10 years from now it will be worth 2x the Senna too. His money, but I don't think that was a wise buy.
@@bobk3432 Senna vs TDF on a track isn’t even close. Also you can look at the difference in value at being an advantage if he actually wants to track the Senna hard and often. Driving the TDF like that would be disastrous for its value, most likely.

Can’t say I understand the logic of this. TDF over a senna any day of the week. If you wanted a track car, go buy a proper racing car (e.g. Praga...)

My thoughts exactly. Checkout the video he did of this very car at McLaren. He was enthusiastic there, now though, the drool coming out of his mouth was flowing out of my screen. It's just great seeing people so into these things rather than it just being another for the collection.

Valkyrie is WAY out of realm than the other 2 cars you mentioned
@@bhargavshatrughna489 If you're talking about the performance realm then yes, they both are 15+ years older. If you're talking about price, then no. Valkyrie starts at 3mil. That's one F40 and a Senna or CGT. It's possible with the credit line they seem to have. With the price of TDF currently he could have done a straight trade price wise for his TDF with the Senna.
The reason I said F40 is because he literally has a video titled a few months ago, "trading my F10 TDF for a F40". He has stated the same about the CGT in the video with him a TGE "Reuniting". And I said the Valkyrie because of his focus on his recent purchase of track focused cars and his "partnership" with Aston.

I think it is a Ferrari 812 Competizione as that is the only thing I think he would swap it for and he said that he wanted to swap the F12 for an 812 so he doesn't have to worry about the miles and it would be worth a lot more than he paid. 🤞

Shame the TDF has left. I think over time you’ll miss it more than the Senna can make up for. The TDF has so much soul compared to the Senna. That being said it’s one of the best looking senna’s out there 👍

At least he didn't buy it new from the factory. Those guys took a huge hit when compared to their falling value that seems to only now sort of tabling off a bit. If I remember correctly this was advertised at just under £600,000. This very car was in my dream huge lottery win garage. If I could oh boy, yes I would. Oh well it is what it is.
@@macman6107 McLarens are depreciation monsters. Even moreso than AMGs, because they have further to fall. But yeah, he didn't buy it from the factory. He financed a used depreciating asset with one of his sponsors. He'll be fine and make content.

As Senna’s go this is the nicest one I’ve seen (sorry Tim!) the channel is on fire at the moment James so congratulations on that. It’s sad that the TDF has gone and I never got to have a go!! 😂😂
A lot of subs are complaining about the TDF replacement but honestly unlike other Senna out there this one stands out inmediately, hell even Shmee's senna isn't this pretty. I still believe the TDF needed a better replacement like an F40 for example but this senna is too damn good.

I couldn't stand these when they came out as they looked tiny on film but once you see one up close they are SOOOO wide and look mental. Absolutely love them now. Great informative film James. Already watched the road film you did with this car and I reccomend that to anybody! Unbelievable to think of the problems that mclaren have had when they make such bonkers motors!

Ive seen beautiful cars before … many, the gullwing, the Ferrari 250 Cal, the P 930 turbo … I’ve admired beautiful engineering in timepieces such as Alang or Patek with their beautiful functioning calibers that are mesmerising to behold but … I can honestly say that I have never seen such a beautiful spec on anything ever made before … congratulations on the acquisition mate really wow …

@@jxzn9144 I live very close to McLaren Ascot. I’ve seen a couple of them before and whilst they are slightly better looking than the camera shows, they really aren’t a car I’m excited about. It’s just so ugly. On the other hand, an orange 720s spider was parked up yesterday and was incredible. The Senna is all about function but the form is horrible.

Congratulations ... i had a Mclaren 720s i believe beside downtown Toronto ... it sounded Fantastic for a Turbo ... he was only going 60km .. Now all You need is a Special Matching Set ... in 1994 Ducati made 300 Legendary Bikes after Senna ... the 916 which is Grey with a contrast Red Frame n Wheels . . .Beautiful Machine ...Thank You for Sharing ... My birthday was yesterday on the 25th. This video is the best thing I received. Also I'm really sad the the TDF is no longer in the collection. Lastly, the Performante comparison really drove in the insane amount of down force. I own a Performante so I know what that's like. I can't imagine more than double that value feels like.

I fell in love with this very car when I watched your first video on it. As soon as I saw it advertised it was straight onto my lotto wish list (yes it's the only way I will ever afford one). I didn't think you could get more enthusiastic about this car as you were the first time but you hit it out of the park this time. I look forward to your plans for track time but I suggest this one should be a long-term keeper because I believe their value will go up.
