Had these headphones for about a week. Like them, good sound, controls are nice. A week in the right headphone stopped pairing. I went through these instructions about 15 times with no luck. Desperate to not have wasted $40 (on sale at Costco) I tried another 5 times and finally got it to work. Nothing different about the 20th attempt it just finally worked.
I've tried to duplicate the issues reported and will say if you're having issues after following the instructions to the letter and have confirmed using another phone, you may have a defective bud. Make sure they pair to one another before pairing to your phone, as per the instructions. There are several different sets of instructions I've experimented with and several phones, always if I remove the paired device from the pairing list and reset both earbuds, they haven't failed to pair. The evos pair slightly differently than the anc, there's one set of instructions mentioning a "purple" (blue&red led both simultaneously) that factory resets the complete earbud.

Took me half an hour to sync them together ,my back hurts but atleast they are in sync now🤣🤣 TIP: Have patience and let them sync to each other before you start pairing them with your device🙃
Put them in case,close it, count till five, remove the buds ,long press each one of them untill they start turning red and blue and ultimately turn red stop. Put them in the case again, take them out and let them sync to each other, sometimes take 30 seconds. After that try pairing it with your ph All the best :p
I never leave reviews and I have been totally frustrated with these earbuds and only got them to sync to music and not phone calls after watching so many WRONG videos on You Tube trying to teach me how to sync these. THIS VIDEO WORKS IF YOU HAVE INDY EVO!!! You are The Man Sir. Thank you.
thank do this worked!! The ear buds kept coming up separately- like solo mode was always on and stereo never wanted to work. but i just turned them off and followed this video. I had to do it maybe 3 times, but finally got them working back in stereo mode! ^_^
Hii , Just wanted to Know before i Buy them . Is there a type C port provided on the Case and Type C Cable too . As it's a wireless version ..They Will be providing Type C charging Option too , Right ?
Remove them from your Bluetooth list and turn them off, Put them in case, then take them both out and put them in your ears, wait for them to pair, Then select them and connect. I tried probably 60 times soooo frustrating
@The Undead Knight 1- put them in the case while on. 2-turn off Bluetooth on device. 3-pull 1 out , press and hold x 6 seconds, the light will turn off. . Do the same for the second one. 4-press and hold the 1st one x 10 seconds, until the light goes off. Do the same for the second one. 5- put them back in the box x few seconds. 6- Take them out , they will pair in few seconds. 7-turn on Bluetooth on your device. 8- done, If there are two indy shown on the Bluetooth, then unpair or forget the one is not connected. Good luck.
Here I found a way to do it 1. Disconnect and forget the device on bluetooth 2. Hold both earbuds for around 10 seconds (they will flash red for a second) 3. Hold them again for around 10 seconds (Hold until it stops flashing any colour) 4. Put them back in the case, close the case and open the case 5. Take the buds out when they both flash red 6. Wait until left earbud starts flashing red and blue 7. Connect to your device
Oh My God Thank you soo muich for this one. I have gone through millions of videos trying to fix my earbuds and now they finally start to work! If only one of your earbud is working and the other one wont pair, go through the instructions at 08:23 that worked for me with one try ty so much skyllcandy.

