Didnt, know they still had Covid restrictions in Auckland.
Hope after it ends crowds will come back.
Covid, the biggest con ever.
Barrett put on his kicking boots today
Barrett in that cold experienced mode 🔥
It's very rare to see Beauden Barrett having a good goal kicking night..lol
Haha was about to say the say thing 😂
Yeah but his play kicking was crap
Or any Barrett for that matter
He done this few times this season
them early easier kicks helped him catch a rhythm 🥁
Damn a Quarterfinal at Eden Park and ALOT (and I meant ALOT) of empty seats, there definitely would've been ticket sales @ the gate for sure if only I'd known I would have taken my son on a train trip to Mt.Eden.
I take it you mean a lot?
They are all warriors fans now
aucklanders are more interested in mungoball now. their loss I guess.
I’ve heard this a few times from Aucklanders that they simply didn’t know the game was even on. It was a good atmosphere though and seemed like more people than last week. I think the hype is building, but if the Crusaders win, it won’t be a home game next week. Other stadiums in NZ are even more empty and they’re smaller stadiums. I went because I got free tickets, but honestly it’s been so cold here I probably have gone if I didn’t. Purely just because of the cold. But if it had been a semi final I def would’ve gone regardless. But it was a fun game to watch.
@@frnt2bak nah, league is f**kn boring
Been critical of the Blues fwds in the past but cannot fault that effort, parts of that game was just pure magic, fwds and backs, if they can carry that form thru to the next game they will be tough to beat.
Well done Blues. Hooper looked so injured but kept going!
8/12 teams make the QF. Should be the top 4 like back in Super 12...
Yup, they’ve gone for quantity over quality. If this was a semi final against a strong team, there would have been a lot more people there.
It's that way because it's the only way ozzie can get sides into the playoffs.
@@MarkWhippy yup was gonna go but it’s only the Waratahs hopefully nexts weeks competition is worth going. I’m saying that when it comes down to the games every teams on fire
@@richardscanlan3419 Brumbies consistently make the play offs. Meanwhile NZ teams never make the play offs in the NRL/A-League/NBL so wouldn't be a big deal.
@@colejones6312there's only 1 NZ team in each of those competitions you mentioned and 1 of them is a multi championship winner
#Blues 💪💪
Bloody good win. Simply too good for the Tahs.
U notice in Australia u don't see any news on the kick ass win by the blues on tv they just pass it over like it never happened sad really
Where can we watch the full replay?
Fabulous fabulous.
Well done. Blues. I like the way blues playing in the second half. Blues running fast the game. To slow in the first half the half back to slow. I like the way the second half back playing in the second half of the game he's good . Forwards work together and look after the ball. Well done blues. You can beat the Crusaders if you work together. Love you blues.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊 You are the champion for this year 2023.❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Blues prepared well and were rewarded with a solid win.
Its not over until Talia scores
Damn, that blues forward pack, amazing
A good thrashing 🔥🔥🔥
Quarter Final of the Super Rugby Pacific 2023 ...packed stadium I see...
I'd like to see a highlights reel of every time a team scores of one off Beauden's aimless attempts at an exit kick.
Well past his use by date.
I'm proud to be a Blues fan
Blues 💙
too good
This is the time to be playing good rugby, & the Blues certainly showed they have what it takes on the night, way to good for the Tahs
Blues made that look easy. Crusaders will be a tasty matchup💪🏾
Waratahs would have won that…..if the game was only 4 minutes long 😂
I'm happy with 4 minutes......
Go Blues! 🏉🏟🎉
Over half empty at a qauterfinal ? mens rugby in NZ isnt what it used to be im not sure what. BUT somthing needs to change
Blues stand a way better chance of winning the title if Perofeta plays 10 and Barrett 15
Fetta cheese?
Ned Hannigan scores the opening try for the Tahs, but according to the excellent commentator summarising the first half it was actually Jed Holloway. Don't they have the team sheet in front of them? Still, great to see Sean Fitzpatrick scoring off the back of a maul. He's still got it!
I personally think it's time for nisbo to hang it up. He's been missing a lot lately
@@Rayzajw Keith Quinn set the bar pretty high.
@@jakobthelibrarycard6261 the standard is definitely high. Especially since the Australian guy(not sure his name) nails all the Polynesian, Aboriginal and Māori pronunciations lol
No mention for Colin Meads? He had a great game.
@@douglasmiller8641 Was that Colin? I thought I heard them mention Stan Meads dominating lineouts.
BB had his favourite boots on.
Sad to see a half empty stadium in bloody NZ for a super rugby quarter final
Always a good sign when you see the Wallabies players for the Waratahs falling off tackles all night on the blues no-name players.
Up the blues big fan
So nice not to have Justin Marshall interupting TJ every time someone scores a try or breaks a line.
Feel for the Waratahs, as much as I like to see the Blues win I was sort of rooting for the boys from Sydney they had a lot of opportunities but just couldn’t capitalise and I also felt the ref made some questionable calls against them, Michael Hooper got taken out dangerously with a knock to the head that could’ve caused him serious harm but no punishment? why? why don’t we have neutral referees come and ref the final rounds?
The only comment about a turning point in the match. Hooper told the ref, and I saw the replay on TV before the conversion so the TMO could have (SHOULD HAVE) stepped in. That was a red, then the Tahs against 14 may have had a chance.
There’s plenty killing rugby, but poor officiating and the inevitable uneasy feeling that it always benefits certain teams (countries) is perhaps the biggest.
Only one comment (PASKA 5 below) about a turning point in the match, the head on head that could have seriously hurt the Tahs skipper (who retires as one of the hardest blokes out there) . Hooper told the ref, and I saw the replay on TV before the conversion so the TMO could have (SHOULD HAVE) stepped in. If that was a red, then the Tahs against 14 may have had a chance.

