Kimono was introduced to Japan by Korean monk as funeral clothing in plain tan material color which Japenise copied it to make it into their own clothing with coloring because they had none.

It's going to be quite boxy with thicker fabric, you might want to use darts for more figure fitting form

You can use your regular armhole divided by 2 or make it free if you want it loose