Wait until both red, take out, do a power cycle, on-pair-off(might automatically turn on when you take out of case; just hold for 10 seconds after you take them out , should say pairing at same time, then say power off, keep holding, then I heard a bell and that got them to sync{sorry for the scrambled pieces of info}). $same method, plan b: just put in case, wait until red again, take them bitches out, put in ear carefully without touching the sensative part. (hold antennas to not disrupt the process) it might say pairing, if not, hold for 4 seconds at same time. And you will hear a bell and you are fucking good to go. Should only be one Evo now. Hopefully this helped. I almost died trying to figure this out and the manual got me all messed up.
after owning my dimes for a little over a year now, I finally lost the case unfortunately, but I had wanted to upgrade anaways, I found a sweet deal on these earbuds and decided to pick em up, can't wait for them to come in
at first i had troubles pairing the two earbuds together, and i kept following 8:24 with no results. after a half an hour or so, it started working. so my advice would be to just be patient with it. it didnt work for me the first couple tries but in the end, it worked out. i also learned that TWO "indy evo/fuel" will show up on your device. that should be the case BUT your phone should only be paired to one of the two. When trying to pair the earbuds with your phone, your phone will ask you twice if you want to pair. Say "yes" to both. Although this happens, your phone should show up as if you're connected to one device. I got the Indy Evo today so I've had it for less than 24 hours. So I can't say anything more than this. Alrighty so it's really easy to pair them...first and foremost: -go to your bluetooth settings and press forget device for both indy buds (after tht turn ur bluetooth off) - next, take your ear buds outa the case if they aren't already..now press and hold for 10 secs for it to come off.. - now press both buttons for 4 secs to turn it on - once u hold for 4 secs put both back in the case but don't close the case..wait for both led light on the buds to turn red..once they'red take them out - once you take them out hold them side by side u will see a sync in a flashing blue light...keep waiting until the left side is the only one blinking red and blue... -once thts ready..turn bluetooth back on and search for the correct bluetooth connection in the new device pairing area (just like you would pair any new headset/ear bud) Should work perfectly! Hope it works for u guys!
Hold down both power buttons for 10 to 12 seconds (make sure you didn't pair them to your phone if so in pair then hold them down) and put them back in the case and pull them out again and they should flash red, the left one will flash red and blue when they are connected Then Bluetooth it to your phone
Yeah they appear to be a pain. I had them set up to my phone and iPad. 2 days later get all ready to work out and they stopped seeing each other. Now my short window to work out has been screwed up watching videos trying fix them. Now my work out time is not worth it starting one. Do I have to do this every time I effing work out????
I’ve had them a month now and I’m just now having an issue, I think I screwed up the pairing myself and I think they were on low battery, but this is the first time I’ve had pairing issues. I have the Evos, they work great so far.
These are probably the best buds.... I have used airpods and true wireless earbuds of other companies but they were not as good as these fucking indys are...🔥🔥🔥
Mine wont pair together, this is my first experience with skullcandy and I dont think there will be another. Got 2 days use out of them and spent the last week trying to get them to sync together, they both connect to my phone but only one will play

Someone said it but I ll repeat it. Pull both buds out, hold both buds at the same time until they both turn red. Once it turns red, they will sync. Then turn your bluetooth on and sync to your device.... voi la!

I bought these as well as the Sesh as both were 40% off. Crazy how much better the Sesh sounds vs the Indy Evo in regards to volume and bass characteristics...and the Sesh is cheaper. I will say both connect to a Samsung Galaxy S9 very quickly. If you alternate between the two, each disconnects/reconnects very quickly. The Evos are nice in the sense they have the touch features. The Sesh has more of a manual button to push in. I wish the Sesh had the battery life and Type C charging port that the Evo has. One other quick note....the magnets in the Sesh case are a lot stronger due to more surface area connecting. They don't fall out...whereas the Evos do. I do a lot of mountain biking as the Evos do not fit under my helmet as good as the Sesh. Both sets pass the head shake test...they don't fall out.

Everything's great except IR Sensor (In-Ear Detection/Wear Detection). Hope atleast in next version, Skullcandy considers slim stability gel and gives IR Sensor.
I’ve tried everything to get these to pair and nothing works,only one side will play and it’s annoying as can be shouldn’t be this hard for the money you pay!!
Use these steps, if you're having problems pairing: -To ensure ease of re-pairing, please unpair or forget your INDY™ FUEL in your paired Bluetooth device list -Remove the INDY™ FUEL from the charging case and Manually Power OFF: -Touch and hold BOTH buds for 6 seconds -Once both buds have been powered OFF, reset them: -Touch and hold each bud for 10 seconds to completely reset them (you will see the light go from blinking red blue to only red. When the light is only red, stop holding) Sync the buds together: -Place the buds back in the case until both LED’s show red, and then pull them back out. -Both buds will automatically power ON and the LED’s will simultaneously flash BLUE while they sync to each other. -You will hear a tone to indicate the sync was successful and ONLY the LEFT bud will begin to flash RED/BLUE. At this time, turn on your device’s Bluetooth and look for INDY in your list of Available Bluetooth devices. Please make sure it only appears once, and select it. IMPORTANT - Select all “Pair” and “Ok” prompts that will pop up on your screen. Also, you will see two Indys in your bluetooth once youre done doing the above. Don't unpair the unconnected one, it's used when you use solo mode. Hope this helps!
My second pair of Indy Evo's... I can't get the earbuds to sync with each other no matter what and to be quite blunt it shouldn't be that much trouble to set up. Skullcandy has always been my go-to brand for work and recreation, but screw this I'm switching brands from now on.
When i am putting my earbuds in the case and closing the case, the music is still playing in them, they are not auto disconnecting. Are they defective?
Just a user recommendation. I like these so far, but it's gonna be a huge b----- to like, learn the number of taps on the earbuds to activate these varying features and annoying to adjust perception accordingly (IE oops was that a tap or a hold?) I think it would be more user friendly to have an app that controls these off the phone. The tap system is okay if you're on PC. Anyway, this is by no means a complaint, these are easily the most comfortable ear buds I've ever had and the design and sound is lovely. Thanks.
Yo tuve le mismo problema con indy normal, esto ocurrió según servicios técnicos por un posible golpe o error si estos estaban cargando en un apagón eléctrico lo que hace que alguno de los 2 lados deje de funcionar correctamente, ya sea recibiendo comandos o que el audio empeore, para esto no hay solución, me temo.

