You never have to justify or apologize EVER. Trolls are just apart of this culture and the less attention they receive the more they fade. You be you ❤
I'm one of the humans that finds you exceptionally hilarious. I appreciate the straightforward, real nature you offer. I also LOVE your voice :) Keep being you! it's so wonderful. I also love your projects. You make so many awesome things. I am truly honored that you actually watched one of my vlogmases! I enjoy making them a lot.
YOU DO YOU!!! Your voice, your look, your content…..is YOURS! If someone doesn’t like any part of your podcasts, they can just TURN IT OFF! Don’t apologize or “explain” to anyone. I’m 75 years old, and i have finally learned that it’s ok to tell haters to go somewhere else! ❤️❤️🎄⛄️❄️🤶🏻🎅🏻
Girl! I don't care what people say! Your voice is just fine. People are annoyed, simple don't watch. You are who you are God created you the way you are this is it, you are a gift. If people can't see you as that oh well. Please continue to be you, with your unique voice and all the lovely things that make you. Thank you for sharing the gift of you.
You are the MOST glamorous, graceful and unique knitting UA-camr out there. Don't let 'em dim your shine. Hello to the iconic shot of you and your stash in the tub. Nobody's topping that, ever.
Gina, you are fabulous!! I absolutely LOVE your humour, realness and kindness. The love you have for this community is very obvious and I love you for sharing your adventures and misadventures. 🥰 😘
Those Reddit people are the worst thing about the internet and knitting podcasts are the best thing! Thank you for putting yourself out there with your beautiful knits and beautiful self. You’re not able to hide behind a fake name and that takes so much courage. I love the knits you knit, the yarns you dye and your honest take on things. Thank you!
Please, please don’t apologize for anything. WE LOVE YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! THAT IS WHY WE WATCHED YOU. Don’t pay attention. People don’t have anything else better to do. LOVE YOU❤❤❤🎄🎄🎄
Don't change for anyone. If people don't like it, well they have choices! I enjoy hearing different perspectives and learning new things, whether I agree or not. Your colorways are gorgeous btw!
My goodness. Don’t people have anything else to do. You are just perfect. I love hearing your vlogs I felt you were honest in your review. This is your Vlog!
I saw somewhere (maybe Stephen west) that to make an looser cord edge, after you knit the three I cord edge stitches put, slip them back to the opposite needle and knit them again, then knit the rest of the row. Only do this after few rows. It helps the I cord turn out looser.
Just adore listening to your complete stream of consciousness!!!! You are the best! And your mom! She’s beautiful! How lovely to meet her. Hugs friend!❤️
Loved listening and seeing everything you are working on and dyeing! For what it’s worth, I’m a very sensitive person and I didn’t take your other episode in any negative light. You keep it real and add levity, which is one reason why I love watching you. In terms of vlogmas, “another knitting pod” is always my favorite!
I’m very sorry about the negative comments that you received. I always enjoy your podcasts and found your Wool and Folk comments spot on. You have a wonderful and devoted following. Have a wonderful holiday.
I am a southerner transplanted to the Midwest. Sometimes I think people don’t get southern humor - it is all about telling stories, and looking at life through the lens of seeing the humor in it all. I totally get you, and love what makes you uniquely you. Have a great holiday!
Gina, you are so funny and your honesty is refreshing, I don’t think you need to explain yourself or apologize to anyone. I don’t watch vlogmas videos anymore, I find them boring. I love your idea of secretly packing so you can wisk the family off on a surprise vacation. Have a very Happy Christmas!
I love you just the way you are. You tell it like it is - sometimes brutally honest and that’s what I most like about you and your podcast. That big fuzzy yarn you’re knitting in a sweater is going to be so warm. I’d knit it into a hat -lots of them. But you do you.
I adore you! I’m here for your stream of consciousness! Yay for the new fluff. Can’t wait to get that from your shop, if you decide to offer it even on a limited basis! Speckles would be divine! So glad Ben has been home more. Our college freshman has been home for weeks now. 😊
Can’t please everyone ya know. You are great and we watch you because we all think you are wonderful. Keep going just the way you are because that is the reason I watch you. Your knitting also. Lol
I love your voice, your humor, your knitting style etc! You remind me of my Aunt Sugar, right down to her voice and I adored her and so did everyone else. (Her given name was Melita but her husband called her Sugar and so did everyone else.) Please keep doing everything the same and keep showing up as the Gina we all love and know! Merry Christmas!
