As someone who didn’t fall for the UD hype, that was the chalkiest palette. And people started to notice toward 2018 when the hype was dying. So, I’m not surprised that the new one is less chalky regardless of age
Don't feel bad, at all! When I was in school for my esthetician's license this was literally in the text book because it's universally flattering and a classic technique.
I still have the original. I prefer the cooler tones. Bummer that the new leans warmer. The Naked2 palette was my favorite, and I repurchased so many times. I still have one NIB, just in case they discontinued it. I hate when good things go away.
I still have the Naked 2!! Bummed they didn't re-release that one. Guess I'll keep using the old one lol I did find out you can buy the individual colors. Tease is my fav and I found it for $30
You keep making jokes about it looking bad, but I think your eyes look gorgeous! It’s just the perfect everyday look. I miss this way of doing eyeshadow, it was so simple! I’d love some new naked tutorials :)
@@GhostofMrsMuir1443The vast majority of CT's line is super warm toned. Pillow Talk is orange on me. The only blush that actually looks pink is Love is the Drug. I do like the couple of gray/silver toned eyeshadow quads she has though.
I recommend using blue mixers for liquid products, and blue blush powder from Korean, Japanese or Chinese beauty brands as a "filter" to over top of blush or bronzer make other powder products cooler. Not the super light blue powders for briggtening under the eyes, but light to medium tone blue blushes! This "hack" made me have less problems with everything turning orange on my face 😅😊
@@rosethorn0232true, being pale fair cool, we literally have zero brands that cater to us tbh. 3-4 shades lighter than the lightest Korean foundations in my case. I just accept it that we need to be mad scientists with our cosmetics lol 😅😂
IDK about y'all but the Too Faced Chocolate eye palette (light pink one) was EVERYTHING. So perfect. Was very irritated when I went to repurchase and saw it was discontinued.
@@LatinaChef1986 Yes!!! The chocolate bons bons!! I got rid of the super OG one I had for years and bought a replacement around 2019. After a couple of years I was like "ok, time to get a fresh one" and they were no more!! Luckily I still have it, and use it from time to time even though its pretty old now LOL
@@LatinaChef1986 Seriously though it was amazing. If I'm not mistaken, I think they got rid of the chocolate bronzer as well. Like wth it all smelled so good and had such wonderful cool tones. Ok lol just checked they DO have the bronzer but it is in new packaging, hence my confusion. Either way, I keep hoping they will bring back the bon bon palette.
I bought the original NAKED palette with my first paycheck from my first full time job back in 2012. My husband just came in while I was watching this and said, 'hey, didn't you used to have that, like, fifteen years ago?' 💀
Damn, that's disappointing. I never had the original naked palette but always wanted it. As a cool toned girly, that slight change to warmer tones is just not doing it for me. 😢
I still have the Naked 2 palette, which they did not remake! I'm not throwing mine away... My favorite shade is Tease, which I did find that you can just buy the one single color, for like $30 though ;(

I wonder if brushes, techniques, and age make a difference. I wonder if some of the color drift is bc UD is owned by L’oreal now. Whoever was in charge of quality control and making sure shades stay consistent may not be there anymore and it’s caused the shades to drift. Maybe some pigments are no longer available. It’s also the same issues with MAC lipsticks
Very interesting, I have my old one from 2011, it's still absolutely fine. I alcohol spray it just in case but ya they swatch and are that same intensity. It's interesting how the original NAKED as you said were slightly cooler yet it produced the most intense Bronzey eye. Why wud they not just do the same?
But how to use eyeshadows at all today when trends are against eyeshadows… everybody does their eye makeup with only a half wing and that’s it… no eyeshadow at all
@@Soaring_SeajayI did not touch eyeshadow in the last two years, it’s not trendy and makes you look like an older lady Probably I only bought a cream holographic semi translucent eyeshadow for summer
I was one of the few millennials that couldn't afford the OG og 🥲while my skin is deeper, I still prefer cooler and I'm disappointed that they changed it to be warmer since I didn't get to experience it the way it was meant to be the first time😭
i think part of the different texture is age, ten years will do it even to the powders
UD removed PFAS. It was in the original formula.