Solo listening isn't working I've reset them twice now every time I put the right bud back the left one disconnects There are also two sets of indy fuel pairing to my advice as if they are separate I've only had them about a week now
I just bought Indy evo, I've been using it for about 2 days. Every single time I use them, it cuts out at least 30 times per song. Honestly the worst earbuds I've ever used.
if your having trouble, just use the app, its WAY easier than manually doing this. All you have to do is download the app and pair it. Once you have done that, you can just pair the earbuds with one click of a button.
I just had this earbuds I liked the whole thing Except two things First is it has a low microphone. Whenever I’m on call with someone I have to speak loud for them to hear I am not able to whisper cuz they cant really here it. Unlike the other earbuds I can whisper through the call and still can be heard clearly. 2nd thing is, when the earbuds are in case for the long time and disconnected from iphone, when i pull the earbuds out of the case, they won’t connect to the phone automatically. I will have to pull out my phone first before to connect it.
Just got these the other day cannot get them to pair together. Hell I can't even get the light to turn red by tapping the damn thing x4. I'm taking them back to Costco screw these buds worst experience I have had from skullcandy's products.

I did this a dozen times and it didn't work. I finally got it to work. I think the important thing was to make sure when they start flashing red/blue to touch them again quickly and hold for OVER 10 seconds, more like 12, so keep holding well after the lights have gone out. It was only then that my left one finally started blinking like it was trying to pair with the other.
I finally got mine to work, and i followed the directions on the skullcandy website to reset. i tried many times and the trick is while you reset them, the two buds need to be touching. the two circles need to be side by side as you hold down to reset

I bought a pair of Indy Evo earbuds probably about a year ago and were working just fine until recently where only the left side started working. Right before this, my Indy Evo earbuds went missing, so I bought a pair of Smokin' Buds, which weren't that bad. Shortly after getting the new pair, I downloaded the Skullcandy app, where I found out the Smokin' Buds weren't compatible with it. Not too long after downloading the app, I found my old Indy Evos that were working just as good as they used to be. Then, out of nowhere, the right earbud stopped working when connected. I searched through Google for days without end, just to find the same thing that doesn't work: Forget device, reset earbuds (never worked), put them back in the case, and pull them back out. This may be happening because my earbuds are pretty old, but they were working just fine before everything happened. Then recently, when trying to pair them to my phone to test if that would fix it, I discovered that BOTH earbuds got SEPARATED and changed to TWO DIFFERENT DEVICES. When finding this out, I went to Google again and saw that tapping the touch pad x4 would re-pair them. NEVER WORKED. All it did was play a sound and did NOTHING. This is probably that "Solo Mode" feature that they're talking about. I am currently dumbfounded on how stupid this situation is.

Just got these today. Initial pairing went great but then when I tried to pair them with another device that was the end of that. I can get one or the other bud to connect, but not both at the same time. So far it has been impossible to get the 'pairing' mode to happen a second time, even after following trouble shooting over and over and over and over again. Why would anyone make earbuds so incredibly complicated? I've had quite a few of them and they all had a function/button SOMETHING to get them to enter pairing mode immediately. I thought the reviews on how difficult it is to get them to connect were exagerated but nope! These are a nightmare and I will be returning them.
Hate these things. Mine needed pairing nearly every morning. Then either 1 will play then the other won't. It took me 45 minutes today & they still wouldn't pair after that. I've gave up & threw them in the draw. A complete waste of money. The reset option don't want to know either.
I've done the exact same thing.. spend more time fluffing around with them, eats into gym time, not worth the trouble. Just chucked them in the drawer. Have to look for receipt but think I might have chucked it 🤦♀️
If you are trying to use only one earbud at a time but they both stop I have a fix. So I was using the left side by its self & then I wanted to change to using just the right. So I put them both back into the case pulled both out, put the left side back in & the right side would also shut off. This is where I found a fix to make sure I can use one at a time. Put both earbuds back into case go to bluetooth settings & unpair! And then pair them again take both earbuds out & put one earbud back in & boom u can use one at a time. This has only happened once since I've bought them. Hope this helps someone. Also there is a reset feature shown in this video

