Wow, Anitra Walsh was an absolutely gorgeous woman. Sad to find that she passed away at only 32 years old.
I was just thinking Jill was smoking hot. It is sad she died so young. I couldn’t find the cause when I looked around.
Really sad.
@@ProBreakers It was due to a drug overdose, dude.
"A sitar? I can smell the patchouli through the TV." Best line ever.
lol :)
When I was young, I thought that a sitar was a guitar that had to be played seated- I knew what a key-tar was, so I assumed that it was something similar. Ignorance is only bliss until the first time someone laughs at you and makes you feel stupid. I love your videos- I hope they continue into “eterniteeeeee…”
You’re not wrong. I’ve never seen anybody playing one standing up.
@@spiff2268 You know what? Neither have I. Huh. Thanks for pointing that out, I never considered that!
Thanks!
It is called a SIT tar for a reason.
"She's not a witch, she's a millenial!" Nearly killed me. Possibly literally. I had a mouthful of water at the time, and while I didn't spew it out of my nose or anything, I think I felt something pop as I held it in. Well done!
This also looks familiar to me. The red book and the bits around the professors apartment especially. I guess I might've seen it at some point, but I'll be damned if I can remember anything about it. I have a terrible memory, though.
I thought that line was pretty hilarious too, & I'm a millennial! Lmao!!
:)
It also seems very Lovecraftian
Whoever shot a close-up of her feet squelching through all that mud knew _exactly_ what they were doing.
Why? Is that some kind of fetish or something?
You know it
@@kareningram6093 Yes. Feet combined with wet and messy. Not my thing but some people are very specifically into bare feet squishing in mud.
First film that Tarantino worked on.

"Forever into eternityyyyyyyyyyyyyyYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyy!" xD
Best line ever!
I'm so happy this is taking off :)
Glen Benton would be proud of those lyrics. I laughed out loud at that Deicide part 😂
Me too! 😂

I laughed I cried I sacrificed a baby to appease our dark Lord 🤘❤🤘
:)
"Forever into eternityyyyy" cracked me up. It reminded me of "Death to King Louieeeeee" from History of the World Part 1.
"We shall end this meet on a high note. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
"She's not a witch, she a millennial!"
LUL Millennials weren't around in the 1970s
The joke doesn't track. Millennials are the ones born from ~85-95, we know what rotary phones are... Well, the front half of us do. The Zoomers are the one's who wouldn't know a dialup modem sound if it bit them on the eardrum.
@@jjenk911 From 1977 to 1995. I would argue Millennials is one of the few gens that truly understood the progression of tech having lived through a great deal of it over the past 40 years.
That was classic LOL
I'm gonna have to watch this i think maybe its on Tubi or somewhere on youtube 🤔
you mad my day when you mentioned Deicide. I had forgotten all about them.
Regarding hanging vs burning witches: In the US, no witches (actual or accused) were ever burned. Most were hanged, one was crushed with rocks, others imprisoned indefinitely. The burnings occurred back in the old country.
And that guy that was crushed by rocks was a badass!
81 year old Giles Corey was sick of the bullshit and didn't confirm or deny if he was a witch after being accused and just kept saying "More weight" as they put more rocks on him. The dude was the epitome of no fux given
Hilerious commentary as always! “Forever innnntoooo eterniiiittteeeee!”
I’m glad he replayed this… too funny.
Thanks!
I just wanna say it warms my little heart when I see an update from this channel
hahha what is that credits song
@@ryans.1900 I know right!
:)
“She Love Lamp!” 😂. Maybe she’s a ancient ancestor of Brick from Anchorman?! 🤔😂
"Amish Vampires From Outer Space" Oh, hey, I own that book! Well, the Kindle version. Yes, really. It's actually pretty interesting.
This isn’t necessarily a compliment, but the actual film on this, not the movie itself, looks pretty good for 1970.
Good film stock and good color grading.
@@silvervalleystudios2486 also nobody ever really watched the movie so the print isn't worn out
“Speaking of witch.” I see what you did there! 🤘🏻💀
I am sneaky :)
That Deicide joke was really funny.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos!
Thanks!
Oh man, this was a treat. You are reaching MST3K-levels of hilarity on your reviews, good sir.
I can't think of higher praise.
I second this.
Thanks! Pretty high praise considering they have a team of writers and I'm just 1 guy. :)
Two Jon Lovitz appearances? Nice!
Director: "Now REALLY stress the 'eternity'!"
"Do you recognize this ancient symbol?"
"Yes, it's the number two."
Hey bro, this is random but just wanted to say your videos helped get me through a really hard time in my life. Every time I here the intro In reminded of those bad times and how these videos helped me cope. It's weird but nostalgic in a way. Keep doing what your doing.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm really happy that my videos were able to help. Hope things are better now :)
"I see they're properly disposing of Fifty Shades of Grey." Clip immediately sent to my girlfriend.
