Tere Kätlin! Ma olen Ivan - I’m a German guy learning Estonian in Germany. I found your videos and I’m really enjoying watching them. So, first of all, suur aitäh! Sadly, after watching this video I need to give you my feedback, because I have the feeling that this video is confusing. You start taking about the verb “omama”, but then you use the expression “mul on”... As far as I learned, the verb omama means to have, yes, but the example using this verb would be “ma oman maja” (I have a house). My Estonian friends explained to me that this is correct but not normally used in spoken language. The expression “mul on maja” is clearly correct and the most common way to express “I have”, but it’s not connected to the verb omama, but to a “pertenece case” (Omastav + l). Please, don’t get offended! But this was too confusing.
