  • Seven tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) started as a research tool 20 years ago. With its ultra-high resolution and brilliant contrast, scientists saw things they could not see before. Thanks to ongoing MRI development, smart inventions, and brilliant brains, the advanced MRI technology is now ready to benefit patients in clinical routine in neurology and musculoskeletal imaging. Meet the team that brought 7T MRI technology to clinical use and learn about the challenges they needed to overcome.

    Congratulations👏
But why there is a inhomogenity in conventional 7T?

Because magnetic fields diverge and are stronger near current, and weaken as you go further away. This means high B-fields are easy in tiny spaces, and difficult (i.e., requires more current) over large volumes. Getting a high-B field on your knee is cake. On the chest, much harder task.

You need to let customers who has these so that you can get $$$. Discuss voxel sizes.
Posting about it here with generic "it's the latest..." won't translate into as many sales.

Does anybody knows if there are 7T MRI for clinic use already in Europe? Not only for investigations in universities, but for medical use. Thank you!!
