I do think when you’re on a diet for awhile foods with any level of sweetness or richness taste good. Back in the day I thought there was nothing better than snackwells! I’m glad these are available to people who desire them but also thankful that Ghirardelli’s exist.

Thank you for sharing the brownie info with us. If I’m going to have a piece of brownie, I’m spoiled, I’ll have a piece of Ghirardelli’s…delicious. The texture of the Halo doesn’t sound good to me .

Miss Jones makes a 50% reduced sugar with whole grains and clean ingredients. So good. Batch is small and they are fudgey but not pasty.
They do have monkfruit which I am normally not a fan of but did not notice it.
The batter is very thick as well and they don't really rise. But the flavor was spot on. :)

These sound ok for those needing to cut calories, but I’d prefer volume than just a small square as I know I wouldn’t be able to stop at one knowing there are twelve waiting to be eaten. Thanks for the review.

I replaced the oil with non fat Greek yogurt, put some mini chocolate chips, and put some liquid sweetener in the batter. I made 6 brownie muffins and they were very fudgey in the middle. However they were pretty good. 😊
The clips with the parchment paper is a game changer. Before the parchment was hard to use

Oh no. Everyone who wants a lower calorie option needs to go watch your Pillsbury sugar free brownies video and then go buy those. Those are terrific and I can barely tell the difference and they have the same calories/carb count as these. Oh well, at least Kevin didn't say these reminded him of chewing on a paper towel 😂 thanks for the review!

A meet in the middle solution I just tried is swapping the vegetable oil (which is really really not great for you anyways) with melted and cooled unsalted butter and add by placing 60-72% chocolate chips or chunks after putting batter in pan 2-3 pieces per brownie and they’re really good in my opinion. Butter regardless of calories is more bio available for your body to use as energy compared to essentially cotton oil (look up how they make vegetable oil y’all). Thank you guys for this review though it’s the only one I could find and letting me know what I’m getting into lol

I could be wrong but I think these may also be geared toward those on low carb as they use artificial sweetener and have an incredibly high fiber content… I agree with you tami… I’d rather work a piece of something I really enjoy into my diet than eat something that I wasn’t really happy about.

I've tried different lower calorie brownie mixes, and I was under that same illusion... For what they are, they're fine. But are they better? No way...
And I do the same regarding food. As a teen, I let calories control everything and even though I don't let myself do that anymore, it still wrecks my permanently damaged body and relationship with eating to this day. While it can be ok to diet, people need to be kind to themselves. For me, I'm still trying to learn. Hopefully one day, I can enjoy a normal brownie, and not feel bad! 😊

I’m surprised they didn’t rise normal. Rising agents are negligible in calories and the only difference here is the lower sugar. I agree. Smaller portions of the real thing are actually going to conquer a craving in the long run. The shame of marketing.
The caloric difference per box and gram is about half the difference.

Its clear you won’t fool anyone with these 😂 That being said, my mom always made the “no pudge!” Brand chocolate fudge brownies (they use yogurt) when I was little and I grew up liking them as well as typical full fat mixes 🤷🏻♀️ Just wish the No Pudge! Brand was more readily available 🙈 Although I think I’ll stick to Ghirardelli or Duncan Hines, I so appreciate your reviewing these for us!

If I’m craving a brownie, I’m not going to waste calories on a low calorie one that just ok...I’m going for the real deal. I’m very picky when it comes to brownies 😬

I too am extremely picky when it comes to brownies as well as cookies. Those are two things that I just cannot mess with. I can do the low-calorie cakes.. those are fine and other desserts, but do not mess with my cookies and my brownies.
I did however pick this up at the store and to the wet ingredients I omitted the egg for two egg yolks, the vegetable oil for butter,five drops of monk fruit liquid sweetener, and a teaspoon of browned butter extract I didn’t have any more instant espresso so let’s hope for the best.🤷🏾

I'll bet someone could add some sort of sweetener of their own to it (splenda, truvia etc) to make it better. Having said that, regular brownies would be better.

I was thinking it was thin when you were putting the batter in the pan and with it being healthy I didn’t have high hopes that they would rise. I like a thick brownie and like you will just have a real one. I will pass on these. Great review.

Rising agents are negligible in calories, so it’s silly the texture is screwed up. Only sweetness should be affected lol.

Too much fiber and sugar alcohols in the brownies. They have an oat one that tastes very close to the Betty Crocker ones. That has less sugar and more nutrients naturally.
