    I have watched two of your tutorials today and they are so beautiful and clear that I just can't wait to have a go at them. If only I had suitable yarn to start right away... Well, it'll have to wait till the morning so I can rush to the store and get some :-)
    Amazing work, thanks a lot. You make it look so easy. Please keep them coming. I've always been more of a knitter myself, but I think that if I keep watching your channel you'll turn me into a crochet person!

    I made this in several colors now and will make a few more and one as a birthday present for the end of the month. I like it so much and the yarn I'm using, it's Gründl Filo Blu Palma and at first I didn't think it would work with this yarn, but because my puff stitches never really look nice, this yarn is perfect because it adds extra texture and makes every puff stitch look a bit different anyway.
    And I added some "extras", my edges didn't look very neat, I think in part that's how I crochet and the rest is from the yarn, so I worked one round of single crochets all around and then, because it was hard to stop, lol, and I still had yarn left, I worked picots with single crochet, 3 chains, single crochet in the first chain, skip one single crochet from previous row, etc on 3 sides, not on the long side that goes around the neck. I needed almost exactly 100 g of yarn and I bought them for 1 Euro per 50 g. And then I added a few beads on this corner that is "hanging" down. Now it looks like something that I bought somewhere for 99.99, haha. Thank you for your videos, and this one in particular, it was a lot of fun making it and I can't wait to make a few more.

    Love this. Very easy to follow. One question though, you said in the beginning of the video, to make it wider, you just add 2 plus 4. I don't understand what that means. Can you explain?

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  7 років тому

      Sure! That is the multiple of the starting chain. To change the width, just ad 2+2+2+2+2 and so forth until you get the width you want, then add 4 more chains to the end of it. I hope that helps!

    Thanks for the awesome pattern, really enjoying it. Just had a question, when I made this for some reason the rows got slightly slanted, so when I finished I had a diamond instead of a square. I am playing with puff stitches again now for an infinity scarf and the same thing is happening! Any idea why?

    I've tried to attempt this cowl 3 times now. I don't consider myself much of an expert but I do crochet a lot. I can't seem to get even sides, even though my stitch count remains the same. The sides end up looking uneven and almost like a lace edge. Anyone have suggestions on what I could be doing wrong??

      Maybe try making the turning chain to start the double crochet rows 4 chains (3 to act as the first dc, and 1 for the chain between stitches), instead of 3. Maybe the too-short turning chain is making that side of the work tighter than the other.

  • @ginasheehan7157

    Hi Jennifer, I love this cowl. I have a question though, what would cause my cowl to come out crooked. it starts off straight for the first 5 rows, then it starts going wonky as I go higher. I wish I could post a picture to show you what I mean. It's frustrating me that I can't get it to go up straight :(
    Any help would be much appreciated ....

    • @GeliChocolate

      Maybe you skipped a few stitches at the end of each row. Took me a while to figure this out. Always make sure you're going into that very last stitch

      Hi Mary. You can actually turn on the cc captions. When the video is playing tap on it you’ll see 3 dots in a row like and “l” tap on that and select cc, it gives you the option of turning it on in English. I just tried it and it works.