Thank you for this video, truly helped. But, I would like to use one only. I think I followed your instructions correctly and I had them both working i my ears. I took one out and put it in the case, a few seconds later the one in my ear turns off. Am I misunderstanding something? Thank you

Indy ANC stopped pairing to my phone after trying to use it on laptop dongle. Used the reset method above and it works perfect now. Thanks!
Just got my hands on the "Indy Fuel", very comfortable, good sound quality, great battery life and easy to use.

- next, take your ear buds outa the case if they aren't already..now press and hold for 10 secs for it to come off..
- now press both buttons for 4 secs to turn it on
- once u hold for 4 secs put both back in the case but don't close the case..wait for both led light on the buds to turn red..once they'red take them out
- once you take them out hold them side by side u will see a sync in a flashing blue light...keep waiting until the left side is the only one blinking red and blue...
-once thts ready..turn bluetooth back on and search for the correct bluetooth connection in the new device pairing area (just like you would pair any new headset/ear bud)

Hold down both power buttons for 10 to 12 seconds (make sure you didn't pair them to your phone if so in pair then hold them down) and put them back in the case and pull them out again and they should flash red, the left one will flash red and blue when they are connected

Yeah they appear to be a pain. I had them set up to my phone and iPad. 2 days later get all ready to work out and they stopped seeing each other. Now my short window to work out has been screwed up watching videos trying fix them. Now my work out time is not worth it starting one. Do I have to do this every time I effing work out????

I’ve had them a month now and I’m just now having an issue, I think I screwed up the pairing myself and I think they were on low battery, but this is the first time I’ve had pairing issues. I have the Evos, they work great so far.

Someone said it but I ll repeat it. Pull both buds out, hold both buds at the same time until they both turn red. Once it turns red, they will sync. Then turn your bluetooth on and sync to your device.... voi la!

I’ve been using Skullcandy for around 4 years, and I’m so happy and satisfied with it!! The Quality and the price are perfect
I bought these as well as the Sesh as both were 40% off. Crazy how much better the Sesh sounds vs the Indy Evo in regards to volume and bass characteristics...and the Sesh is cheaper. I will say both connect to a Samsung Galaxy S9 very quickly. If you alternate between the two, each disconnects/reconnects very quickly. The Evos are nice in the sense they have the touch features. The Sesh has more of a manual button to push in. I wish the Sesh had the battery life and Type C charging port that the Evo has. One other quick note....the magnets in the Sesh case are a lot stronger due to more surface area connecting. They don't fall out...whereas the Evos do. I do a lot of mountain biking as the Evos do not fit under my helmet as good as the Sesh. Both sets pass the head shake test...they don't fall out.

Use these steps, if you're having problems pairing:
-To ensure ease of re-pairing, please unpair or forget your INDY™ FUEL in your paired Bluetooth device list
-Remove the INDY™ FUEL from the charging case and Manually Power OFF:
-Touch and hold BOTH buds for 6 seconds
-Once both buds have been powered OFF, reset them:
-Touch and hold each bud for 10 seconds to completely reset them (you will see the light go from blinking red blue to only red. When the light is only red, stop holding)
Sync the buds together:
-Place the buds back in the case until both LED’s show red, and then pull them back out.
-Both buds will automatically power ON and the LED’s will simultaneously flash BLUE while they sync to each other.
-You will hear a tone to indicate the sync was successful and ONLY the LEFT bud will begin to flash RED/BLUE.
At this time, turn on your device’s Bluetooth and look for INDY in your list of Available Bluetooth devices. Please make sure it only appears once, and select it.
IMPORTANT - Select all “Pair” and “Ok” prompts that will pop up on your screen.
Also, you will see two Indys in your bluetooth once youre done doing the above. Don't unpair the unconnected one, it's used when you use solo mode. Hope this helps!

My second pair of Indy Evo's... I can't get the earbuds to sync with each other no matter what and to be quite blunt it shouldn't be that much trouble to set up. Skullcandy has always been my go-to brand for work and recreation, but screw this I'm switching brands from now on.