People are so easily offended these days. It was kind of you to humbly apologize for possibly hurting others feelings; but for goodness sake you are permitted to have you own feelings and opinions. I think you are great and brave for showing up for this community and for sharing yourself, your knitting and your struggles. I myself am struggling with many of the issues that you discuss so freely in you podcasts...like *empty nest and menopause* and just generally getting older. It's so nice to feel seen and validated for similar feelings and life changes. I think you are hysterical and I love your snark. It must be hard to put yourself forward and get negative feedback. Unfortunately, I think negative and critical feedback is what's "in" these days...it's what keeps people reading...which is a shame because it seems to drown out the positives. Anyway, keep your head up, keep smiling and just keep being you.
I was listening to a podcast today ~ ‘Wiser than Me’ with Julia Louis-Dreyfus interviewing Fran Lebowitz. Fran said “it’s not complaining, It’s being honest”. I appreciate your honesty in all your podcasts and your honesty about your experience at Wool & Folk was refreshing and sincere to me. Keep on being you!
Just bought the Christmas sock cast on, and I am very excited for the gorgeous socks it will make! I enjoy your podcast and don't find your voice annoying at all. I love your humor, don't stop being you!
Chiagoo needles have the best cables, so a cable makes a big difference with socks. Also, to eliminate ladders, pull your second stitch on each needle to tighten up ladder...or maybe you are pulling too tight, that can make a ladder too.
Such a pleasure to see you back on UA-cam, I’ve missed you! I really do enjoy your knitting podcast, your humour and your no nonsense take on life. Have a great holiday time with your loved ones! 🧶🎄
I thoroughly enjoy your podcasts. You are genuine. The information you provided on Woolfolk was on point with what I was hearing, reading from others. Be yourself. Don’t dwell on the negative. Keep being the creative person you are!
You never have to apologize. We come here to hear you, just as you are. We love your content and your beautiful knits and yarn. That's the problem with the internet, everyone thinks we all need to hear their opinion of everything. We don't. Unless you have something nice or constructive to say, just don't bother to get on here and make peoples day, miserable. On a happy note. I've been watching Miralisa of Girl Meets Yarn. open up your David Bowie advent, and WOW! You knocked it out of the park! The names you used along with the amazing yarn colors. And the box! Wow, again! You have a wonderful eye for color. I'm crocheting 10 Wild Oleander Scarfs for presents. I also bought the Coorie In Poncho pattern because of Girl Meets Yarn. That's probably next. Have a Merry Christmas!
Thanks for a nice break on a busy day :) Regarding the Halibut, you could try crocheting around the neck on the round where you change from ribbing to stockinette stitch - I find it tightens up the neck beautifully, without being too obvious (since you still have the original cast on edge on top).
Wow your sock skein set with the matching scarf is well done. You are so creative and deliver such a comprehensive product with your David Bowie advent being a stunner. And don’t be apologetic in your craft. You don’t owe anyone that in a craft community.
Love your Halibut and Nightshift your amazing knttter and dyer. We all can't do everything. you have skills girl please don't get so down on yourself about socks and podcasting you do amazing job! Remember God made you perfectly just as you are❤ love you girl
For whatever it’s worth, I drop everything and watch as soon as you post a video. Yours is one of my favorites. Your candor and humor are so refreshing! Thanks for the pep talk about cardio. I’ve gotten lazy and need to get back to my routine. One Vlogmas that I enjoy is For the Love of Knit. She’s a Canadian who is living part of the year in Spain. Every day is a little different, and she talks about and shows us some of the area she’s living in, as well as what she’s doing to furnish her new condo. 😊
Thanks for the pod, it was great👏🏼I love you just the way you are! I hope you let us know what your watching and reading, always such good recommendations!
