Hey could you please make a video explaining fate, or which order to watch? I haven't seen ANY of the fate series... and it's intimidating trying to get into it. Please oh great anime guru lead the way and guide me through this.
it's obviously VEEERRRRYYYYYYYY complicated, but having invested a lot of time in it myself, the easiest (subjective) way of entry is: fate/zero -> fate stay night: unlimited blade works (by ufotable, don't go for any other version) -> stay night: heaven's feel trilogy (not a sequel, but alternate route, since it's based off a visual novel) (the other stay night adaptation had the first route, but poor adaptation, so don't watch anything made studio deen) now you've completed the main storyline with a few conflicting watch order issues, but this is the easiest path. The rest is canon (?) spin-offs and whatever, but the easiest thing to get into now is apocrypha, which I really liked There's El-Melloi case files, which wasn't very important, and last encore set in the far, far future which was just 'eh' and also not important next is grand order (oh God), which just exists in its own bubble, but there's first order -> moonlight/lostroom -> [unadapted gap] -> camelot movies [wander -> paladin] -> babylonia -> final Solomon movie strange fake is also basically its own thing, but an important character dynamic duo is explained in babylonia that continues on here (yeah, it's a bloody mess) with its prologue out and the rest supposedly releasing next year. there's also the magical-girl spin-off opening yet another rabbit hole that I haven't gone down, but kind of (?) self-contained. If any questions remain, you can watch the videos made by gigguk
While i HIGHLY hope that nick will do a video about this topic, i know that he's relatively new to fate himself (as he got into it thanks to dmotta in the podcast) so i don't know how high the chance of him doing this video is, but i can give you a quick explanation (without any spoiler), (Warning, read this on pc, while it isn't complicated, this is still a LONG list), so: First of all, i have to say 3 things, fate isn't as long as you may think, while yes, it has A LOT of series, and a lot of that stuff isn't canon, Fate is mostly devided in 3 parts: "Fate zero/stay night" (and related stuff) which is the main and first thing you want to watch and it's the most complicated part of Fate orderwise. "Fate First/Grand order" here the order doesn't matter as much. and then the rest of the Fates, which are mostly not canon and you can watch them in pretty much any order. So you don't have to get yourself in a rabbit hole just to expierence fate, and you can pretty much decide when you feel like your done with the series. The second thing is that, the best way to expierence fate (specifically Fate zero/stay night) is by installing and reading some visual novels, watching fate only by the Anime is still possible, but you would be loosing a couple of things, luckly Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, which is the sequel of stay night (and is the only canon fate togheter with zero/stay night and grand order) and which was for a very long time visual novel only has been announced to get an anime adaptation in 2021, so you wouldn't miss on too much stuff compared to some time ago as it is most likely realising "soon", so even tho i'd consider the visual novels, you'll be fine only watching the anime The last thing that i want to say before getting into the order is, Fate has some unreleased works, and generally i don't know much about them and i'm not much cought up with the latest couple of years of fate, but i think that a beginner generally should care about those unreleased works, and i know that a lot of visual novels are getting either remakes (like the stay night visual novel which finally both got a remake and an official english translation), an anime or both! so if you can't find a visual novel, you can ask in the reddit/discord, but it is most likely getting a remake relatively soon, so, now that i've said everything let's get into the orders: if you're willing to read the visual novels: 1. Fate Stay Night: Realta Nua (getting a remake) 2. Fate Hollow Ataraxia (getting a remastered and i believe also an anime) 3. Fate Zero (The Light novel, not the anime) 4. Lord El-Melloi II Sei no Jikenbo: Rail Zeppelin Grace NoteZ (visual novel, not the anime) If you're not willing to read the visual novels: 1. Unlimited Blade Works (UFOtable, 2014, Prologue & Both Seasons) 2. Heaven's Feel (UFOtable, 2017-2021, they are a trilogy of films, watch them in order, they are numbered with I, II and III) 3. Fate Hollow Ataraxia (if the anime came out by the time you are here then you can most likely watch the anime, otherwise i still highly raccomend you to consider either the old visual novel or to wait for the remastared version of the visual novel) 4. Fate Zero (UFOtable, 2011 Both Seasons, some prefer to watch it before Unlimited Blade Works but i personally prefer this order, either way both spoil the other so none of the 2 is "better") (Optional) Fate/stay night (Deen, 2006, the animation hasn't aged too well and the story can be confusing so i usually don't raccomend it for new people, but hey, it's there) And this is Fate Stay Night/Atarixia/Zero, while watching/reading them you may notice that they share many things but they also seem to be a bit unrelated, that's because they are "3 different routes" of how the story could've went, and yes, they're all important in this order, anyways now that he complicated stuff is out of the way, let's go in Fate Grand Order So, this time i won't divide the Visual novel and the Anime because (unfortunatly) the Visual Novel is by far the best way to expierence the story here, as the anime didn't fully adapt the visual novel and straight up skipped some parts of it, you can still only watch the anime as the stories aren't really connected (you should still watch them in order), you'd just loose some parts, either way, Grand Order has 2 big story arcs, i'll mainly only talk about the first 1st one as the 2nd one basically isn't adapted, the 1st one is divided in 8 chapters (called singularities), i'll now list them and tell you the anime alternative if there is one : (here's a playlist of the game of the fate grand order game if you want to see every chapter without having to play it ua-cam.com/play/PLN42rbOIw8E9s8LbjF2BvAiD5RhX251Yn.html; ua-cam.com/play/PLN42rbOIw8E_-IICdtsKyEpk2UQkc4fug.html) 1. Prologue : First Order (Lay-duce, 2016) 1.5 1st singularity : Orleans ; 2nd singularity : Septem ;3rd singularity : Okeanos ;4th singularity : London and 5th singularity : E Pluribus Unum all don't have an anime adaptation 2. 6th singularity : Camelot/ Grand Order: Camelot (Signal.MD / Production IG, 2020-2022 these are 2 movies, the first one is pretty much way worse then anything else in the grand order series, but don't skip it, just remember that it will get much better from the second movie onwoards) 2.5 if you're anime only, watch Babylonia - Initium Iter, also called Babylonis episode 0, if you're playing/watching the visual novel you can watch this, but it isn't needed 3. 7th singularity : Babylonia/ Grand Order: Babylonia (Cloverworks, 2019) 4. Final singularity : Solomon/ Grand Order: Salamon (Cloverworks, 2022) here part one of Fate Grand Order finishes, there is no anime of part 1.5 and only the Background/Prequel of part 2 is animated ( Moonlight Lostroom (Lay-duce, 2017) so while you can watch it, you don't really need to do it to understand anything of Grand Order as part 1 is finished. Now that you've caught up with the Fate Stay Night/Zero/Ataraxia universe and with the Grand Order Universe You can watch whatever you want, the order doesn't really matter anymore, if you have more questions going trough old reddit posts or asking in reddit/discord can generally help you, but i'd just start with watching the Fate Stay Night/Zero/Ataraxia Universe and then deciding what to do once you finished that, i'll link below some sources that i've used to help me writing this, but my message is finished, Please feel free to ask me anything and i hope that i've cleared things up for you! www.reddit.com/r/Fate/comments/fukwby/a_simple_fate_watchread_order_guide_for_everyone/ (less complete and a bit more outdated then my list, but the stay night/zero part is pretty similiar) www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/nlcop1/guys_how_do_i_start_the_fate_series/gzhv0i7/?context=3 www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/damfhf/fategrand_order_babylonia_faqs_for_newcomers_and/

If I dove into explaining SNS my comment would be excessively long so in short: Insane fights, world building, character development, plot, a smidge cliche of a romance but well written at least, several great twists, and one of the most unique power systems in all of anime imo. Yona of the Dawn around number 5. Specifically because the anime ends on 24 episodes and it barely scratches the surface of the MC (Yona). If you include the manga, I’d place it at 4. I thought you would have mentioned Revolutionary Girl Utena, the original sword wielding lesbian. On its surface, it's a simple story of a girl trying to find the prince who gave her the will to live and a school where the student council fights for the power to change their world. But the deeper themes of the struggles of gender roles, identity, and love are seeded throughout the 39 episode runs. Each of the main cast are fully realized characters. The main antagonist is a huge jerk but still a great villain. The high schoolers deal with problems of sex, unfulfillment, and broken relationships with their peers. It's wonderfully honest within the narrative of Utena's journey to become a prince. Of course, it does deal with sex, especially with those on different levels of the power scale, incest, and the gross one of the main villain towards the MC but it does it in a way that highlights how awful it is Still, I highly recommend it, especially because it's one of the rare instances where the anime is better than the manga.
