What is known about the history of Valentine’s Day is really not clear at all. But that hasn’t stopped many from wild speculation and even fomenting false notions and fears. Some say that if you do Valentine's Day your falling onto a Satanic deception called Lupercalia.

My husband and I exchange love cards and sentiments on this day, and we keep in mind that Jesus is the center of our marriage and the song of Solomon that is so full of love. We do not connect it to anything that man made. Everybody who reads this comment and the comments must remember that it is your heart that God sees. Brad‘s heart is for love to his wife.

We can justify anything we want to by the worlds standards, especially the worlds holidays, even though God says not to do as the pagans.
Valentine’s Day is self seeking love and idolatry.

@@ArmorofTruth because it’s a perverted version of True love that comes from God. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 1 Cor 13: 1-13
Even if we put aside all the speculation and superstition, it doesn't say anything in the bible about the observance of Valentine's Day as a holy day(holiday), so that makes it nothing but a ritual ceremony, so is that a good thing? Is it right for us to put our energy into such rituals? Who does it serve really? Surely the wicked people that rule this world wouldn't work so hard to keep these traditions alive if they were good. Jmo
The point is this: if we’re spending our time and energy worrying about pagan rituals, we’re becoming a law unto ourselves. It’s a good idea to understand the concept of Christian freedom. There are no symbols, flowers, or days that do not belong to God. When we assign more and more power to the devil, he gladly takes it. We live in a society among various cultures. The same symbol, the same holiday often had very different interpretations from one to the other. It is true that we should “abstain from all appearance of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22) but that doesn’t mean we must become slaves to the perceptions of others. That verse, in context, had in view actually practicing evil. So, if one makes a habit of murder and fornication every Valentines Day. That would be evil. Don’t do that.
We’re surrounded by Roman symbols, words, names and customs. Our legal system is patently Roman. It’s not evil. There are some evil people, but the thing itself is not evil.
The name Daniel means “God is my judge” and Daniel glorified God while living among the Babylonians, holding a very high political office, wearing the customary clothing, and attending many of the cultural special occasions. Was Daniel guilty of blasphemy for taking part in such things?
The Bible says nothing about birthdays or the 4th of July. Those are not evil rituals. Halloween sis a different deal. That’s a holiday that is unambiguously connected to evil and a celebration of darkness.
But we can’t let ourselves to get spooked by the word “ritual.”
The word simply means custom or routine. That’s generally what religion means as well. What we must do is abstain from DOING evil, abstain from placing ourselves in circumstances where sin is committed openly.
About symbols: Keep this in mind. Until about the 3rd century AD, the cross was symbol of humiliation and was despised by all. But as the church grew throughout the world, the symbol of the cross, the empty cross, came to represent Jesus Christ’s perfect sacrifice, victory over death, and looks forward to the blessed hope of His soon return. But it’s still just a symbol with no power to save or damn.
When we fall into fear of so many symbols and ancient customs were flirting with falling back under the yoke of the law.
Jesus declared, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30

Do you think keeping the traditions of man, and not observing the feasts of The Lord as God told us to keep is harmless? How did balem get the israelites to curse themselves?.. i appreciate your content most of the time, but you are dead set on keeping the traditions of men and not the Holy days of God as He set forth for our good. I cant share or encourage others to watch your content anymore. I pray you and yours continue your serch and love of The Truth, and seek to honor Him in His way. He is not gorified by the worlds ways. God bless yall and may we all kill our idols and continue to grow in YHWH.
