    Wrestlers are a different breed. Boxing is a beautiful sport that relies on conditioning, endurance, and angles. Wrestling goes over the same qualities except for punching, and when both of these are mixed together, they make a very dangerous fighter

      @@itzchaos2181 fair enough. There has been instances where a person timed a knee or uppercut perfectly to shut a grapplers lights out, but that is the exception rather than the rule. But you are right, it has happened before, so I can't really say a striker has no chance at all against a grappler. Even if it's a small chance, it's still a chance nonetheless.

    Funny story. Had two neighbors. One was my height 5'6" he was a wrestler all throughout school. His roommate was a kick boxer, 6'2"-6'4" pretty freaking huge. That proved nothing except that - as in every case in history - an out of shape, overweight, over-the-hill boxer found a way to make quick cash by engaging in a mixed fight. Because of the money disparity, you will never see a boxer, in his prime, fight outside the sport. It only makes sense, financially, when your boxing career has faded and you need cash. But, fighters of other disciplines pretend not to notice this because it doesn't fit their narrative. In his prime, James Toney fought at 160 and 168 and made more money taking a crap than Couture made winning the UFC title.

    If you can’t take the boxer down it’s game over it’s just boxers are ignorant and won’t make adjustments w their stance or w their hand level and all that stuff once the grappler gets hit and gets more nervous to shoot in the striker usually wins in mma but they leave their front leg out way too far stand up way too straight you got to grapple standing and time your punches perfectly or then they shoot in on you and another thing I noticed is they don’t scramble when getting taken down they kind of just lay there instead of fighting it off but yeah a grappler usually wins but that’s only if the striker is ignorant

    • @AyaanyBriyani
      @AyaanyBriyani 2 місяці тому

      Nope wrestlers only need their stance to shoot and for balance but since the boxer can’t wrestle chances are the wrestler won’t even need to use a stance because there’s so many takedowns a wrestler can do without shooting. So the wrestler could play it off and this can get the boxer to get close and in return the boxer will get taken down and fights over

    I rely on boxing more but the wrestler is more likely you grab u then u are to land that “powerful” punch that never comes and if it does they eat it everytime only way a boxer can win is they sprawl and brawl it’s been proven time and time again and say a boxer did get that lucky punch if they fought again the wrestler would win simple as that if a boxer has takedown defense then boxer wins usually a wrestler doesn’t need to know how to strike whatsoever though that’s the difference they will eat the punch just to grab u just do simple research on youtube “boxer vs grappler” I didn’t want to believe it for the longest time neither you don’t typically need to know how to wrestle to win you can def shake a wrestler off of you and fight the takedown but the second you pump your jab they shoot on u and know you’re baiting them into the takedown and they DONT care ab getting punched they bang heads w each other all day

    Most wrestlers come in with their head down and their hands wide apart, a boxer that knows how to step aside and counter punch would be effective, if the boxer has any power in his punches makes the difference

      Bullshit. First of all, no fighting sport trains you to beat multiple opponents; secondly, all it takes to make a boxer unable to hurt you is to grab him, wether you're trained or not, wether it's a 1v1 or not.