@@anuragdas4605Well, this Utena also good, and deals with a lot of themes)) But Op was talking about “Revolutionary Girl Utena” - the name of the anime
an anime i’d like to recommend to people is Dennoh Coil. it’s a female lead show that deals with the struggles of growing up while also having an entire universe dedicated to how digitization of the world could influence lives. It does an amazing job of a “what if” future where VR and AR has become a main technology
I can agree completely this time around for the number 1 spot. Frieren was a breath of fresh air to me and it's immediately placed itself among some of my all time favorite anime. Episode after episode I just kept wanting more. Is it a fantasy? Action? Slice of Life? Comedy? It ticks so many boxes and does it so well. The directing, music, animation, they really knocked it out of the park with this one
The irony of saying you despise the sexualization of minors in anime while highlighting “Darling in the Franxx” which is primarily about minors exploring sexuality is somewhat amusing (I do agree it’s an amazing show and deserves to be on this list… even though I just started it)
One of my favorite female lead animes that also ended up being one of my first is fairy tail. People commonly mistake natsu for being the mc but it’s Lucy. I love fairy tail despite the hate it gets.
this is one of those even if they say the MC is lucy because she narates natsu gets all the screen time and makes the big saves. if we considered this one it would disqualify some of the others here like darling and black lagoon
no, the main character is Natsu, you think Lucy is the main character only because the story told from her perspective. its not even the only example of this thing in anime. you don't even need to watch far away, the anime of the same autor before Fairy Tail - Rave Master, exactly the same thing, story told from Elie perspective, but Haru is the MC, Edens Zero after is the same again. and there are more...
Fate has some of the beefiest base boosted sound effects too. Haha, especially Fate Babylonia, some of the attack sounds will literally shatter speakers

Distant cousin" to the In_est-Stuff and thats the BEST of 'them', trust me. That's the best argument Anime can do Whatever cause it's Anime is bigbrained but better
@slevinchannel7589 I'm not arguing that it's not problematic or that the fan base isn't toxic. Not that I would know, but I can make the assumption that it is. This isn't a show I would ever recommend to anybody else, but I personally find the story and world interesting. And as a non-monogamous person myself, the polygamy doesn't bother me one bit. Just the same way that portrayals of monogamy don't bother me. It's not propaganda just because you don't personally agree with something.

I forgot everything u said about made in abyss so when I went to watch it all these months later I was not expecting the story to be so dark and depressing to the point I regret even starting it.
yea i know what you mean. legitimately one of my favorite anime and novels (the manga adaptation is less tue to the novels) but a certain scene in a stable almost had me put it down. all that came before was so good i felt very conflicted and had to come back to it. fortunately so far that has been the low point.