@@regularjohn7123 I said they ‘may have had a chance’… the game has rules for a reason, and leading with your head and hitting an opponent with your head usually leads to a card, or at the very least a review.
Tahs clearly struggling, especially without Jake Gordon, but they showed some spirit early on, and next year is a new season of hope (cope?) and opportunity!
Why you showing the conversions?
To promote BB for the ABs…. Cynical of me….?
...another successful season for NSW!!!
Made it to the quarters.
Will have a couple in the wallabies.
Cracked a couple gems I.e. jorgo.
Good on ya lad, got to agree with ya.
Bluesssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's up with half empty stadiums in knockout games? Whats going on with NZ rugby? Tickets too pricey or just not interested? Bribg back the GOOD old days with packed stadiums every weekend
My only worry is having 4 NZ teams in the semifinals and AB players picking up injuries just b4 the upcoming RWC.
Theyve already had their injury quota.
That's all Blues wrote!! 😊
Expected result. Last hope brumbies . Hoping for brumbies sanders final. Just not convinced that the 90”a chiefs are back just yet
Bro I like SRP and all,but it's just not competitive anymore which sucks 😞
Too much team in QF. 8th out of 12 teams in the QF. Semi will be competitive. In actual there are only 5 teams are competitive in the comp. 4 NZ teams and Brumbies. Drua is amazing but very inconsistent.
Solid win to The Blues.
Where are the fans??
It was always going to be an easy game for The Blues❤
Yip its only the tahs nothing to get excited about
Eden park looks empty for a QF at home? why is that?
Pride parade was on.
I have been going to these games and it's sad to see that. It's because everyone all comes in last minute acting like real fans once we make the semi final or final when they should be supporting the team who play for our city throughout the whole season. Not good enough!! Come on Aucklanders!!Where are you?? I'm 💯 for the BLUES no matter what! We're with you till the end!🙏💪💙
So many empty seats for a knock out game? 😢 Sad to see
Sore Hooper one wallob team out well done our blues.
Eekkk, with the first kick from BB, lol.
Actually wasnt a bad kick, more a bad chase when they knocked it back no one was there.
Beaudy the worst AB of all time been saying it for years mate

I can see why there's call to prioritize the NPC again and release ABs players to play for their respective clubs due to the so-so attendance here.
But anyways not surprised at the Blues victory here.
I think that would be the better alternative ad it would reduce costs for the clubs and improve attendances majorly
if they don't care about super rugby, why would people care for NPC?
As a neutral I am ready disappointed in the standard of the Aussie teams I keep hearing how they are improving however I don't see much evidence whenever I have watched them, the NZ teams are pretty good but goodness they don't have a lot to beat do they.
Something NEEDS to be done about Super Rugby Crowds or the lack of it!!! Who gets to be Telea's backup in the #14 All Blacks Jersey?!
glad the blues won
a *needed hiding* Punish that with no Discipline !!!
YAWN.
Imagine being a finals game and seeing all those empty seats.
Full House at Eden Park. Nice.
Only basing this on a few highlight videos, but has the attendance in NZ dropped off a lot since the SA teams left? Or are there other reasons? ...Ireland have replicated the NZ model in recent years and directed resources and attention to the international game rather than the Club game. Does NZ act similarly, and just not market the Club game effectively?
It's hard to market such a contrived competition. The NZ Warriors in the NRL are selling out very game because it's a high quality competition.
@@carpusbarsum NRL a high quality competition, lmao don't make me laugh
@@Mungoball- The NRL is definitely more balanced than Super Rugby, which is part of the appeal. There is no dynasty in the NRL that's even remotely close to replicating what the Crusaders have done. I prefer rugby union, but when the best in League are going at it, it's definitely a much better TV package than every single Super Rugby game outside of the derbies involving NZ's top 4 sides.

