First and foremost, sure hope yer young one feels better fast. A new head horse, if that is the horse ya tried out for yer brother, I’d say buy her if the price is right. On that steer that hesitated coming out of the chute, obviously I couldn’t tell how hard ya had to pull up on her, but she looked like she really scored that steer well. I thought yer heading looked pretty good. Didn’t see ya miss, and the first rule in team roping is catch yer cattle. Heading…I don’t head any more, haven’t for quite some time. I’m old enough to tie on so all I do is heel now. I want to be able to count to ten every time I come out of the roping pen. Do you and yer brother plan to start roping as a team? Having a regular partner pays dividends at those pick one draw two 7s and 8.5s. A regular partner makes practice more fun as well. I haven’t said a single thing that y’all probably didn’t already know. We were on vacation, so only now had a chance to watch this video. Loved it! Looking forward to Saturday’s video.
Hey glad to hear from you! Honestly I didn’t have to pull her much to get her to score well. We ended up buying her and she has definitely been a very fun horse to rope off of since we got her! I’m still going to be heeling mostly, but y’all will see some heading videos for sure likewise!
Hey man, I just got into team roping, I’m from southwest Louisiana too lol. I have a heel horse. I was wondering if I could get some pointers from you. I didn’t know how to pm you so I figured I’d do it over the comments.
Hey buddy! Sorry for the delayed response but I would love to give you any pointers I could help with! If you’d like to shoot me a email I’d be happy to give you and help you need! louisianavloggers@gmail.com
Prayers for your little girl ... pretty horses!
Thank you so much! She is doing a lot better!
Looking forward to more roping...
Plenty more to come! I’m glad you enjoy it! Thank you!
