It just confuse me a little bit cos there's alot of stores around,in my old days it wasn't alot shops there n now I can sees my town is growing. I can hia that coffee lady's was talking about my moms island called Malake. Thank mate for reminding me of back ground. God bless
They have a great indoors market now since after 2006 military coup To have good place for selling is something that was done during those years 2006 to 2022 So that all can enjoy going to the market in Viti Levu especially

@@ThePaleBlueDot I have spent a lot of time around nandovi and vaileka and I assure you mr dot,you havnt dug deep enough..lol.agreed it's not pretty as compare to say,Ba.but then very few towns in Fiji are known for their beauty..maybe levuka but it has taken a hit with last cyclone..suva in the eighties was a lovely post colonial city now it is halfway to becoming just another trashy nondescript city.lautoka used to be quite nise but has been hit hard by the indian exodus and I was shocked at how down at heel it is now. prouds being allowed to build into the park has desecrated what was a lovely parade..I was so shocked they had done that.especially when they could have demolished any area of the city centre to build it and it would have been an improvement . I had considered travel writing but over the years I decided I couldn't given the way tourism and development can destroy what was there..on most of my travels I am left thinking,wish I was here ten years ago,fifty,sometimes one hundred years..lol. Fiji does have a place in my heart tho,regardless of what they do to it. As Patrick white once said...worship in a ruin..lol

The stories of Nakauvadra is just a romanticised tale of something that took place in stories. A story which intepret as where the hill which Ancestors descended.... but in fact those that settled Fiji came by sea, and no one descended from the mountains. Nakauvadra is a story of an ancestral mythology of a group of Fijians ...those that came from West-Guadalcanal in the the Solomon Islands. It is said that they were the last arrivals runaways from headhunters back home. They have silent T's in their language. This so because they had tongue piercing on their tongue tips producing T sound wasn't possible now the practice have gone but language still remains.

Visited the Lau group on last visit, as my great grandfather was the lighthouse keeper on Wailagilala island approx. 1915 - 1920. Absolute Paradise out there! @@prophet1782 Yes! I can't wait to show everyone Matera in Basilicata where I moved to in 2015 and the almost 60 towns in the same region that I visited and was welcomed with so much hospitality. I was often told that not only was I the first Fijian and non-Italian to travel so widely in Basilicata but I was probably the first person ever (including Italians)! 😎😎

How do you manage to get good video quality in Fiji??
I used a GoPro Hero 8 on this occasion but when I use my Sony camera, the quality is much better.
