In co2 molecule, if we don't know structure of molecule, then this trick is not applicable ? ( in co2 valence electrons 4 ,sigma bond 2 , then lone pair 1 means sp2 hybridization)

Sir if lone pair electrons are 2 then we can make it as 1 lp for adding it with surrounding atom . What if the lone pair electrons are 3 then how to we make that into lone pair for adding it eith surrounding atoms. Please clear my doubt sir.

If EN of terminal atom is greater than central atom then u have to calculate it as a lp ...but if EN of.terminal atom is not greater than central atom u have to neglect this electron