4:46 'the deeper you go the more pressure is felt' Not really true as due to the magic of the Abyss the pressure only applies to those going up. As long as you keep going down you don't feel a thing. I am a bit surprised and saddened that you do not have Bofuri in the list, or Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. Reborn to master the blade is also a fun watch. I'm in love with the villainess is hysterical as it throws otome games upside down. A better version of 'Darling in the franks' might be Simoun? It sort of the same premise, but without the plant reproduction naming and all girls who have to battle together to pilot their machines.
Finally, I found someone like me that actually likes the ending of darling in the franxx. You should go into more detail why you like the ending so much that would be a great video.
28:57 every anime is an art ,whether it is niche or mainstream ,whether you like it ,love it or hate it, it doesn't matter what you think of any anime ,it is still an art the amount of inferiority complex that anime watcher have is baffling to me ,it almost like they are ashamed of what they enjoy, or maybe they hate what they enjoy
disagree, completely disagree. we're living in a time when there are a bunch of books, movies, anime etc., that are not art by any means. or you trying to say some bullshit like most of so called "progressive" movies are art? or some second or even third grade isekai bullshit is an art? anime is a type of art, yes, but not every anime can be called a work of art, same as some child's drawings are not an art, even if drawing itself is a type of art.

I know Andy is the MC of S1, but I still say that Undead + Unluck should have been on this series, because how Fuuko becomes the MC afterwards. Claymore, because 'Ho, Dayum, violence.' Eureka SeveN falls under one of Nick's caveats of 'Male potagonist, female MC', and is a stunning series of love, growth, and coping with loss. It's also a Mecha anime. Heavenly Delusion, which he'd mentioned prior, is a fantastic story about a woman's body and how the mind within it grows to accept herself. While these wouldn't be Top Ten in his list, they still deserve honorable mentions.

@@Lloyd00 not if you count Sailor Moon Crystal and Ghost in the Shell Arise
@mobparker we're not. GiS stand alone complex sure. But it's OG sailor moon.
The sailor moon English dub hurts my soul completely, also if it isn't shojo nothing is
I’d put an honorable mention to Violet Evergarden and Apothecary Diaries
Hey could you please make a video explaining fate, or which order to watch? I haven't seen ANY of the fate series... and it's intimidating trying to get into it. Please oh great anime guru lead the way and guide me through this.
it's obviously VEEERRRRYYYYYYYY complicated, but having invested a lot of time in it myself, the easiest (subjective) way of entry is:
fate/zero -> fate stay night: unlimited blade works (by ufotable, don't go for any other version) -> stay night: heaven's feel trilogy (not a sequel, but alternate route, since it's based off a visual novel)
(the other stay night adaptation had the first route, but poor adaptation, so don't watch anything made studio deen) now you've completed the main storyline with a few conflicting watch order issues, but this is the easiest path.
The rest is canon (?) spin-offs and whatever, but the easiest thing to get into now is apocrypha, which I really liked
There's El-Melloi case files, which wasn't very important, and last encore set in the far, far future which was just 'eh' and also not important
next is grand order (oh God), which just exists in its own bubble, but there's first order -> moonlight/lostroom -> [unadapted gap] -> camelot movies [wander -> paladin] -> babylonia -> final Solomon movie
strange fake is also basically its own thing, but an important character dynamic duo is explained in babylonia that continues on here (yeah, it's a bloody mess) with its prologue out and the rest supposedly releasing next year.
there's also the magical-girl spin-off opening yet another rabbit hole that I haven't gone down, but kind of (?) self-contained.
If any questions remain, you can watch the videos made by gigguk
While i HIGHLY hope that nick will do a video about this topic, i know that he's relatively new to fate himself (as he got into it thanks to dmotta in the podcast) so i don't know how high the chance of him doing this video is, but i can give you a quick explanation (without any spoiler), (Warning, read this on pc, while it isn't complicated, this is still a LONG list), so:
First of all, i have to say 3 things, fate isn't as long as you may think, while yes, it has A LOT of series, and a lot of that stuff isn't canon, Fate is mostly devided in 3 parts:
"Fate zero/stay night" (and related stuff) which is the main and first thing you want to watch and it's the most complicated part of Fate orderwise.
