Sorry for the dodgy end screen on this video! Not sure how that crept through but I'll get it sorted for the next video!

Thank you for sharing. I'm on the verge of introducing a new procedure for how attendees register for training courses, and I believe this could be an ideal solution.

There is nothing I hate more than writing the user guide articles for our tool's knowledge base. So much so, that I have completely put it off. I tried Scribe and Tango, but I really love that this gives both the image captures for each step AND the video. Your explanation was actually much better than what they had on their own platform! Thank you so much!

Seems great, I was expecting a video in the end though not a narrated slide show, thought it would actually record your screen and chop the video automatically, instead it's probably taking an initial screenshot and then a screenshot every time you click on something in the page or an event listener is triggered, which is cool but not ground breakingly amazing.
Also without even looking further since it's only an extension it probably works only in the browser thus limiting the instructions you can do with it, which covers a lot of stuff but not everything.
If it has a feature to do the ai voice-over in other languages and bulk export in to them and generate pdf instructions in to multiple languages it would be pretty great! I will test it out.

This is certainly true. It's a tool, not a replacement for many others. It certainly isn't a replacement for simulation recordings or anything like that.
But I find that the vast majority of platforms I create guides for are browser-based and that simple PDFs are vastly more popular than videos because most employees don't have time and just want to follow the steps.
As always, context is key, I'm sure there are plenty of places this tool would be useless, in the same way that I would never recommend After Effects to 99% of organisations for animation work.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, fingers crossed on the bulk export for multiple languages, that would be a cool addition!

@@InstructionalDesignTips I agree generally, I'm not speaking about after effects video but more like camtasia style, quick how to tuotiral and you're right pdf and powerpoint are king in corporations but what I like to do is add a video in the communication specficially or a gif, so when I send an email i attach the guide for reference in ppt or pdf but to gain their attention i also add a video link in an image thumbnail or in another way so it's a bit more interactive.

Yeah, to clarify I wasn't suggesting the use of AE for this job, just the need to match the tool to the user needs.
I am not a Camtasia fan, but will recommend it if it best suits the user. All about context, if I was working with a user based that said we want a video or gif, then I'd make them, if not, then I won't. Taking a product based approach.

Great video as always. I could see myself using this for how-to videos just to avoid the tedious setup of on-screen shapes, text, animations, etc. Then finish it off in another video editor.

Great shout. That workflow could mitigate limitations and still cut down on time.

Thanks for watching. I have to agree that right now, I always prefer a human voiceover. The only time I reach for an AI vo is when there is no time/ budget.

@@InstructionalDesignTips My pleasure, and you're spot on. And someone smarter than me recently said "While AI voices may "sound" good, they all lack a human soul." And ultimately, we do connect much better by talking with or listening to humans. Cheers!
