Driving in Slovenia 4: from Bled to Jesenice - 4K Car Drive

This 4k virtual driving video features a relaxing car drive from Bled to Jesenice (avoiding the highway so you can see how local Slovenian roads and streets look like). The relaxing driving tour links charming Slovenian towns and villages Bled, Lesce, Žirovnica, Vrba, and Jesenice. The scenic drive was filmed in June 2024 and it was surprisingly cloudy.
Jesenice is a town in northwestern Slovenia. The town is well known for its mining and iron making in the past and for steel industries. In addition, it is known for its ice hockey club, HK Acroni Jesenice. The town lies in the Upper Sava Valley: to the north, it is surrounded by the Karavanke, and to the south, by the Mežakla plateau. Jesenice's ironworks and metallurgy industries were historically vital driving forces for the city's development. After World War II, the Jesenice Ironworks became one of the largest steel manufacturers for Yugoslavia, employing over 8,000 people at its peak in the 1970s. Today, Jesenice is less dependent on its metallurgic industry and has begun developing other aspects of its economy. There is one college, two secondary schools, two primary schools and music schools in the town. Some of the famous attractions of Jesenice are Stara Sava, the Jesenice Upper Sava Museum, the Jesenice Mosque, and the Memorial Park on Plavž.