The second thing is that, the best way to expierence fate (specifically Fate zero/stay night) is by installing and reading some visual novels, watching fate only by the Anime is still possible, but you would be loosing a couple of things, luckly Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, which is the sequel of stay night (and is the only canon fate togheter with zero/stay night and grand order) and which was for a very long time visual novel only has been announced to get an anime adaptation in 2021, so you wouldn't miss on too much stuff compared to some time ago as it is most likely realising "soon", so even tho i'd consider the visual novels, you'll be fine only watching the anime
The last thing that i want to say before getting into the order is, Fate has some unreleased works, and generally i don't know much about them and i'm not much cought up with the latest couple of years of fate, but i think that a beginner generally should care about those unreleased works, and i know that a lot of visual novels are getting either remakes (like the stay night visual novel which finally both got a remake and an official english translation), an anime or both! so if you can't find a visual novel, you can ask in the reddit/discord, but it is most likely getting a remake relatively soon, so, now that i've said everything let's get into the orders:
if you're willing to read the visual novels:
1. Fate Stay Night: Realta Nua (getting a remake)
2. Fate Hollow Ataraxia (getting a remastered and i believe also an anime)
3. Fate Zero (The Light novel, not the anime)
4. Lord El-Melloi II Sei no Jikenbo: Rail Zeppelin Grace NoteZ (visual novel, not the anime)
If you're not willing to read the visual novels:
1. Unlimited Blade Works (UFOtable, 2014, Prologue & Both Seasons)
2. Heaven's Feel (UFOtable, 2017-2021, they are a trilogy of films, watch them in order, they are numbered with I, II and III)
3. Fate Hollow Ataraxia (if the anime came out by the time you are here then you can most likely watch the anime, otherwise i still highly raccomend you to consider either the old visual novel or to wait for the remastared version of the visual novel)
4. Fate Zero (UFOtable, 2011 Both Seasons, some prefer to watch it before Unlimited Blade Works but i personally prefer this order, either way both spoil the other so none of the 2 is "better")
(Optional) Fate/stay night (Deen, 2006, the animation hasn't aged too well and the story can be confusing so i usually don't raccomend it for new people, but hey, it's there)
And this is Fate Stay Night/Atarixia/Zero, while watching/reading them you may notice that they share many things but they also seem to be a bit unrelated, that's because they are "3 different routes" of how the story could've went, and yes, they're all important in this order, anyways now that he complicated stuff is out of the way, let's go in Fate Grand Order
So, this time i won't divide the Visual novel and the Anime because (unfortunatly) the Visual Novel is by far the best way to expierence the story here, as the anime didn't fully adapt the visual novel and straight up skipped some parts of it, you can still only watch the anime as the stories aren't really connected (you should still watch them in order), you'd just loose some parts, either way, Grand Order has 2 big story arcs, i'll mainly only talk about the first 1st one as the 2nd one basically isn't adapted, the 1st one is divided in 8 chapters (called singularities), i'll now list them and tell you the anime alternative if there is one :
(here's a playlist of the game of the fate grand order game if you want to see every chapter without having to play it ua-cam.com/play/PLN42rbOIw8E9s8LbjF2BvAiD5RhX251Yn.html; ua-cam.com/play/PLN42rbOIw8E_-IICdtsKyEpk2UQkc4fug.html)
1. Prologue : First Order (Lay-duce, 2016)
1.5 1st singularity : Orleans ; 2nd singularity : Septem ;3rd singularity : Okeanos ;4th singularity : London and 5th singularity : E Pluribus Unum all don't have an anime adaptation
2. 6th singularity : Camelot/ Grand Order: Camelot (Signal.MD / Production IG, 2020-2022 these are 2 movies, the first one is pretty much way worse then anything else in the grand order series, but don't skip it, just remember that it will get much better from the second movie onwoards)
2.5 if you're anime only, watch Babylonia - Initium Iter, also called Babylonis episode 0, if you're playing/watching the visual novel you can watch this, but it isn't needed
3. 7th singularity : Babylonia/ Grand Order: Babylonia (Cloverworks, 2019)
4. Final singularity : Solomon/ Grand Order: Salamon (Cloverworks, 2022)
here part one of Fate Grand Order finishes, there is no anime of part 1.5 and only the Background/Prequel of part 2 is animated ( Moonlight Lostroom (Lay-duce, 2017) so while you can watch it, you don't really need to do it to understand anything of Grand Order as part 1 is finished.

