Thank you for showing how you put the belt in as well, Jim. A lot of videos on this topic skip this step, presumably because of the difficulty in filming this part.
good video as always can I add one thing in case your average day diy person did not make a copy of the routing of the belt or there's no picture use a rule of thumb ribbed part of the belt always goes on to rib pulleys and the back side of the belt which is smooth will run on tensioner or idler pulleys that have no ribs this is help me out in the past when I too have made that mistake and as saved my bacon LOL keep them coming Jim
My car has the chirping after I start the engine. Just now, I took it out for a drive, and while I was stopped and idling, the noice came back and stayed for a solid 5-6 seconds. If I replace the belt, would it fix the issue or is it another problem? I have a 99 accord lx 2.3 5 spd
I’ve had my serpentine belt broken, could it have come from my power steering? I’ve had problems with my power steering first and then my drive belt broke.
@@jimthecarguy I’ve always been taught the letters need to face outside (face you as you look at it) because the cords in the belts are wound a certain way. Maybe this doesn’t apply to serpentine belts but I do believe it applies to v belts and snowmobile belts. 🤷🏻♂️
Great video Jim! I appreciate guys like you that take the time to make these detailed videos. Thank you!

Good job bro.
Very helpful. Why not release the old belt's tension, then cut it off with scissors to make it easy to pull out?
thx man big help
Jim, awesome videos! Thanks again buddy 👍👍

At least you struggled on the bottom aft pulley as I did. I had to take a break and look for tips because it is kicking my ass.

Sorry I don't recall and there is no markings on the tool.I think that I got it from Matco or possible Snap on.
Good video Jim. Except you put the belt backwards!! The letters need to be right side up. Lol!!! Keep up the good work.😁
You know I did have a customer years ago actually said that to me and was serious.Thank you for watching
@@jimthecarguy well I guess jim doesn't mind putting on his hat backwards.

Does not apply to my 2014 Honda Accord, no 14mm try a T50 and you don't remove a water bottle but the engine mount, fyi support the engine first.
