Always love the look of the curly ends. I have 4b hair and plan on starting my loc journey hopefully this month in November, but I plan on getting some color back before I get locs. I’ll be starting with the coil method❤️
Hi Courtney. I just started “studying” learning about the different ways I will start my journey. Your videos have been so helpful and informative. I was also able to weed out what I don’t want which is so important to know. You’re awesome and love your videos. ❤😊
This was right on time. I got my third re-twist today and was not sure how to maintain my curly ends. You confirmed what my loctician said. I did have a better understanding... Thank you!! I love all of your content!
I had wispy wavy ends a year into my journey and I trimmed them years ago. I just combed out the ends and they are too cute but I don’t think I want to keep up with the maintenance. I’m hoping they’ll loc up wavy again and not blunt. 🤞🏽
Thank you for this video. I plaited curly ends on my microlocs to create the boho look. It looks really natural. I want to add some curls on the middle of my locs as a permanent feature. I am not sure how this would work. What do you recommend? ❤
If your hair is curly like 4a in a wash n go, is that what you mean by natural curl? Will a 4a curl remain at the end of locs? I like my curls, but with two little kids whose hair I Also have to do, I want a more permanent solution to an easier to maintain style for me.
This video came right on time. So I am truly wanting to do the big chop and start my locs from scratch. I am recently growing out my relaxed Bob and I wondered how to have curly ends when I’m starting from a TWA. I have thick fine hair. Is there a suggested loc size 0.4m or 0.08m or larger?
I started my Freeform loc journey about 5 months ago. I have 3b hair and most my dreads have that loose tip or curly end. Do you know a way to help it loc up
You can use a crochet tool to make the ends look more uniform. Look for an instant loc tutorial. I have a video explaining the method, with pros and cons: ua-cam.com/video/OnTvL0KnUJ0/v-deo.html - Start at 7:05
Hi, I started my micro locs with about 8 months of transitioned hair and kept my relaxed ends....but I want curly ends. Should I keep the relaxed ends and just perm rod curl the relaxed ends or wait until my locs mature and cut the relaxed ends off? Any advice is helpful. TIA!! ❤❤
Hey I’m no professional here but I would say do what you feel. If you have the patience , curl them! But definitely at some point cut the breakage or relaxed ends off!
If you start the loc with instant locs, how easy is it to comb out the ends and have curly ends? Also, how easy is it to comb out the locs after years of crochet maintenance?
Combing out mature locs is a fairly simple process, it’s the time it takes that makes it “hard” to do. It’s extremely time-consuming. So that’s really up to a person’s patience!
As a loctician i appreciate “your side of the internet” ❤
Yayyyy 🥰 I always wonder if locticians follow me too! I’m late, but welcomeeee
@@CourtneyGraytonI’m a guy in it’s not rare but I have friends who ask me I’m I mix lol but I’m brown skinnn 😆 I told them idk 😆

Love the curly ends. I have 4b/4c hair. Thank you for this video. I start my microloc journey in November. I'm looking forward to it.
You are so welcome! Best wishes to you on your loc journey 💞

Depending on how much you combed out, you might want to coil the ends to give them a shape for when they loc again

It’s my pleasure! I personally don’t recommend you add any hair to your locs.
Thank you for this info! I definitely am going for the curly end loc aesthetic and this helps!
You're so welcome!
I just got my 2 strand twists 2 weeks ago. Should I spray them with water or only use oil on them? They aren’t budding yet.
Both

Coloring Hair before or after loccing?
Yes, I needdddd this one.
I heard that you should do it after and apparently it’s supposed to help loc your hair faster. Bc of the chemical damage lol
Before so you don’t damage your locs. With locs the dye can get stuck inside of them and damage them from the inside out
Do you have methods to get rid of them and help them lock up?
Crochet, or just time.. they’ll eventually loc
Hi hi, I wanted to ask, can i re part my locs without having to cut them? Like can i go from a c-shaped parting to a box part? Thank you 🤭
Hello! I recently answered this question in this video: ua-cam.com/video/vnvLT7Hzitw/v-deo.html. It’s the first question answered in the video

@@CourtneyGrayton are you still doing hair consultation or just when you place a reservation
I just started my loc hair journey with my ends loose. How often should I moisturize my ends
As often as you moisturize the rest of your head

What's a good protein treatment for locs?
I've only used one! Check it out here: amzn.to/477GSX0.
Follow the directions carefully! A little goes a long way.