Honorable mention for kagura from gintama

What about Violet Evergarden??
Frieren is absolutely beautiful. I'm a hype beast so idk how to explain it but its just a story of good vibes and amazing story telling.

Nick going insane over explaining the Fate continuity is something I didn't know I needed until today
The anime Nana got me into shoujo anime and the romance genre in general
Nick made this video just to talk about frieren, and I'm here for it 😅
Apothecary Diaries should definitely be up there. Maomao is amazing. I love Maomao so much. And a lot of the cast is female and just as well written
I just clicked on the video and there’s no Mao Mao??? Unforgivable
literally obsessed i need the next season yesterday with an announcement that the 4th is coming out tomorrow.
I just wanted to say: Frieran Is the goat. If it doesn’t win a crunchy roll award this year, I’m going on a killing spree.
Imo Pluto deserves it but Frieren losing would be an upset. Especially if Demonslayer wins best fantasy again 😂
Its gonna be Demon slayer or JJK again. Crunchy role is used by edgy teenagers 😂
WONDER EGG PRIORITY APPRECIATION GANG!! 🥚 My fave animes are seemingly cute ones that end up being dark, like Wonder Egg, Made In Abyss, and Madoka Magica. Would love to see Nick talk more about these animes
Obviously, it's subjective, but how you gonna leave out Fruits Basket, Spirited Away, Violet Evergarden, Bocchi the Rock, Ghost in the Shell,
I agree with the list but I would add Shakugan No Shana at number 2 though I wouldn’t argue if some still wanted Madoka to take 2nd.
Frieren stays in 1st though lol
THANK YOU! Shana always gets forgotten. It needs more love. Like, way more.
@@CloudWeissBuster she is THE tsundere, there very few portrayals of the trope before SNS though Daikuuji Ayu is the technical first use of the term SNS popularized it, so I feel she needs to exist at least ON the list if not near the top lol
When a tier list with eminemce in the shadows or a silent voice in it? I rlly like those anime (fillm) but never see em on tierlists.
scrolled to the end just to make sure you made frieren #1 now i can go back and watch the whole video in peace
- Violet Evergarden
- Mumei from Kabaneri of the Fortress
- Lucy from Elfen Lied
- Motoko from Ghost In Shell
** I’ll always have a soft spot in my feels for Erza (her 1 v 100 episode was just glorious)
And I agree with your 2 top tier selections, but have one more - it’s brutal though, on par with Made in Abyss: Casshern Sins (male MC)
i love your list i will get to them at some point and yes i made a note of them to make sure
21:21 the kingdom hearts effect, making everything 100% Canon 💀
Ain’t that the truth 😂
Ah Fate... Fun series lmao
Ill say an honorable mention should be the MC oc Apothecary Diaries and Acendent of a Bookworm.
I will say Bookwork is definitely waiting for its season 3 and beyond to be magede to go ham
Video idea which character had the most power handed to them
For example naruto was the reincarnation if god, had kurama, and was the son of Minato and kushina.
Ichigo from bleach was the ideal mix of all races
And Luffy, got his insanely OP powers cuz he randomly ate a fruit.
(no isakai characters because this would be a list of just them otherwise.)
