I am Emi's fan club president and I thought I would answer. A little foot note about this song. There was tornado damage back last year on the North side of Birmingham area. EmiSunshine's Mother Alisha Hamilton called to check on her Birmingham people to see if we were ok. My friend Sam lives in Calera and I am on 280 near Chelsea so all the damage was on the other side of town of Birmingham, Al and we were fine. Later that night she dream about twin baby girls that died from the tornado and the grieving mom named Miss Anna. The song was born from that dream! She literally dreamed it and got up from her sleep to write it down and they finished it that day!

I’m not a writer who writes for the sake of winning fans or becoming a star. I write for the song. This song has lots of sadness and it beckoned a prequel so I’m bound to write it now. Idk if Anna was a real person that bled into my moms dream or if she just had storms on her mind… but I loved the song before it was truly born. As I read the concept I knew Anna would be a lifelong companion and would dredge up a lifetime of songs.
I'm a True and Original follower of EmiSunshine. And, going strong watching Miss Emi evolve into one of the most musically gifted, creative, intelligent, empathetic, and mindful individuals on the Planet. I would say, "her faith in God multiplying her talents the more she uses them" would be the ultimate source of her getting to where she is today, then add her family, Sunshiners, and real fans and friends. She knows it, and anyone who Truly knows her, knows this to be true. Not certain what or who you are thinking has gotten her where she is. This young lady has more backing than the Grateful Dead, and the fortitude most longtimers dont have. This song, this video is a musical Masterpiece.
