About making a hobby into a job; I love cars and I love photography, so I tried focusing super hard on being a professional car photographer and there was so much pressure on myself and self-criticism about "are these photos good enough?" that I just didn't post. Now I just meet cool people, take it casually, and post whatever I want, it's actually so freeing to just be able to express myself and my passion how I want to and not trying to "post for the algorithm" like many other people do. I've noticed that many people do things for internet clout instead of actual enjoyment and the photos are pointless. It's just "what photo can I take that everyone on Instagram would like?" not "I love this photo I took the other day, this is the story that goes along with it."

I think the biggest thing that people do to themselves is they get so consumed with the negatives in what they do that they forget the positives sometimes. Being a full time UA-camr is a dream come true to people who aren’t full time UA-camrs. It’s the good ole saying you want what you can’t have. Now that’s not always necessarily true because you can have it you just have to work for it. We are humans we are always trying to keep ourselves satisfied but we think it has to be in something new. The biggest thing is just being appreciative of the things we have now rather than what we had in the past or what we could have in the future. Love your rambles Wally keep it up man!

Maaan i completely agree with the hobby as a job thing.. i grew up my whole life doing art. Started traveling to a ton of states just to paint graffiti murals with friends.. i always liked designing digital as well but as soon as i got a job as a graphic designer i started hating doing art. The timelines and due dates made me stressed out because i like to create at my own pace. like video games for you, art was my one thing to shut off the world and thats exactly what happened every time i painted with no deadline or on of some term.. thats crazy you said that. I tell people all the time that ask me why i dont do tattoos or some type of art for work and they never understand this thought process really lol.... dope vids though man! I dig watching em

Hey wally you`v been talking about the blue light glasses, while you still dont have one you could use the "night light" option on windows, you can control the intensety and it does pretty much the same thing as the glasses, hope it helps!

Hey dude I really relate to that feeling of being forced to participate in your hobby because you made it your job. I was a musician for a time and while I did enjoy it, there was always a sense of insecurity. My friends were all graduating college and getting jobs which made me acutely aware that I didn't have any education or work experience to fall back on. Now I'm 30 and I'm no longer working as a musician, I have a family and a really good job that I make good money at, and I play music when I have time. Not giving advice, but I feel like I went through a similar experience and after I decided to change my relationship with my hobby I no longer feel the way you're feeling now. Do what makes you happy ❤
