I'm a 49ers fan so I'll say this with Purdy. I didn't see enough this year for 60 mil to be a number I'm comfortable with. Here's what I would do. Let him play his last year at the rookie number then franchise tag him 3x if need be until you are absolutely sure he's worth the long term deal. The rookie deal may end after 2025 but the 49ers can control the player until 2028. There is no rush.
That’s a great way to get your QB to hate you lol…they make him play for 900k next year he’s getting a deal somewhere else. Brock’s a nice humble guy sure he’s also recently married has personal responsibilities and a life. Football is dangerous and it isn’t forever look at his team this year he nearly got his neck snapped a game ago who is signing up to do that for just 900k for another year? Lamar had already made money Purdy has made less than Jake Moody
I'm old enough to remember a QB taken 199th overall, that if he had not taken over for Bledsoe, and won that Superbowl, would have been treated just like Brock Purdy -- and there were doubters back then too, until 3 out of 4 was in the bag. The kid can play.
I agree. I think the game against the Ravens last year really showed the disparity between a guy like Lamar and Purdy. Lamar time and again was able to make something out of nothing. Purdy is great in the Niners system with their incredible weapons, but he’s the ultimate example of a system QB. Once they start paying him north of $50 million/year, the Niners won’t have the cap flexibility to keep surrounding him with this crazy array of elite playmakers. I would be concerned that he can’t carry the offense while being paid top of the market QB money. It’s just expecting too much out of him and his limitations.
@@OneCommonTable comparing Brock Purdy to Tom Brady is offensive honestly. I’m not saying Purdy isn’t a good quarterback but he definitely is not and will not be great. Baker Mayfield is Purdy’s ceiling. The tape does not lie
The answer should have unequivocally been “smoke.” Jalen Hurts is AJ Brown’s child’s godfather. Anyone calling BG a LB and not knowing if the Eagles are 1 or 2 games back the Lions (it’s 1) is wholly unqualified to “report” on the situation, much less the nature of AJ and Jalen’s friendship, anyways.
Rich’s smirk at 8:03, then the subsequent camera cut & his mic being muted cuz he needs to laugh while Tom’s talking about how he whiffed on the Belicheck to UNC stuff has me rolling lol
Nothing better than Rich, Tom and co. great group...Brockman, TJ and want one more? all. Cheers!
Best guest in the history of guests.. 🏆🔥

@@binalip1669"just" 900k? You're doing better than me. But I think the point is you can get Purdy production for substantially less.
There’s no way I would even consider paying Purdy $60 million a year. Mayfield money is even high tbh
5 years $270 million with 225 million guaranteed. Pay the man or watch someone else do it.

Pay Purdy 35 Million per year. He is worth it. If he wants 50 and up let him walk
And the Niners start who at QB next year with an aging veteran roster?
No way in hell he or his agent will accept 35. Daniel Jones was paid 40 a year a few years ago... teams would line up to pay Purdy more than 35.

Ummm Tom playing down what AJ said and blaming it on graham? Come on man.
45-50 and Purdy will be a bargain in 2 years. Salary cap isn't going down anytime soon. And i believe it's going up $20 million next year alone.
Only in Philly? You must be joking. Not all big time receivers complain when they are winning, but it's definitely not only in Philly
3:28 why all the fluff? We all watched the game last night just answer the question 🤦♂️