Gina, I have been watching you for years, and find your point of view wonderful. ❣️ Personally, anyone who doesn't think you are amazing isn't anyone I would be interested in knowing. 😜 And your yarn is wonderful and has nary a speck of cat hair on it. I am extremely allergic to cats and have actually gotten itchy from yarn that's been in the vicinity of cats in the past, and I have had absolutely no reaction at all when knitting with yarn you have dyed. ❣️ Love your idea of packing up your family and taking them on a surprise trip! I am enjoying watching Lena, of Another Knitting Pod. Happy Holidays! ⚘️
Vlogmas, my north knit corner-Norway, fibre bound- Australia, annijuta knits- Finnish. And Danish musings is a favourite, but she is not doing vlogmas. Well done on the fancy Bowie advent, very nice! Happy holidays, I am knitting the same sock advent, and keep going, just getting to the fun colours! You made me question my sock knitting, I did not see any ladders, gonna go see if you have any sock advent cast on for Christmas Eve left, doubt it. Happy New Year, and thanks for the running inspiration, might do that again, in the new year!
I love it when you podcast, your just so real and genuine. Cant stand trolls. Frig ‘em! Love your yarns too, such beautiful color combos too. Thanks for the vlogmas referrals, I watch most of them already but I also watch “a lovely yarn” very good. Cheers! Happy Holidays!❤🎄🎅
I love your sense of humor, your tangents, your honesty, your realness - it's refreshing. You're fabulous - period! Screw the trolls! I'm knitting a cowl (or maybe a scarf with fringe on the ends) in a tube with Suburban Stitcher's pink Christmas advent and loving the simplicity of it and letting the yarn shine. I've been watching many of the same advents, and Maressa Made is another one I really love. She's honest and real also! Merry Christmas and I hope you and your family have a healthy and happy new year! ❤💚
You are wonderful. I love when one of your podcasts comes up on my feed. Never change. Your humour cracks me up every episode 😂❤❤❤. The one vlogmas I adore that you didn’t mention is Finnish Knitting Stories with Jana. She is lots of fun. Makes me want to move to Finland! Happy Holidays to you ❤❤❤
Have enjoyed watching Jen Geigley, Beth MacDonald Stone, Another Knitting Pod, Mostly Knitting, KnitLA55, Knitting A Good Yarn, & The Modern Skein. Whew! But truly, yours are my favorite 🎉
Hi Gina, I’ve seen your Bowie Advent calendar on Marilissa’s channel and I love it! So creative and fun. The titles always bring the music to my mind 🤣. Your color scheme is beautiful as well. Wish I had a clue and bought one. I’m sorry you’re over making them. You rocked it this year! 💕🧶
For vlogmas, I recommend Traveling Miss knits. From denmark but she has a home in northern Italy and a son and family living in Dallas. Right now she’s at home in Denmark so you get their life 😮there and her knitting and crocheting. Not too long and not a lot of dead time.
Love love love your big birdie type yarn. It is a hard yarn to buy. I like to wear a button down shirt that peaks out the bottom of any shedding sweater. A turtleneck works too. ❤
Hi, I often wish you lived next door so we could knit and hang. I rue the day that someone pointed me to craft snark on Reddit. I wasn’t at Rhinebeck this year so I was eager to hear how it all went down. I worked for Wool and Folk THE YEAR BEFORE, the 2nd year behind the scenes doing social media, graphics, organization, a ton of stuff so I wanted to know what had happened. But the nastiness of Reddit - combined with the anonymous nature of the posts = train wreck. I love all your podcasts, have enjoyed giving you a quick hug when I see you - come to CA, I live on the water and have a sweet guest room. Cheers - Trish
I love your voice! I’m sorry you had to see the ugly side of Reddit. My staff warned me not to go on there but I didn’t listen. I read some hilarious misinformation about me. According to some commentators I am a middle-age Asian “hoochie” mama who is milk heiress from Singapore. I had to look up what “hoochie” meant. I really enjoy your refreshing podcasts and found the one about W&F very informative and entertaining. Keep rocking on Gina!