Blues wins big, but to be denied a high-5 by your own teammate; that's sad......
Heaps of sooks In the comments 😂
Why the blues where playing rugby in there half like that is ridiculous. Why do contestable kicks inside your own half i don't get that, to much risk I find
Through the years the Super Rugby becomes more boring, always the same teams competing to reach the final, more empty seats in the stadium, less passion for the game, etc. The only good thing about this year was watching the performance of the Fijian Drua and the amazing crowd they have. SR is dying out at the same time that English Premiership.
The English premiership actually sells out stadiums, unlike Super Rugby which barely even gets close to 10k these days.
English Premiership clubs starting to go bust. Playerd all going to France
NZ is expensive and people don’t have the disposable income to bring there families to games. That’s why the stadiums are empty
Dudes come in here to have a cry and say how boring the game is? Wtf kinda of person even takes time out of their lifes to comment shit that means nothing to anyone but themselves on a topic that they aren't even interested in 😂 weirdos
@@sharkysharkvr8835 I'm not the one in here debating if League is better then union if you don't like union then don't watch it simple why even be here? We don't come over to league games highlights and say something childish along the lines of 'oh union is better then league' I wouldn't even bother. But I appreciate your concern for me cheers 👍

WARA-TAH TAH.... LOL
Dude how biased is Tony Johnstone towards Auckland….worse than Steve Roach 🪳
😢What’s with the tiny crowd? Rugby administrators should be worried. Maybe start by getting rid of lineout maul tries, boring as bat 💩.
Attendances and the drop in standard of super rugby games is a complete embarrassment. If they dont sell out games why aren't they giving the tickets out to schools for free?? Used to get up early here in Ireland to watch absolutely cracking games of super rugby. Find it hard to even watch the highlights these days.
Dont watch it then mate. I find the URC dull as dishwater so I dont watch it & I dont slag it off on the highlights videos so as not to offend the URC fans. Pretty simple really.
This game was on at almost the same time as the Warriors. The Warriors have more momentum in Auckland than the Blues do at the moment, especially in South Auckland.
@@SplatWun True mate, even as a die-hard rugby fan I am on the Warriors bandwagon this season!
@@regularjohn7123 couldn't agree more with you on URC and same goes for the champions cup. Restructured format has killed the competitive aspect and the games don't really get good until the semis. Club game in general needs a serious rethink.
I'm calling it as I see it as a fan of superrugby. I can't be critical of a competition which clearly has serious issues in case I hurt peoples feelings...?? Gtfo

Nice empty stadium.
The try @3:14 has the hooker illegally joining the maul then later illegally shifting binds. But ofc the offensive team is allowed to do whatever they want in mauls. Absolute joke. Rugby can't even follow their own rule book and all to promote the absolute worst part of the game.

Yea na cost, and the rules stopped people going. This keeps the interest alive haha😂
Watching this, with empty stands and one sided rugby, I can't help but think that Southern Hemisphere rugby is dying/dead. How long until New Zealand sends a "B-side" to Australia to give them someone to play against? We can call them the "Wallablacks". Although that will probably offend someone. Something's gotta change or the All Blacks will need to follow South Africa to Europe to stay competitive in international rugby. Australia will just have to export AFL. Putting Eddie in charge has pretty much ensured rugby there will go extinct and NRL will be alone in the rugby codes.
Nice thought but there is no way Europe will accept NZ teams purely because of the travel - same reason Andrew Mehrtens was writing 9 years ago about getting rid of SA and why Aus was looking to get rid of Argentina.
Aus are losing players to League and the European teams. Their top talents if not in the starting Wallabies, they will be playing overseas. There are so much good Aussie players in Europe and Japan. Skelton, Emmanuel Meafou, the Arnold twins, Jack Ramm, Mack Hansen, Kuridrani, Kerevi, Q Cooper, Koroibete to name a few.
NZ would never go to those inferior comps in Europe all the best players are here in NZ
@@Trajan2401 the European cup final was levels above this let’s be honest
@@Jamie-ee4ll Agreed. I've been watching a lot of the northern hemisphere rugby and it's a lot more entertaining. The crowds coming to watch it are testament to that. To be fair to the Kiwi fans though, it must get a bit mundane playing Australian teams, knowing that it will be a cake walk for all except maybe the Brumbies. Perhaps Australia could send the idiots running the ARU to NZ for a few years of unpaid work experience to learn how to do it right?
Beauden Barrett back at his pathetic pointless in game kicking game again! Resulting in that very 1st try! He is no longer top 3 NZ 10! Id rather send Dmac, Mo'unga and Perofeta

The Kiwi commentators are nauseating.

Aww would you like a tissue?