Just a user recommendation. I like these so far, but it's gonna be a huge b----- to like, learn the number of taps on the earbuds to activate these varying features and annoying to adjust perception accordingly (IE oops was that a tap or a hold?) I think it would be more user friendly to have an app that controls these off the phone. The tap system is okay if you're on PC. Anyway, this is by no means a complaint, these are easily the most comfortable ear buds I've ever had and the design and sound is lovely. Thanks.

Yo tuve le mismo problema con indy normal, esto ocurrió según servicios técnicos por un posible golpe o error si estos estaban cargando en un apagón eléctrico lo que hace que alguno de los 2 lados deje de funcionar correctamente, ya sea recibiendo comandos o que el audio empeore, para esto no hay solución, me temo.

I just bought Indy evo, I've been using it for about 2 days. Every single time I use them, it cuts out at least 30 times per song. Honestly the worst earbuds I've ever used.
if your having trouble, just use the app, its WAY easier than manually doing this. All you have to do is download the app and pair it. Once you have done that, you can just pair the earbuds with one click of a button.

First is it has a low microphone. Whenever I’m on call with someone
I have to speak loud for them to hear
I am not able to whisper cuz they cant really here it. Unlike the other earbuds
I can whisper through the call and still can be heard clearly.
2nd thing is, when the earbuds are in case for the long time and disconnected from iphone, when i pull the earbuds out of the case, they won’t connect to the phone automatically.
I will have to pull out my phone first before to connect it.

I did this a dozen times and it didn't work. I finally got it to work. I think the important thing was to make sure when they start flashing red/blue to touch them again quickly and hold for OVER 10 seconds, more like 12, so keep holding well after the lights have gone out. It was only then that my left one finally started blinking like it was trying to pair with the other.
Whenever I take out the buds out the case only the left one flashes blue and the other one doesn't do anything

I finally got mine to work, and i followed the directions on the skullcandy website to reset. i tried many times and the trick is while you reset them, the two buds need to be touching. the two circles need to be side by side as you hold down to reset

I bought a pair of Indy Evo earbuds probably about a year ago and were working just fine until recently where only the left side started working. Right before this, my Indy Evo earbuds went missing, so I bought a pair of Smokin' Buds, which weren't that bad. Shortly after getting the new pair, I downloaded the Skullcandy app, where I found out the Smokin' Buds weren't compatible with it. Not too long after downloading the app, I found my old Indy Evos that were working just as good as they used to be. Then, out of nowhere, the right earbud stopped working when connected. I searched through Google for days without end, just to find the same thing that doesn't work: Forget device, reset earbuds (never worked), put them back in the case, and pull them back out. This may be happening because my earbuds are pretty old, but they were working just fine before everything happened. Then recently, when trying to pair them to my phone to test if that would fix it, I discovered that BOTH earbuds got SEPARATED and changed to TWO DIFFERENT DEVICES. When finding this out, I went to Google again and saw that tapping the touch pad x4 would re-pair them. NEVER WORKED. All it did was play a sound and did NOTHING. This is probably that "Solo Mode" feature that they're talking about. I am currently dumbfounded on how stupid this situation is.

Just got these today. Initial pairing went great but then when I tried to pair them with another device that was the end of that. I can get one or the other bud to connect, but not both at the same time. So far it has been impossible to get the 'pairing' mode to happen a second time, even after following trouble shooting over and over and over and over again. Why would anyone make earbuds so incredibly complicated? I've had quite a few of them and they all had a function/button SOMETHING to get them to enter pairing mode immediately. I thought the reviews on how difficult it is to get them to connect were exagerated but nope! These are a nightmare and I will be returning them.

Hate these things. Mine needed pairing nearly every morning. Then either 1 will play then the other won't. It took me 45 minutes today & they still wouldn't pair after that. I've gave up & threw them in the draw. A complete waste of money. The reset option don't want to know either.

If you are trying to use only one earbud at a time but they both stop I have a fix. So I was using the left side by its self & then I wanted to change to using just the right. So I put them both back into the case pulled both out, put the left side back in & the right side would also shut off. This is where I found a fix to make sure I can use one at a time. Put both earbuds back into case go to bluetooth settings & unpair! And then pair them again take both earbuds out & put one earbud back in & boom u can use one at a time. This has only happened once since I've bought them. Hope this helps someone. Also there is a reset feature shown in this video
