Yeah, Melody does still play the bass on certain songs on stage. There's a fairly recent video clip of her doing just that. Just look thru their channel and it's one where they are on stage that's being amateurly filmed.
Great reaction this is one of my favorite covers to me this is better than the original by Black Sabbath. Melody adds her Dio influence to song.

I have to admit, it is my favourite cover from Liliac. Probably it is the darkest song, the lyrics are very meaningful (You mentioned it yourself), and Melody kills this one - she looks appropriately sincere here, her "Can you help me ?" looks straight into my eyes. Amazing !

She still plays bass but I guess they felt she should have more room singing I know she writes the bass parts she talked about writing the bass for the song vertigo
I love this earlier Liliac. This came out when I was 12. I love the harmonics in the beginning, not in original, and Sam's solo I like so much better than original. Melody says she plays the bass everyday. Plus I think she still writes the bass parts. Sadly, I do not do FB for personal reasons. Oh well, hope your friend is doing well. I liked the Reactir Rockin Wolf. He decided to stop doing reactions. I worry about him because he was battling depression I believe. I think and pray for him often. I think that they have been advised - or Melody felt the urge - to keep Melody as a lead singer and frontwoman. While that freed her for these tasks, it made Liliac lose the "second rhythmic guitar" and a great basswoman. If I agree with the general direction, I think that for some songs, Liliac lost a bit in the process. Not all songs need a very expressive and free singer... But sometimes, some songs would need a second guitar.
I agree they lost a bit. Melody is a solid bassist, and she still writes the bass lines anyway. Personally, I think the move is ill-advised. There is so much more they could do moving forward with her on bass and Sam/Ethan guitarists. Oh well, they still sound good, but they could be more; I see little need for a more animated singer when she can rock the bass instead.
@@jeffreyboyer3714 I would, personally, split 60-40%. There are songs where her body language, facial expression and hands add to the song (Mystery, Sail away, I Hate Myself, etc.). But other songs could be better served by the great basswoman that she is and a good rhythmic guitar by Ethan. But, hey, we are in our living room, they are the ones on stage...
@@GuylainPrince I'm with you. But I would like to see Ethan playing more guitar and NOT just rhythm. When I saw him playing that solo in "The Trooper" at 1st I didn't think he really was. Then I figured out his solo and saw right away that he did actually play that solo. For an 11 or 12 year old to play this good back then is a waste not to let him keep going. 2 guitarist are always a plus in a rock band. Melody play bass so well and looks the part with or without a bass in her hands. I think as time goes by they will get back to that way again.
I agree with all of you, and for some songs, like Master of Muppets, it sounds much fuller with the second guitar.
I heard recently from a fan (have no idea if it's true or not) that Justin is starting to learn the guitar.
So, if that ends up happening, maybe he'll pick up rhythm duties on songs that don't need keys, I don't know.
I keep thinking like Bert, that as they progress and age, eventually they'll change things up depending on the song, and Melody will grab the bass from time to time.
We shall see I guess.

I get a lot of flack for saying that this cover is better than the original but for my money it is. Ossie Osborne's version was terrific don't get me wrong but liliacs is simply better . Melody as I understand it still plays bass occasionally and is responsible for writing the bass parts of their songs and teaches them to Ethan .Fang4life Rock on and rock hard.