Except Ichigo didn't have anything handed to him

this is a great idea do more of this with your favorite anime and manga please

Of course, it does deal with sex, especially with those on different levels of the power scale, incest, and the gross one of the main villain towards the MC but it does it in a way that highlights how awful it is
Still, I highly recommend it, especially because it's one of the rare instances where the anime is better than the manga.
I thought you talk about Utena from Gushing over magical girls 🙂, btw what's the name of the series?
@@anuragdas4605Well, this Utena also good, and deals with a lot of themes))
But Op was talking about “Revolutionary Girl Utena” - the name of the anime
Missing Balsa from Moribito
💯
Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song?????!!!!
That one makes me cry from how beautiful it is whenever I remember it. It's just so good.
Yes! I subscribed cuz you were right about number 1
You should have added maimai from apothecary diaries.
Frieren is just cool because of her experience. The best female protagonist is Mao Mao of The Apothecary diaries
Claymore would be my second choice and aezra on the 3rd.. If u want an OG to fill this. Card Captor Sakura and Kagome should be in this list.
Black Lagoon is fucking GOATED
an anime i’d like to recommend to people is Dennoh Coil. it’s a female lead show that deals with the struggles of growing up while also having an entire universe dedicated to how digitization of the world could influence lives. It does an amazing job of a “what if” future where VR and AR has become a main technology
i know youtube says this video is a 10/10 but i’ll watch anything you create keep it up man :)
Motoko Kusanagi should of made this list
I can agree completely this time around for the number 1 spot. Frieren was a breath of fresh air to me and it's immediately placed itself among some of my all time favorite anime. Episode after episode I just kept wanting more. Is it a fantasy? Action? Slice of Life? Comedy? It ticks so many boxes and does it so well. The directing, music, animation, they really knocked it out of the park with this one
Top 3 for Myself:
1. Fuuko Izumo
2. Akane Tsunemori
3. Yumeko Jabami
The irony of saying you despise the sexualization of minors in anime while highlighting “Darling in the Franxx” which is primarily about minors exploring sexuality is somewhat amusing (I do agree it’s an amazing show and deserves to be on this list… even though I just started it)
Apothecary Diaries is also S Tier. Please Nick watch it Daphne I hope both of you like it.
That fate bit was amazing
Nick!!!!!! please do the top horror/dark anime
Damn. No jojo stone ocean. 😢
Edit:I just remembered nick didn't finish the Jojo anime
Jolyne is my most favourite Jojo in JJBA
@@anuragdas4605 you're probably the only person saying that....
Nick: "Sexualization of minors is bad."
Also Nick: "My first recommendation is Made in Abyss." 😂
@slevinchannel7589 I only report pro-israeli news propaganda from my national news networks. Otherwise, it's just anime preferences. And I like Made in Abyss, as well as Mushoku Tensei for the record. Just thought it was a funny transition.
@@VeiledFlameAlchemist Yeah, but MK is pretty damn pathetic and this is not about ''''Taste''''. It's a problem anime times 10; very tellign about yuor awareness-level that you cant see that.
Genuinly a outrightdisgusting anime and the fans are usually cirngelords. Its one of the most toic fanbases i have ever seen or heard of. When the toxic season-finale, an absolute bizzare Episode, came out a while back, everyone literally tried to surpass each other trying to be cringe.
I wish-back the times where people were such losers to be tolerant of this anime that they replied to "MC impregnates... his Cousin... wtf... how can you exccuse this with its-an-anime-so-whatever-no-consequences-hoho" with "DISTANT" Distant cousin!"
The iteral Polygamy-Propaganda - and yeah, at-least if a Strawman is literally set-up-to-Fail i start calling it legit Propaganda - things just get real-life-harmfullll.
