I thought it was just here where I am that everything is dead or drying up. Oh my! I'm in Northern Idaho and it's been in the 100's, up to 110 degrees for almost 4 weeks now. It's been a very hot summer. We usually don't get this hot until August but it has been this hot since middle of June. No rain for a month and a half either, so everything here is so dry, that's why we have fires all around us right now. Our cedar trees in our neighborhood are all dying. I have trees out in the front yard that are dying, even though we water every night. It's horrible. Looks like your plants are growing back which is good, our's just dried up and died.

Oh that sounds so tough... when trees are dying like that it must mean that the soil is dry really far down. It gets too hot and too dry in so many places now. In France they had too much rain for months but then it is followed by periods of drought that last too long.