That’s outrageously hilarious! I’m glad you are laughing about it! I hope you added “sometime middle aged hoochie mamma who is a milk heiress from Singapore” to your bio.
Hi there, you are wonderful the way you are. I love your voice, it's a rock voice to me. I want to say that even me that i don't speak correctly your language i captured the spirit of the video regardless Rinenbeck, or however it's named. I love your humour.
Don't ever change for those people! I think it's dumb, flat out stupid, the same people who are being keyboard trolls/ think they're warriors criticize you, say rude things and then continue to try to shame you for saying something they don't like. Your video was spot on, and the truth you tell needs to be heard. So many are putting this façade on that everything is great, and it isn't always (aka, products, patterns, shows, etc.). In regards to that pattern! Had the same trouble, then I realized the main recipe was shown before the set- up rows, at that point, I was over it. It's really pretty, but I think it's really pretty because of those yarns she used. I worry speckle, micro striped, etc.. will get lost. You stay you, Gina! I think you're awesome. Will definitely encourage your advent because I need them, haha! I love the Birdie base, it's great in winter. - Kimberly
Happy Holidays! Shady Snark should be a new color way. It is too bad people don't get deadpan humor anymore. Never stop being honest. Your rogue sweater looks pretty. I've been watching Distant Stitches.
I Love your podcast. Love your Honesty and Humour. There’s nothing wrong with your Sock knitting, I use magic loop and get the ladders too, let’s face it once they are on your Feet ! Who Cares! They will flatten out with washing. Happy Christmas to You and Your Family xx❤
The shawl/ wrap with the weird name has a center DOUBLE decrease aka cdd, so should be decrease on each side in center. I frogged mine too, Icord was too tight too.
Love the way your Jackie shrug came out, can you tell me what yarn weight you used, needles size and how many stitches did you co. Thanks. By the way be yourself, you're just fine.
I have only watched you twice, but I have enjoyed your podcasts. I thought your Wool and Folk review was very honest. Don't worry about negative comments--people are always ready to give those. And, I think you are too hard on yourself. I am making the Eurphorbia Wrap, and that cdd decreases TWO stitches, so the even portion stays even. As for your socks, they look fine to me. You might want to alternate where your magic loop is placed so you don't have ladders. It's the same process as with sleeves. I have been watching For the Love of Knit and Knit, Sip, Happy Vlogmases. Have a happy holiday!
You’re doing just fine! So very real! I haven’t made Ambah’s shawl (nor do I have the pattern), but… is the decrease in the center a Vertical Double Decrease?? (sometimes called Central Double Dec) = 3 sts, and 2sts are decreased out. (3 sts decreased to 1). Perhaps that’s why your st count is still increasing by one? Hope that helps! You have beautiful projects, in progress or finished. Most all of your makes are ones that I aspire to make for myself! And I like to hear about problems, fit issues or whatever. Your socks are just fine. The laddering (which I couldn’t see) will disappear after washing. I LOVE my 9” circulars for socks! And DPs for heel (flap & gusset) and toes. Don’t give up on socks, so much fun! Thanks for all you do. Hi, Gina’s Mom!
Love day two colorway. Euphorbia is a plant! 😊 Stephan West has a video to prevent a tight I cord edge by sneaking in an extra I cord row every now and then.
and you can see not only where you got your looks but also your intelligence. Oh i make a vegan ricotta that is so good, you cannot even tell the difference really and i made it on accident, trying to figure out different ways of using the leftover pulp from homemade almond milk
I love the marling on your shrug! The only way I can do socks well is on 2 16" needles. For some reason, I have no ladders and it works really well. Don't give up! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Don’t give up on socks! Buy Chiaogoo’s Mini Twist sock set. The cords are sooooo thin and almost not there, and you just cannot get ladders. I make my socks two at a time, Magic Loop, Judy’s Magic Cast-on, usually toe-up. I use a 37” cord with the 5” needle tips, and there is plenty of room for the two socks at once. I just discovered your channel recently, and I really enjoy your approach to knitting and to life. I grew up in North Carolina near the VA border, and I get your humor. Not steel magnolia; maybe ninja magnolia?
