Don't know if you're still on here or not; but I came across your channel. AWESOME! Don't know if you are or were from the Pittsburgh area, but a LOT of the ballads were played here. And they were in great demand. I know; because I owned a record store. So many of your ballads are collectable items. Even back in the 80's people were buying those ballads $20 & up. Terry Lee, Porky Chedwick, Mad Mike, Bob Livorio & so many others tried to out compete with unknown records. You have a BUNDLE of them. Can't wait to take my time & listen again. I had about 40K in my store & most of what you have. But I sold them in the 90's. But it's different in this day & age to see them popping up on UA-cam. Your site is the best by far. Plus I DJ'ed for 32 years. That's why I know a little bit about the music.
Great Post! I was more familiar with the record labels than most of the artists and or groups. That record by Freddie Fender, HOLY ONE, was a top five record here in OKC in 1960 but was on the Imperial Record label. Again, Great Post! Larry N. Boyington, aka Larry Neal, former curator of the Wax Museum on the big 1520 KOMA
I appreciate it! Just love sharing some of my favorite songs that I come across. Hope you found some good memories or perhaps some new songs in this playlist
