For the 3 people who didn't know this already, the number 65535 that appears occasionally isn't arbitrary, it is the maximum value for a 16-bit unsigned integer(so in hex 0xFFFF or in binary 1111111111111111). Why that number is used in a video about music, I have no clue, but it's kinda neat that it's not just a big random number.
I learned that number from reading the Minecraft bedrock edition distance effects (like when the coordinates go higher and higher and the game breaks down more at powers of 2)

@@bluedoggo483 well if you know his Transcendental études, the originals are called I think Grande Études d'exécution transcendante. They were even more hardcore - not nicer though. Liszt made some changes to them and out of pieces that are essentially just difficult to play now we have actually in many cases really wonderful tone poems at times predating impressionism (take Chasse Neige, the original was nowhere near as interesting and wonderful). That being said, of course, Liszt was able to play everything he composed, at least to my knowledge. Even when Balakirev's Islamey came out and was proclaimed the new most difficult piece ever, Liszt learned it (he was past his 60 at that point). Also if I'm not mistaken he was the first to publicly perform Beethoven's Hammerklavier sonata which was considered unplayable until it was played... by Liszt. Not necessarily Liszt-composer fan here, but Liszt - the man - was incredible.

I know literally nothing about classical music aside from 6 months of piano lessons when I was in 5th grade. But the kid who sat next to me in high school was OBSESSED with Mahler and would talk about his music from the moment I sat down to the moment I got up to leave. Eventually, I was like, “OK, I’ll bite” and I bought a concert DVD of Mahler conducted by a guy who was dying of cancer because apparently that was the best version according to the guy (I forget the name of the conductor, maybe someone here could fill me in?). I made it through about 20 minutes of the performance before I fell asleep, but the music was pretty good from what I remember. The last time I saw that kid was our high school grad night where we went to this rank, traveling carnival-esque theme park. I played a round of mini golf with him until he started picking up golf balls with his hands and throwing them over the fence while yelling. I walked away without saying goodbye. Anyway, great video!