You never have to justify or apologize EVER. Trolls are just apart of this culture and the less attention they receive the more they fade. You be you ❤
we are all different and unique, let’s keep it that way! that is why we watch these videos, to see different things.
Amen to that!
Well said!
I agree totally! If she doesn’t want to watch, no one’s holding a gun to her head! She needs to move on! Love you, Gena and just be you! ❤️

I think you are hysterically funny. When I watch your videos it's like visiting with an old friend.
Love that! ✨💕

Love love love the Christmas cast on skein - and that red mini is perfect❤️
My goodness. Don’t people have anything else to do. You are just perfect. I love hearing your vlogs I felt you were honest in your review. This is your Vlog!
Thank you Ursula! You are a great supporter of this channel and my yarn company and it really means a lot to me. 💕😘⭐️😘💕💕😘😘🙏🏻✨💝

Never Not Knitting RI was one of my favorite Vlogmases this year, along with Botanical Knitter.
Gina, don’t ever change! I love your sarcastic personality so much❤Haters will hate no matter what.
Gina, you are so funny and your honesty is refreshing, I don’t think you need to explain yourself or apologize to anyone. I don’t watch vlogmas videos anymore, I find them boring. Hey. You are my absolute favorite podcast. I kinda love you. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you too, friend! ⭐️😘⭐️😘💕
Hi Gina,
I’ve seen your Bowie Advent calendar on Marilissa’s channel and I love it!
Your voice is great love watching you.
Love love love your big birdie type yarn. It is a hard yarn to buy. I like to wear a button down shirt that peaks out the bottom of any shedding sweater. A turtleneck works too. ❤
Love how you say we, not that you have help.
I do have help. I have 2 helpers, actually… so I’m allowed to say ‘we’. Oh… and I force my husband to print labels. 😅
Please just be you. Love everything about your podcast. Best wishes-My Wonderful Knitting Life Podcast!
Loved your Wool and Folk rant. Camijoknits in Denmark does a lovely vlogmas too.
Would you ever do a Celeste sweater kit? I love the colors you chose!
Yes! 🙌🏼 🙌🏼❤️🔥
I think you are terrific!! 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️🎄🎄🎄🎄😍People are something else….seem to find negativity- they must be unhappy!
Thank you so much! 💕⭐️😘
Love you, Gina!
Love you, Tara! 😘🙏🏻⭐️
I thought your Rhinebeck recap was the most entertaining recap I watched I for one would buy big birdie with your speckles.
Hi there, you are wonderful the way you are. I love your voice, it's a rock voice to me. I want to say that even me that i don't speak correctly your language i captured the spirit of the video regardless Rinenbeck, or however it's named. I love your humour.
I think you are hilarious 😂 ❤
Your taste is impeccable and I for one enjoy your candor. I’m not much for vlogmas but I am really enjoying the one by Jen Geigley knits.
Thank you so much! 💕⭐️😘
You may enjoy CamijoKnit Designs. She is also a yarn dyer who dyed in her home until recently. She has a studio space outside of her home now.
- Kimberly
Thank you, friend!!!! You are a great supporter of my yarn and podcast! I appreciate you so much! 💕⭐️😘⭐️💕

Happy Holidays! Shady Snark should be a new color way. It is too bad people don't get deadpan humor anymore. Never stop being honest. Your rogue sweater looks pretty. I've been watching Distant Stitches.
Happy holidays!
Love your Night Shift!!!
Love the shawl
I don't like magic loop. I prefer using two circulars. It's much easier to move beginning stitch which eliminates ladders.
You’re doing just fine! So very real!
I haven’t made Ambah’s shawl (nor do I have the pattern), but… is the decrease in the center a Vertical Double Decrease?? (sometimes called Central Double Dec)
= 3 sts, and 2sts are decreased out.
Thank you! ⭐️😘⭐️😘⭐️😘⭐️⭐️😘⭐️⭐️⭐️😘⭐️⭐️
Gina!!! Where did you get that beautiful blouse? Love your video and content of course and that blouse is stunning on you!
Merry Christmas Dora!!!! 😘💕⭐️😘💕😘⭐️
Love your sweater
