Census Scams Press Conference

Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh joined AARP Maryland representatives and U.S. Census Bureau officials at a press conference to discuss the safety and security of the 2020 Census and urge residents to be vigilant against Census fraud.
Attorney General Frosh, AARP Maryland President Jim Campbell, and Thomas F. Coogan, Jr. from the U.S. Census Bureau will discuss how to recognize legitimate outreach efforts through the U.S. Mail, online, over the phone, in person, through literature dropped-off at homes, and in the community. They will also share information on how to spot Census scams, and what to do if someone believes they or their loved ones have been victimized.
