@chungusultimate he now does lower damage to heros with armor and his punch can't send tanks far at all also orissa and roadhog are much better now
@@chungusultimate his punch is much less effective vs tanks because of the cc changes, and he doesn’t have armor so he’ll have a harder time vs tanks that do have armor

How you do corner hooks?
Turn opposite direction then turn the other direction
You swing them the other direction first.
I suggest slowing down the video to .5 or .25 so you can see exactly what he does. I've picked up so much doing that, the comments from opponents who don't know that can happen are delicious.
Trace the movement you want the hooked enemy to take on his way to you. So out away from the wall, down around it, and back up on the side against the wall.

I have played Hog every session I’ve played OW2 for the past 2 weeks, and I’m still having days where I struggle poorly
Even the best hogs have low hook accuracy matches sometimes just be honest with yourself and swap when you need to. Practice makes perfect.
Just lots of practice there's always gonna be days where the hooks are just not hitting and other days where you just can't miss

Like the comment above me said, yesterday i had an 86% hook accuracy in GM , today i had a 30% hook accuracy in masters.
You get bad days , you get good days.
patience when hooking. Sometimes it gets telegraphed that you’re only looking for hooks. I also try to have 3 or more rounds before I hook so I never get stuck in a reload animation after I do a follow up shot.
hog is badly designed for a shotgun hero. he gets countered by people ganging him up. unlike junker queen who can just press e to deal damage while healing and having the same thing be on low cooldown on multiple enemies hit.
hog isnt your usual brawly shotgun hero he's more of your looking for an opening assasin type. which is why his design is so ass in ow2 compared to being only a little ass in ow1. He punishes rotations so he doesnt have to be put in a brawly situation. people dont like that because when you rotate they think you're supposed to be safe since your team is with you but thats hog's forte. the widowmaker of the tank role. they hate it. not all shotgun heroes need to brawl, its why his breather doesnt let him shoot unlike queen's shout and passive lets her heal slightly and shoot.
Yesterday I whole hogged a junker queen and she flew back like 5 feet 😭

It's a lot of little things added up
Getting better at hooks, especially turning around a corner, managing heals since that's your main form of survival and try not to just use all of it in one shot
And just lots of practice vs counters
learn where to position your crosshair on squishies. you dont always need trap.
learn to play corners and know that your presence demands respect so everyone is going to gun you down not just because you dont have a shield but because you are one of the more threatening tanks when ignored. getting a pick is sometimes enough for hog to take space. I dont like "dirt" but he has the hog breather down pat. id watch him so you dont over use it or under use it. Your ultimate is kinda dookie ass so use it to burn tanks and make space for you to take. your trap is to help with mobile tanks. dva is lowkey slept on rn which is funny since flats always whines and complains that orisa hog and mauga are in the shadows but its actually dva and winston. mauga is NOT your counter you counter him. just play his cooldowns.
Hog is one of those heroes that people say are boring because you need to be more patient than others but also has the chance to straight shut things down with a complete elim. he's like widow but every 6 seconds every 20 meters or around 60 feet. Play safer than most and stay cautious. if you watch cyx which you are you will notice he is usually staring at cover a lot to try and not soak up damage and he punishes rotations which is what hog excels at. Players hate that because they think in a rotation you should be safe but that is quite literally your most vulnerable. unfortunately i range from gm2 to m1 because i personally am not the most consistent but thats due to ego issues lmao. good luck on your journey.
I've been playing Hog for 1k++ hours. My suggestion is, you must get used to predict enemy movement, because hook is a projectile, it has travel time. For me, predicting the direction of enemy's next movement is everything, then you can land the combo : Shoot + Hook + Shoot + Melee

How long you played has nothing to do with it, I've played since the game came out in 2016 and I think 5v5 is way better...sooo.
6v6 Is dead and never coming back so just let it go. One of the biggest problems is there's not enough tank players.

NEXT patch: when healers spot a tank, they gain +15% healing done for 5 seconds. When Dps headshot another dps, their movement speed+15%, buff called "Smell of blood". Tanks gain a special shield called electrodes, that explode for 10% enemy health damage when broken
New players -40%
Next patch : healer gain 1 overhealth for every degree their camera move, dps gain a +2 % * Pi damage boost for every meter they are above their target and when a tank press tab, it closes their eyes and they can't be headshot

turning after a hook so the character is in front of hog after the hook. he is placing brig in the corner so she gets body blocked

Honestly its sad to see tank become a hollow shell of its former self. The exact same gameplay for the past year on his videos. No hooking into ball mines, no wholehoggin into zar grav, no hooking into Orisas pull (which is still possible with her ultimate). Tanking has just become so 1 dimensional its pathetic

@sebastianrodriguez8992 We really calling tanks like Sigma one dimensional? The issue with ow1 tanks were they were releasing ow2 style tanks (sigma) in ow1 and it ruined the balance, they did ow2 right when they made Ramattra but then fucked it up when they released Mauga
You're a weird individual if you think tanks having synergies made them non one dimensional but only having 1 tank in ow1 that is either a damage sponge or a big dps isn't one dimensional

True, 5v5 grazers won't admit it because they don't actually know what was wrong with the game because they just parrot what others say, people calling tanking in ow1 one dimensional is cute when Tank in ow2 is as underplayed as it was in 1 but was made 1 tank only to combat queue times
Only quick games you see in higher ranks is bc of the tank mains, love seeing the same 15 people in my matches, quick queues but stale games, exactly what makes overwatch fun

They removed all mythic skins bc rn there’s a glitch where if you equipped any mythic skin your game crashes and it counts as an penalty leaving your match
