hi Painbow, i have made it this far but i cant seem to get the (source ~/azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-ah-bot/sql/world/mod_auctionhousebot.sql;) to run keeps coming up with error 2 ?
believe it or not I am the original creator of the Auction House Bot, I made it many years ago for ArcEmu when the private servers were massive back then, its nice to see it still alive and updated.
Appreciate all the work you're doing, fun stuff. I am having trouble getting any modules to work except the playerbots one, (specifically this one). It keeps telling me that the "Table 'acore_world.mod_auctionhousebot_disabled_items' doesn't exist" or whatever the table is for the module im trying to install. Any clue whats going on here? I've followed your file to the letter. Edit: I feel dumb for even posting this, I was at my wits end and then just started back at scratch from the beginning of his file and it ended up working. I had to overwrite stuff after deleting the module but it works now!

I just want to say, that I did this mostly on my own, and it's thanks to your other 1hour vid. I took that vid and did a search for everything I didn't fully understand, and literature on putty and virtualbox is vast. So, thank you for perhaps unintentionally inspiring me to learn all this. Now I'm gonna get other OS's going with all this, and do other cool things. Hopefully one day I can learn how to wrap stuff so I can just make clickable versions of old games or something too. Anyway, thanks so much man.
The possibilities with Linux and all these tools we have are endless. I've always been a Windows boy but in the last year I have been teaching myself Linux just by sheer will, and I've made huge progress. I used to have all my movies (mkv, mp4 etc) on my main PC, and when I wanted to watch one with my girlfriend, I'd FTP it to my living room computer. Not very efficient. Now? I learned about jellyfin, which is a free and open source media player, accessible via your own self hosted website. So when you go to it and set it up, it looks kind of like Netflix, except, of course, all the movies are actually YOURS. So thanks to Linux, I no longer have to transfer movies back and forth - I just access them on my jellyfin web server! Same with my audiobooks and audiobookshelf. All of that is now accessible from anywhere in the world, just like my azerothcore WoW server, and I love it!
Is it just me or does the bot NOT sell any items from crafting professions? No glyphs.. No crafted bags like Netherweave Bag, Frostweave Bag.. etc.. Make me wonder what "OtherItems" is and why we have it disabled..
It's in the installation txt. It's just two add-ons. You've used add-ons in WoW before right? You just download them and extract them to the interface add-ons folder. It's called like AI voice or voice wow. I forget what I wrote. Very easy. Download extract.

Hey, love the series! This is my first time using Linux, and I tried installing the individual progression module. I noticed that for some other modules, it would say in chat, "This server is running the (blank) module." How can I know for sure that the individual progression module is installed? I followed your installation guide for the AccountMounts and No Hearthstone cooldown parts and used that to try to install this particular module.
I installed individual progression module once and it was very weird. I couldn't get bots to teleport into Onyxia's Lair (60) even when I gave them the Drakefire Amulet (the key for original Onyxia). It's like a completely different game, but I don't want to play it if I can't get bots in, right? I don't have 40 humans ready to play at the drop of a hat. If or when bots finally work with individual progression, maybe I'll try it. Now in terms of "announcing" that it's installed... I don't know. Try things? Press buttons? All modules are made by entirely different people. You would think it would be made obvious, but I guess the most obvious to me was I could .teleport Ony or something like that and it ported to the level 60. Or .teleport naxx I think, or .teleport naxxramus. I forget. Try things. If you get bots working in it, let us know.
@@Painbow9553 Yeah, teleporting to .teleport naxx doesn't bring you anywhere but .teleport nax will bring you to the WOTLK naxxramas. I guess I didn't get it to work. What can I do to "unistall" the individual progression module?
Individual progression is so complex I'm not even SURE you can uninstall it. Just start over. I made a new video today showing how EASY it is to start over from scratch: ua-cam.com/video/x6ojQdEDDpM/v-deo.html
Hmm after the compile point I now am seeing in putty under 'wow' - ''StartNetwork failed to bind socket acceptor. Failed to initialize network'' and seems to just loop. I cant then do the command to create an account to be able to log into the game and create a character...Has creating the new SQL account for Heidi messed up the network somehow? Edit: I repeated the steps from earlier in the text file of setting up SQL config and setting the IP again just to cover bases (it just said already done). It mentions at that point to also shutdown Virtualbox and on booting it back up it seems to have worked!
What will happen if i will log onto that account again ? is there way how to repair some bug or error connected with that action? because at module description is written on azerothcoremodules it will just can not load auctionhouse from that character nothing else
The file structure seems to be wrong in the txt file at time of writing , now its "azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-ah-bot/sql/world/mod_auctionhousebot.sql;" at least it was for me. Great guides thanks!

Hey Nirv, Amazing Videos one thing that i was neded after installing other servers that came like a bundle of installation, was a clean install of Azeroth Core and install the world bots, can i ask there is a module for bots to do bg or already i'm able to bg ? because in my current set up bots are not level 10 yet xD

My conf file doesn't seem to end up in /azerothcore-wotlk/env/dist/etc/modules folder. Tried a few times, removing the git folder and redownlaoding. Rerunnning the compile, stop/starting the server. Anyone run into similar issues?
Because you have to copy it with the "cp" commands I have in my txt file. It copies from /azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-playerbots/conf to the /env/dist/etc/modules Don't skip parts of the guide.
@@Painbow9553 We must now copy and edit the ahbot config file. cp ~/azerothcore-wotlk/env/dist/etc/modules/mod_ahbot.conf.dist ~/azerothcore-wotlk/env/dist/etc/modules/mod_ahbot.conf This is the line that is failing for me because ~/azerothcore-wotlk/env/dist/etc/modules/mod_ahbot.conf.dist doesn't exist I have taken your advice though and copied the file from /azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-playerbots/conf Thanks! Well if the file isn't there you could always troubleshoot to see why not. Try git cloning again. Then try apt install mc Then type mc. There. Now you can easily see your folders and search for that pesky mod_ahbot.conf.dist. Look for it. Press buttons.

I have a copy there and a copy in the ~/azerothcore-wotlk/env/dist/etc/modules/ file. however the module isnt loading. I see it when it compiles and gives no errrors but doesnt load on server start. any insite? (I have taken off the .dist off the end)

I think that one sucks because bots don't follow you in the old dungeons like onyxia. Had a lot of problems with it.

Bots seem to do bgs already. I haven't tried with them yet but you can see in the wow session that bgs are constantly being spun up.