I am always amazed at how interesting and entertaining your videos are. Thanks for creating something that's so honest and full of passion.
Thank you!
That Deicide reference gets an instant like, sir
:)
Thanks for covering this, it's in my top 10 most days
5:18 The bird's alive!
Forever into eternity is a bit redundant.
Great video, as always. Bonus points for Deicide reference: 0:40.
The fact that the noose isn’t a prop but indeed an actual hangman’s noose makes me very nervous.
The red book was to blame, I knew those endangered species are up to something
great review Cecil....you made me laugh as always!
Thanks!
Thank you sir, I needed those laughs
You are welcome!
@@GoodBadFlicks no sir, thank you for this, you make my day and my movie library.
1:08 WTF?? 🤣
Another cool installment Cecil😎
Thanks!
Love the AViS shoutout! Got the whole trilogy... waiting for THAT movie to be made.
Oh, man. I didn't realize I was mispronouncing the word "eterniteeeEH" my entire life!
I feel like such a boob. :-[
Another of the very few that I've actually already watched. Any yet more bonus points for the Deicide reference! 😈 😆
:)
At least the first witch was given the chance to do her mascara before execution.
BTW, in most countries witches were hanged, not burnt.
Yeah I was about to say that this is the first movie I've seen in awhile to get the witch death right for once.
I know, I just wanted an excuse to show the bit from Monty Python
@@GoodBadFlicks - I can respect that.
Good afternoon dude, thank you for the best thing about dreaded Mondays. Have a super rad day sir.
Thanks! You too!
Every head of hair in this movie look like they could deflect bullets, or even lasers.
'Amish Vampires in Space' is an entertaining book. For such an odd title / premise, the Amish are portrayed much more accurately than you might think.
The end of the video was great, bruv. GOOD SHIT
Thanks!
Greatest ending to a GBF video ever.
:)
This doesn't look half bad, and Alicia Witch is pretty 🔥 really. What also really amazes me, is that after more than 10 years you still find fresh old flicks to entertain and suggest us. The movie industry is almost as prolific as the music scene, I sincerely hope this lengthy amount of visual art doesn't get lost and the future generations will still be able to enjoy it, and I mean the real future!🔮Like centuries ahead of us, after people stop pillaging in Rob Halford attire and civilization restarts.. 😅
Thanks! I still have thousands of movies to cover so I don't think I'll be running out anytime soon :)
Love the deicide reference 🤘
04:17 *CULT OF THORN CONFIRMED*
"She starts spouting some Deicide lyrics."🤘 😂 🤘
" She's not a witch, she's a millennial! "
:)
Cool 70's witch film , just with a WTF ending that made said WHAAAAATTTT? By the way you used the VVitch 2016 Black Philip voice-over was spot on.
:)
4:28 goddamit there goes my coffee... that's a good one Cecil lol
I'm doing my job :)
I always enjoy your jokes but today you were super funny.
Thanks!
The riffs in this one were golden! "Oh, so you're an English major?" 😂
Thanks!
Top tier ending
It felt right :)
I love that episode of the critic
The Power of Disco Compels You
The Power of Disco Compels You
Thats a good one!
Wile E. Coyote caught me off guard.
Great ending and an entertaining video as always.
Thanks!
Is this the movie Anna Biller had in mind when she was making THE LOVE WITCH?
I swear, Samantha Robinson could walk right into a scene and nobody would notice....
Now that you mention it, I'm thinking you may be on to something
With all the John Lovitz reference's you have made....one question remains..."Did it Stink?"
Okay just looked it up "Amish Vampires in Space" is a real book... And the most random idea ever.
A guy I work with had the audio version of the book on his phone. I guess it's something else.
Its also a trilogy!
That’d have been awesome if he just lied to her about how to rule the world and she just ended up making him sandwiches and darning his socks.
"Mark of the Witch" is a 1970 horror film..." Because of course it is. That first gal was really working those false eyelashes, too.
It was a storyline worthy of being on the original Dark Shadows. In fact, I think it was a storyline on that show.
A "witch's brew" joke? Bravo!!
Thanks!
Thanks for the review, Cecil. I recently saw this film and I agree that it's a decent film for the time that it was made. At first, I was confusing this title with "Mark Of The Devil", which came out the same year and was much more controversial. Imagine my surprise that this film didn't seem controversial at all. I realized my confusion about halfway through watching Mark Of The Witch.
This is the most 70's thing ever made.
"Suddenly, she starts spouting Deicide lyrics..."
Dude, if I could sub again, I would. :)
\m/ :)
So good!!! Wish it was longer 😂
Fun Fact: The Thirty Years War also started in 1618 and ended in 1648.
Can you do an Exploring on Surviving The Game?
It's an okay movie and Anitra Walsh killed it and we lost her too soon.
