Thanks for reacting to this performance. The band played a prank on Gigi, and made those multiple key changes to throw her off. This was part of a 3-hour livestream that this band did, where they perform songs that fans would request, play a set list, do covers, poke fun at each other. The band was trying to prank her by changing up the chords to see how far she would go. But she won’t easily give up. They were just having fun. She’s an amazing singer.
LOL the band WAS trolling her 😂 they threw her off with the several unexpected key changes, but she caught on with the prank and continued like a pro. You could even see the band planning all this behind her back

It's a challenge, it's like the hook of the song but everytime you sing it, the note gets higher. I remember the band prank her by raising the key than the expected one but she still manage to nail the song. She's so good!
That was hilarious. I like that you were able to tell from the beginning that it was the chorus being sung. For some reason it takes a while for other reactors to get that.

I read somewhere that during this livestream session the song was requested by one of the viewers. She was not prepared to sing the full song so to make it up she sang the chorus instead. And then her bandmates decided to prank her on the spot.
TRIVIA
When this song originally became a hit (by Roselle Nava -' in the 90s?) many refered to it as the "crazy martyr" song.
When her bandmates jokingly say "Great singer" they are possibly refering to the funny scoring in Karaoke system achieved by belting controllablly.
Her bandmates said "pranking her is scary!"

It's good that you understood the context of the video, unlike other reactors who only focused on the technicalities, that she's flat sometimes, and missed that they are pranking her and having fun.
