I am 63, and I will never let a medical provider dismiss my concerns. God Bless your sister. She is now on my prayer list. I know that she is lucky to have you in her corner!! I have this colonoscopy upper/lower GI. It’s painful I like stop . I can’t swallow my food it gets stuck. I like stopped fecal function and then it’ll be diarrhea. It hurts where my cramps used to be/menstrual. Had all plumbing removed. Any answers suggestions please help me understand. Should I be worried? Please anyone any suggestions, thank you. ❤also bad smelling fecal matter, breath, and it’s just awful! I bathe daily but can’t smell good at all anymore. HELP
Not sure how I got colon cancer, but I'm never going to drink again, I am trying to eat better, but it's not easy when you're use to junk food, fast food, 6 months of chemo put mine in remission, thanks and hope you get better also. Always have positive thoughts.
When I went to my primary doctor, complaining about blood in my stool, and that I felt a ball like object in my rectum. He did a prostate finger exam and then said it's probably hemmroids .I felt like it was something more. I got a second opinion, and this doctor did a colonoscopy and found the mass, then did a biopsy and confirmed it was stage 3 colonrectal cancer. This was 2019,you have to be your own advocate. I pray for you to beat this beast called CANCER.

It’s very important you do your own research regarding the role sugar/carbohydrates - because carbs are complex form of sugar - play with cancer. Keto is a great choice to help your body to heal, recover and hopefully prevent cancer from returning. Talk with your doctor though.
The dye red 40 (read the ingredients) is also linked to colon cancer. New study says Sugar and starches feed cancer. About 15 yrs. ago my unc was dying of cancer and didn't want to quit smoking. I said it's the ciggs that got you here, so eat for strength, he said its not me smoking its the Food! I was confused, but now I see he was right in a way. Bad eating habits is deadly. I dealt with rectal bleeding for years and years. I finally got a colonoscopy done. It took a while to get it done because they wanted to do a top and bottom of colonoscopy and wanted cash money. I finally got it done and they said it was a hemmroid. Was still having bleeding problems. So i saw another doctor. She ordered another colonoscopy 60 days apart from the last one. You always get nervous because you hear things or know somebody who had cancer. I took the second colonoscopy and they said it was hemorrhoids. So now im just trying to shrink it or get rid of it. 🙏 to you and your family and im praying that God will heal you from this. ❤

Wow, my boyfriend was diagnosed in 2021 with colon cancer. Out of no where is stomach was hurting. A week later the pain wasn’t letting up. Then blood was in his stool. I remember it like yesterday. He and I went to the hospital on a Wednesday found out he had cancer on Saturday. It was stage 4. It spread to his liver. Polyps was found in his large intestine. He lived another year before he passed. Chemo wasn’t working and his body was weak after he had Covid to continue. I’m not sure how I made it Through. But God.
You’ve got an amazingly optimistic view of the world. I like your thoughts about it being ok to be emotional, angry, bitter, etc. But don’t stay there. Such good advice! I’m a 5yr stage 3c rectal cancer survivor and I struggle emotionally from time to time. Your optimism and gratefulness is much appreciated and valuable to see. Good luck with your future.

I was also told mine was hemorrhoids. Never had hemorrhoids before so I didn’t know any better. 3 months after I had my fifth child, I was diagnosed at 38 years old. All the skin in my pelvis area got 3rd degree burns from radiation. It’s been about 3 years since I been done with treatment and it’s a real mental rollercoaster bc IT IS ALWAYS in your mind it may come back. Anger DEFINITELY takes more energy out of you! As black ppl we need to educate ourselves about the signs and symptoms of cancer. Go online and read up on ur symptoms so that u can advocate for urself at the doctors office. Cancer has no age limit yes a type of cancer can predominantly affect a specific age group but there always outliers that don’t fall n2 the specific age group. The more informed yu are the more u can insist on care. Any rectal bleeding should immediately have an endoscopy and colonoscopy no mater ur age. Insist on it. Many hospitals have what is known as charity care for those without insurance
How often do we see this in our community? It’s usually stage 3 or 4 bc doctors fail to take our symptoms seriously. Thank you for sharing your story!!

Good morning sis I had stage 4 colon cancer also in 2011, I had blood in my stool for some years, I had been to several doctors told it hemorrhoids I told him it's nothing like that, I had the surgery and kemo I had liw blood count but thank's but to God Almighty He has healed me,it's 13 years now trust God I was surely sick I lost weight badly God is amazing pain in my bottom line to pass stool, I am going through

I just lost my beloved aunt to stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer last week and I saw my late grandmother battle colon cancer with colostomy bag in her early 70's . I must say that I'm not that strong and my will to fight cancer will be weak . I'm going through a lot of tell tell signs of the colon cancer right now and if my doctors diagnosed me with it I know I would refuse treatment of any kind so mine would be terminal but I'm ok with that because I know I would go in peace . I saw my Aunt recent fight last week before she transitioned and I don't want to go through the struggle she had with the chemo and radiation . I thank you for your inspirational story and I hope it reaches the masses of people that need to hear it to inspire them to fight through colon cancer because God is definitely using you to help them in their fight against this relentless disease. As black ppl we need to educate ourselves about the signs and symptoms of cancer. Go online and read up on ur symptoms so that u can advocate for urself at the doctors office. Cancer has no age limit yes a type of cancer can predominantly affect a specific age group but there always outliers that don’t fall n2 the specific age group. The more informed yu are the more u can insist on care. Any rectal bleeding should immediately have an endoscopy and colonoscopy no mater ur age. Insist on it. Many hospitals have what is known as charity care for those without insurance

Good morning sis I had stage 4 colon cancer also in 2011, I had blood in my stool for some years, I had been to several doctors told it hemorrhoids I told him it's nothing like that, I had the surgery and kemo I had liw blood count but thank's but to God Almighty He has healed me,it's 13 years now trust God I was surely sick I lost weight badly God is amazing pain in my bottom line to pass stool, I am going through

Roshanda, you are a strong person to go through all you have been through. I just lost my beloved aunt to stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer last week and I saw my late grandmother battle colon cancer with colostomy bag in her early 70's . I must say that I'm not that strong and my will to fight cancer will be weak . I'm going through a lot of tell tell signs of the colon cancer right now and if my doctors diagnosed me with it I know I would refuse treatment of any kind so mine would be terminal but I'm ok with that because I know I would go in peace . I saw my Aunt recent fight last week before she transitioned and I don't want to go through the struggle she had with the chemo and radiation . I thank you for your inspirational story and I hope it reaches the masses of people that need to hear it to inspire them to fight through colon cancer because God is definitely using you to help them in their fight against this relentless disease.