Wow! The actress who played Jill is really gorgeous! And she did a great job being possessed by a witch! It is a shame she didn't do more films! I can see she had potential! Other than that, the plot to this movie, isn't really that bad. Like Cecil said, it just wasn't executed very well. But still a good movie! Not bad. Great video man! Sorry I'm late watching this one lol but I'm glad I finally saw it!!
Thanks! Yeah, she was really pretty and did a solid job of playing the naive girl who gets possessed. I found out after I put out the video that she died very young. Really sad.
@@GoodBadFlicks Aw dang! Bless her heart! Now I'm even more greatful that you reviewed this movie! She deserves more attention!
Darn it! I *_so_* wanted to see the leaf-diddling scene! (I think...)
I think the movie is on Tubi if you really want to see it. Its not too graphic, just too graphic for UA-cam
This reminded me a bit of the Love Witch.
@0:47 I didn't know glen Benton was a screen writer!
Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Great video as usual..I was recently watching a movie called Devil Story on Tubi..and immediately thought of your channel. You would have a field day with that film..😂
Thanks! I'll check it out :)
Banged by Bigfoot. Okay, I kind of want to read that book now, but probably not for any of the reasons the author wrote it.
“Whatevs” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣‼️‼️‼️
1:46 which party? I heard there was a doctor, but I forgot who it was.
9:13 actually… that’s kind of neat. It’s akin to *The Keep* in the sense that in order to defeat the evil, you have to sacrifice your life. I look at it as her soul snapping back to her moment of death, and the price was him dying with her/experiencing her death.
Everybody in the 70s looked like they smelled like a bag of chilli cheese Fritos.
Chili cheese? What witchcraft is this!?!?!?
Just the notification I needed! First off, I love the channel and have been subbed for years. Secondly, this is kinda random but can you recommend any films from the 70s and 80s that have early and slightly cheesy VFX like the shields from Dune 1984 or Tron? I'm working on VFX for a music video and I'm trying to build up some references and you seem like the go-to guy for this question.
Thats a good request. I dont think many movies had the budget for that during that time. D15ney and thr studio that put out dune....thats a solid request. Im a child of the 80s love those vfx but i cant think of anything else.
Cecil is the master though i bet he has 10 for you! Good luck
Youve probably seen Star Crash and Flash Gordon. They're the only two I can think of with those kind of 70s type special effects. Also Saturn 3 with Harvey Kietel might have some. Dont remember much of that movie but it does have that 70s campy scifi effects vibe.
The Last StarFighter 1984.
I'll take a look, thank you for the responses!
Thanks! I'd say anything from the Corman Alien/Star Wars knockoffs. Battle Beyond the Stars, Forbidden World, Star Crash, Space Raiders, Star Crystal, and Galaxy of Terror. Then you have stuff like Metalstorm, Spacehunter, Robot Jox and many of the films from Empire. Hope that helps!
Forever intoooo eterniteeeee...
"Sometimes, things end when it makes the most sense, and don't need to be drug out any further."
The opposite of The Simpsons and South Park.
Heh heh…. _drug_
I was just a baby when this came out.
love that ending 😆
Proper disposal of 50 shades books requires a match and some sort of accelerant..
Lol, people in the 1600’s knew what coffee is.
The gitchiest? Thanks for introducing me to the word, “gitchy.”
It's "ginchiest" a term that was somewhat popular in the 70s. I first heard it on MST3k and then later looked into where it came from. Felt like the right place to use it here. :)
@@GoodBadFlicks Thanks. “Ginchiest” does make sense for the context of the video. But, surprisingly, there is a word such as “gitchy.” I learned it after I Googled “gitchiest” while watching this video. So thanks for teaching me two new words!
Is that Terry O'Quinn as the hangman?
The irony is that the burning of witches was exceedingly rare. Nowhere near as prolific as people think. Historically the vast majority accused of witchcraft were actually acquitted, and those who were condemned were not burnt at the stake, they were indeed hanged. So the opening actually is by accident more in line with history.
"Sexy" death will always gain more notoriety in culture, even if it was exceedingly rare
So...when's Amish Vampires in Space getting a cinematic universe?
Believe it or not, its a trilogy
@@GoodBadFlicks Why would you tell me that...WHY WOULD YOU TELL ME THAT!?
That Red Book is definitely written by Carl Jung.
Is it just me or did the show CHiPs use the same font as the opening credits?
It's not you.
As a millennial that owns a rotary phone I'm offended by your ignorant portrayal of my generation :p
(Fabulous vid as always Cecil, loved it
Thanks!
This looks like it may be worth checking out, if I ever caught it on TCM underground, lol. I don't know if I'd spend money on a physical media release, lol. Speaking of Return to Boggy Creek, both it & the legend of Boggy Creek deserve future exploring episodes.
She really hates that man having any pets!
Thumbs up just for the Deicide lyrics reference.
