Luka looked SUPER sad to the point of it being concerning. On a positive note, his face LIT UP when JJ came over at 34:05. I’m glad he’ll have that familiarity and a friend there in his head coach, and hopefully he’ll help ease the blow of such a massive and shocking change.

Very excited to see him with us on the Lakers. You could see he's going through a lot rn and as anybody should. You've just been traded when you never in a million years would have thought that'd happen after buying a new house and everything in Dallas. Uprooting your life this quickly will do a lot to someone. I'm confident he's gonna love it in LA and love being a Laker.
Luka being a Laker is gonna benefit him both on and off the court. From being someone who's already a global superstar going to LA now to be on the most popular NBA team worldwide will drive up his market and fan base and he's gonna have plenty of opportunities to make money in LA besides just being a Laker such as in movies , partnerships , etc. Lastly i think what will probably be the most important for Luka is that he's on a franchise that's known as the gold standard and it's the most storied franchise in league. So many greats have put that jersey on and represented the Lakers and won championships from West to Wilt, to Worthy , Magic , Kareem , Shaq, Kobe, Gasol, Lebron, AD, and many others now Luka. I tnink this is the perfect place for Luka and he's gonna have a ton of motivation to be that next Lakers great and win a bunch of championships for Lakers.

AD is definitely an incredible player, but we're talking about trade value here. An aging, injury prone 31 year old for a MVP-tier, top 3, 25 year old is a no brainer.
