I hope it is as beautiful a day where you are as it is where I am 😁 (I can't say that fast lol) This week, well, really this whole last couple of years, but this week, in particular, has really highlighted the reality that time is not what we think it is lol and that a sense of irony is critical to remaining/becoming sane. I dove into recordings of Alan W. Watts and some videos by Jeremy Sherman: I found a deeper understanding of my parents, more memories to dissect and analyze and a definition and description of the attitude and mind-set I stumbled along for years to find and foster. Fallibilism is the term. While I listened to a recording of Mr. Watts made at a time when pivotal things were happening in my family life, that were directly inspired by him, through his writing and lectures... put simply, I returned to a time and place that passed long ago and understood my father in an incredibly viceral way. Time and space didn't dim any of the memories or feelings and, even though he's no longer among the living, the reality of my father's existence and experience still IS. Ah, words...they seek to contain and define things boundless and better pointed to than spoken of lol It's been emotional 🙂 the quest for self-control takes one to hazardous internal landscapes😏 It's such a lovely surprise when you say hello 🤗 thanks 💛☮️
