself so it Probably got the turning point where it kicks off the Effect so basically Rubber Snakes Choke me Out and Slap my Cabbose

This is so creative and find to listen to. The part when she breaks down and keeps apologizing just hits so hard. She thinks the girl hates her, while in reality the computer is old and unneeded. Oh, poor Ele.
0:03 Notice the calendar. It says 2001, and the computer looks about right for that time period. Also, notice the camera next to the computer. This part of the video most likely shows the girl's bedroom from when she was thirteen. When the OS is singing, the girl has probably went off to college or even just got a different computer and had put that one away or something. Either way, I think this song has more story and I hope to find it all!

I was never like the other kids, when I was younger. While all the other kids played with transformers and my little ponies, I would play with Rubber snakes and toy trains. An odd combination. Nobody seemed to understand my obsession. Including my older brother, who would often bully me because I forced us to watch a bootleg version on Snakes on a Plane, Snakes on a Train. One day, I was outside, pretending I was conducting a train carrying a large shipment of exotic snakes to the local zoo. My brother saw me. He slapped my caboose, pushed me to the ground, and choked me out with a python. Luckily, my mother saw what was going on from the kitchen window, and came to my rescue. My brother was grounded for two weeks for fighting me. I've never been able to look at a rubber snake the same way again.

But like in all seriousness, this song was immediately added into my song playlist and I usually listen to it while studying so a humble thanks from a stressed out kid trying to get a scholarship. I'm guessing Ele was somehow corrupted, presumably from a virus (?) so the owner moved on to a different device instead. Ele wasn't aware of all this so they (it??) just assumed they weren't good enough. Even clinging to this false hope that *someday* their owner will come back and rƏBø0t them is... kinda sad, in a way.

This took place all in 2001. She was most likely around 16 17 by the time she went on that date. Obviously it’s been a while since she was online. So maybe in 2001 she was about.. 20 21? By this time, She had left the house and moved on by her own. The picture at the start is VERY darkened. So it must have collected dust or something. The Ele.OS program must have been very old as well. And due to old age, it was corrupted.