Long comment is too long but yeah, i try to explain to someone who will probably not listen that this anime is abnormal and it matters. No apollogist has ever even managed to produce a sigle coherent-wiht-Logic OR coherent-with-Reality argument: against, we have losers say "DISTANT! Distant cousin" to the In_est-Stuff and thats the BEST of 'them', trust me. That's the best argument
Anime can do Whatever cause it's Anime is bigbrained but better
@slevinchannel7589 I'm not arguing that it's not problematic or that the fan base isn't toxic. Not that I would know, but I can make the assumption that it is. This isn't a show I would ever recommend to anybody else, but I personally find the story and world interesting. And as a non-monogamous person myself, the polygamy doesn't bother me one bit. Just the same way that portrayals of monogamy don't bother me. It's not propaganda just because you don't personally agree with something.
I mean, the anime's not *that* bad
Anime's actually pretty chill with it
Even tho it may be very much different from the other animes mentioned, i think that Kaguya sama love is war would also have been a PERFECT addition to this (already great) list, Great video eitherway! It was probably my favourite video of yours in a good while
Bro forgot apothecary diaries
Man, I've been waiting for hours for this video
MaoMao from The Apothecary Diaries deserves to be in this top 10
I did not expect to see made in abyss on this list (most people i talk to hate it). I love that it made the list.
I forgot everything u said about made in abyss so when I went to watch it all these months later I was not expecting the story to be so dark and depressing to the point I regret even starting it.
You should do a Fate timeline video bro
Nick, great list… but PLEASE watch The Ancient Magus’ Bride. It will for sure push one off this list
Now we need a full Fate breakdown video

You didn’t even finish it bro
if you like female-lead isekai about helping people and making good food I recommend kuma kuma kuma bear and saving 80000 gold for retirement
oh my god you mentioned made in abyss i cant believe you mentioned it. i thought that you wouldn't even know of it since it is not that popular
bro i love mushoku tensia but i can NEVER recommend.
yea i know what you mean. legitimately one of my favorite anime and novels (the manga adaptation is less tue to the novels) but a certain scene in a stable almost had me put it down. all that came before was so good i felt very conflicted and had to come back to it. fortunately so far that has been the low point.
I love MT and I always recommend… ❤
4:46 'the deeper you go the more pressure is felt' Not really true as due to the magic of the Abyss the pressure only applies to those going up. As long as you keep going down you don't feel a thing.
I am a bit surprised and saddened that you do not have Bofuri in the list, or Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. Reborn to master the blade is also a fun watch. I'm in love with the villainess is hysterical as it throws otome games upside down. A better version of 'Darling in the franks' might be Simoun? It sort of the same premise, but without the plant reproduction naming and all girls who have to battle together to pilot their machines.
where Apothecary Diaries at, My goat Maomao needs to be at the top
havent watched the video yet but not including Apothecary Diaries in this video is heresy honestly
The Apothecary diaries and Frieren : beyond journey's end is my Favourite anime of 2024, Maomao and Frieren are Goated female mc

28:57 every anime is an art ,whether it is niche or mainstream ,whether you like it ,love it or hate it, it doesn't matter what you think of any anime ,it is still an art
the amount of inferiority complex that anime watcher have is baffling to me ,it almost like they are ashamed of what they enjoy, or maybe they hate what they enjoy
Exactly!
disagree, completely disagree. we're living in a time when there are a bunch of books, movies, anime etc., that are not art by any means. or you trying to say some bullshit like most of so called "progressive" movies are art? or some second or even third grade isekai bullshit is an art? anime is a type of art, yes, but not every anime can be called a work of art, same as some child's drawings are not an art, even if drawing itself is a type of art.

Claymore, because 'Ho, Dayum, violence.'
Eureka SeveN falls under one of Nick's caveats of 'Male potagonist, female MC', and is a stunning series of love, growth, and coping with loss. It's also a Mecha anime.
Heavenly Delusion, which he'd mentioned prior, is a fantastic story about a woman's body and how the mind within it grows to accept herself.
