Great Breakdown. Im a Jamaican Citizen by birth and as a result have a Caricom Passport. I completely understand why those countries are opting out and its a valid reason. I would also even go further as to say (although I'll probably get backlash from my Fellow Jamaicans) but truthfully, it would be best not to allow some Caribbean Residents to be able to move freely. Some Caribbean islands like Antigua, St Lucia, St Kitts etc are extremely safe, on the flip side my home country of Jamaica is filled with ignorance and criminality. In my opinion it would be ill advisable to allow such citizens to travel freely. Unfortunately the Caribbean doesn't have the tech and the database systems to really isolate such ignorant people and prevent them from spreading their ignorance to other countries and giving their home country a bad name. If you get your Caricom skills certificate do you actually have to have the skill or can you just get the certificate to stay in the country. Another thing for each Caribbean country, do you need the skills certificate or if you get one, you can travel and live in all the Caribbean countries with that one certificate.
Love this I'm Canadian but my parents are from Jamaica I jus applied for my Jamaican citizenship so I can live and travel in any of the caricom countries. That gives me so much options when I'm tired of Canada which is right now 😆 lol
Can you tell us how the procedures worked to get the Jamaican citizenship? The media and online presence always has so much negativity relating to Jamaica.....
What are the reasons that St. Vincents and Grenadines refuses to offer any CBI program? Is it correct that the Caribbean programs are increasingly coming under the thumb of the EU and US, thereby reducing the value of the citizenships? The EU always threatens to end visa free travel in Europe. But nowadays, who should care about that anyway?!?!?
Seems like it might be designed by someone with the intention of getting rid of tax free countries. No way could any tax free country make it if they are taking in people that will need help financially. Very worrying.

CARICOM must be like the EU, they won't accept the Dominican Republic because of its policies towards Haiti.

If these tax free countries have to take in people that need help financially there is no way they can continue to be tax free.
